Thank you.  And I say that on behalf of all veterans who, like me, sometimes find ourselves the target of internet trolls and bullies who ridicule and demean our military service.

Your assurances would be erroneous. I disagree with Jay more than you'd probably expect, but I appreciate his very pointed and distinctive takes on a lot of topics. 

And while I wouldn't have used quite the same words that he used, I agree with him that the other poster's apparent condemnation of Muhammad Ali as a coward is severely misguided.

Just in case my comment has been misunderstood, I am referring to the military propaganda machine. I want YOU. Etc.

My feeling is that it is more disrespectful to veterans of Vietnam to keep pretending that the war was a good thing. I would never be disrespectful or ridiculing or demeaning to these people, who I see as victims. This truth should be recognized.

I fail to even see how HG could possibly take offense at this.

I’m not your biggest fan either.

I'm just reflecting on the hate-filled abuse I suffered here yesterday.

I fail to understand it. I'd like to remind folks that "victim" is not an insult in any way, or derogatory in any way. I thought everybody knew this, but seemingly not. I'd also like to stress that "victim" and "hero" are in no way mutually exclusive.

And, Rachel Maddow will interview Hillary Clinton tonight (MSNBC, 9 PM ET).  Hillary was part of the team to help Kamala prepare for the Presidential Debate.  Shows the AMAZING work that can be accomplished when two strong women (one a woman of color) come together to triumph over a COWARDLY MAGA SEXUAL ABUSER.

Wouldn’t NLB be kinda wasted on Herbie? Not much comedy to mine, or maybe I’m wrong.

Not the same thing. Daniel Radcliffe is a lovely and decent guy, but to me at least he is not a star.

Apparently, the Convicted Felon is claiming that the Presidential Debate audience "went crazy" for him.  There was no audience.

Hmmm.

Kamala Harris has accepted an invitation from CNN for a second Presidential Debate on October 23rd.  Same rules as for the first debate.  Nothing from the other side.

That was an interesting debate. Both candidates seemed decent, warm, and likeable. I say seemed. Obviously one is not. There were hints of the evil lurking underneath at times , but overall I’d say JD Vance came out of that quite well. Unfortunately.

Can we just skip to November 6 already?

It was nice to actually have a debate where one of the candidates doesn't resort to name calling for 90 minutes. It was fairly civil, too. Vance lied for the majority of the debate while Walz was clearly nervous for the first 30 minutes or so. Nothing groundbreaking from either but Vance, at the end, still won't admit that #45 lost the 2020 election.
