Romantico, what you wrote seems all too likely to happen, and quite sad.
Romantico, it was God's will. He had nothing to apologize for, remember?
I think this is a good idea for Florida
George Zimmerman believes it was all of God's plan. So, if he becomes a huge star because he killed a teenager and got away with it, well he deserves it all. A gift from God. This is how these people think.Zimmerman will now be even more paranoid and I bet the NRA or the President of Colt or Glock will present him with a brand new hand gun for him to carry and conceal, just on case there's trouble again.
Prosecute the prosecutor!
...and at the very least, Angela Corey should resign. Disgraceful.
Why is she smiling?!
Everyone wants to be the first to get George Zimmerman for an interview but I am more curious to hear the six jurors explain how an armed man shoots a teenager armed with Skittles and Ice Tea and he is somehow the victim here.
I have no desire to hear one word from George Zimmerman, and will boycott whatever media/press he selects to speak to.
I wonder if any of the jurors will step forward?

I am so filled with disgust. At the verdict. At bigots on Twitter. At so many ignorant people who just don't get it.
Lifetime is probably working out the final plans for a script for a movie now. They did one for Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias.
It's so nice to know that murder is allowed in Florida for some people...

Between this and Grown Ups 2 doing well at the box office, the idiots are definitely winning
A friend posted this on Facebook and I was curious as how everyone would respond:
"Should Zimmerman have been guilty just because Trayvon was black?"
I personally, I haven't been able to follow the case to a large extent but I do know I don't agree with the outcome.

Do I personally buy the prosecution's argument that Zimmerman was a wanna be cop with deep seated prejudices at the root of his actions that night? Yeah. Does that mean they proved to a jury beyond reasonable doubt that Zimmerman wasn't acting within Florida's [idiotic] legal system? That's a little hazier. I just think it's unreasonable to expect one jury in one trial to right decades - hell - centuries of social injustice against an entire race of people.
I knew the jury wouldn't convict him of first degree murder, but I did think they'd at least get him for manslaughter.
George Zimmerman may have been acquitted by the jury and the court, but he'll get his eventually. Of that, I have no doubt. He'll be living in fear for likely the rest of his life.
I'm more worried about the dangerous precedent that this decision has set. They've basically said that it's perfectly fine to shoot someone in Florida as long as you claim it was in self-defense.
By the logic of this decision, any black man who comes across George Zimmerman should fear for his life, and act accordingly...
Not that I would expect the same verdict in such circumstances.
George Zimmerman will get the gun he used to murder Trayvon back. After being told what he did was ok. How long before he does it again?
Thankfully the state of florida hasn't received any of my tourism dollars in over 10 years. I have no intention of ever setting foot in this backwards state with it's ridiculous "stand your ground/pro NRA" law.
"Should Zimmerman have been guilty just because Trayvon was black?"
Yeah because the United States has a long history of white men being wrongly prosecuted for alleged crimes against black men. Think your friend could find another example of that?
George Zimmerman should have been found guilty for racially profiling an unarmed black BOY, deciding he was a criminal, stalking him and executing him on the street.
George Zimmerman was Trayvon Martin's judge, jury and executioner. And a jury in Florida just said that was ok.
You can tell your friend that Zimmerman is FREE because Trayvon was black.

Without even considering race, here is a very simple and straightforward breakdown of WHY Zimmerman should have been found guilty of at least Manslaughter. I could not agree more with him if I tried!
"No reasonably careful person would do what the man did, and that should be obvious to everyone."
I am appalled at the 6 women who couldn't see what everyone elise could see.
And 4 of them are others.
And why is there only a jury of 6 people?

In Florida, you are only required to have six members on the Jury. It was ruled on in 1970 by the Supreme Court to be "constitutional." Florida always has to be different than everyone else! Ugh.
Also, I would argue that we're completely overlooking the beginning of the end for the prosecution: jury selection. Five white women and one hispanic woman - where is the diversity? I believe that played a huge role in this final decision, even if it shouldn't have. That's where it all started.
There were supposed to be two black jurors but Zimmerman's attorneys challenged and were able to get them thrown off. That's too bad.
And then there is this.
Which makes me even angrier at the disgraceful work of the prosecutors, and am absolutely sickened by Angela Corey's 'performance' during the press conference following the verdict.
