"Lyke, you're Jewish too? OMG mazlitaf baby!!!!" re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2 (buahahaha he reminds me of the character Leslie Kritzer played in Legally Blonde...or the one who thinks Elle is stuck in the Old Valley Mill).

Omigod, you guys! (He's such a girl.)

Back tracking a little, I really like what he was wearing the other night. I'm glad I'll have a little break before seeing his show again in January, though. I hope he changes it up by then. There's only so many times you can sit through "Me and Larry," no matter how great he sounds.

Chloe, I'm sitting here watching Legally Blonde. I just looked at that picture and laughed out loud.

Does anyone have stills from Adam's fangirl imitation?

Trust me, brina, you're not missing much.

While shopping this weekend, I saw a shirt that I've seen Adam wear. I stood there for 5 minutes thinking it looked familiar. It was in the girl's section. Now I can't seem to find a picture of him in it. To his defense, it could be unisex...I guess.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

It may not have been the same, but very very similar at least. It had words on white strips and a swirly design, possibly skulls, on blue/purple/greenish background.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

Adam has many infamous shirts.

I'm also watching Legally Blond. Not impressed, so far.

I've seen a lot of men's shirts with similar designs lately. I really like that leather jacket.

The leather jacket he had on in the Toledo pictures looked exactly like the Roger jacket from the Rent movie, didnt it?

Dani - you just made my night, thank you! That was so funny

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

I too am crossing my fingers that Adam changes things up by January. I have been holding off on purchasing tickets to (most likely) his Port Washington show, because as much as I love Adam, I'm not sure I *need* to see the same show, down to the between song banter, for a 4th time. I hate to admit this, but by the BB Kings show, I found myself somewhat bored with the set. To his defense though, from where I was sitting, the sound was quite horrible. That is what I get I guess for getting there 5 minutes before the show was to start.

And while I am on the subject, I'm not sure I fully 'get' what Adam is trying to do with his music career besides make some money. I know that he is a busy man balancing acting and music, etc., but I don't feel that he is really getting anywhere by doing these scattered dates, with so many centered in the the tri-state area. I mean we are going on, what, in January a year and half of the same 'Me and Larry' show?

And while I am being critical, the new record kinda concerns because is it just going to be studio recordings of songs that have been circulating for the past and year and half? As much as I would appreicate hearing a professional recoding of them, I really hope him and Larry have some surprises hiding up their sleeves, because as soon as that record comes out, he should be out touring to support it, and I really don't want to be still seeing the same show another year from now.

And heh, Chloe, thanks for the photo.

I kind of want to watch for the sake of seeing a Broadway show on TV, but I'll wait till Youtube clip's come up re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

So you know the Roger leather coat? I have one identical to it that I bought at Ragstock for $20 bucks. I'll have to see about taking a picture of it and showing you guys, because it looks just like the movie one. And it's super snuggley warm too!

I have some of the same concerns, matjomae. I think the lack of fresh material at the shows is due to the fact that it's been almost three years since Civilian. We want new stuff, but he's been working on the new album, and I guess wants to "save" new material for that tour? I'm sure he will perform new stuff once the album is released. It really wouldn't make sense for him to perform the show he is now in another year, you know?

I guess we just have to wait and see

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

i think you make a valid point about adam's musical career.

i'm not sure adam knows what he wants to do with his musical career. i think this is where the documentary comes in. in speaking to David and Ilana they are hoping to create more of a buzz about adam's music by doing this documentary and hopefully some other media. i know they asked a lot of people what they thought adam should do to get himself out there as a musician. i think any one of his songs on MP or Civilian could get radio play but being that he's on an indie label that's gonna be hard.

i agree that he wouldn't play the new stuff yet, as the CD isn't out yet. i know he did a photo shoot for it recently so hopefully that is a step forward.

hopefully he will take these suggestions from his fans to heart and surpise us come January. I for one could listen to him sing the phonebook and be happy.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

I'm kind of tired of him performing 'One Song Glory' at all of his gigs. I know that's the song that everyone is really coming to see him sing, but if he's wanting to stick with having a RENT tune thrown in he should try something like 'I'll Cover You' or even 'Without You'. 'Halloween' could be interesting as well.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

I felt the same way at BB King's matjomae, and I agree with most of your post. I feel like I'm being overly critical lately, not because I don't think what he's doing is good, but because I don't know if something called "ME AND LARRY" will be taken as seriously as they would've hoped. I recently heard that he said he wants to sell a million albums (probably being slightly sarcastic). I think they'll really need to consider a lot of these things when planning the tour and the album. I guess whatever makes him happy. (I still wonder if they're recording any of the Broadway songs for the new record.)

About seeing him in concert- this will be my..5th time *covers face* seeing him, and I can't help but feel like I'm getting a little too old to be traveling up and down the east coast for some guy I don't even know. My mother seriously thinks I'm a groupie in every sense of the word. But in the same idea as some of the posts I missed a few pages back, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to meet a lot of cool people and have so many fun stories. I guess seeing Adam is something I associate with feeling good, so it's probably not a surprise that so many of us keep going back even though we can't explain why.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

Their touring dates are really weird, being scattered around and the album not having come out yet. I also hope they have new songs on the album other than what they've been singing. I haven't seen their live show, so I can't say whether I want change or not, but changes would probably be nice.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

the new record kinda concerns because is it just going to be studio recordings of songs that have been circulating for the past and year and half?

They'll be on there, I'm assuming, but it'll be more than just that. The shows he's been doing for the past year and a half have actually only had what, a total of four new songs? Save for Maria, Maybe This Time and What I Did for Love, the stuff is almost all off of Model Prisoner and Civilian. So there's got to be quite a bit more new material for the record that they're just not performing yet.

I watched Legally Blonde yesterday (for shame, I know). I wanted to kick Laura Bell Bundy. What a disaster. The show isn't THAT bad itself -- not my thing, but has the potential to be fun, at the very least -- but nothing could redeem how atrocious her performance was.

I know you're not the only person who feels that way! It kind of puts him in a bad position, because on one hand, it can be a great way to expose people to his solo music. On the flip side, I think he realizes that a lot of his fan base will travel with him, so they don't want to hear the same song at every show.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 13 1/2

I guess my concern is coming from the fact that the only people who really care about Adam's solo music career are people who are fans of Rent and/or his other Broadway work.

If he had scheduled a show at my college, and I had no idea what Rent was or that he was in it, I would not even think about attending the show as it is being marketed right now. Playing Broadway covers appears to a very targeted and niche audience. This coming from a newbie Broadway fan, who didn't really get into Broadway until I moved to NYC for my work.

I am also still scratching my head as to why Fuse is interested in him. Fuse seems a little too 'hip' for him. (Ah, I know, that was a bit harsh, but true...)

I do like Adam, really I do : P

And sweet, aw 5 times is nothing. To make you feel better, a friend and I did a road trip this summer following the John Mayer (and Ben Folds) tour for 3 dates over a weekend. It was honestly the most fun I've had in quite some time : P
