I assume he feels okay sharing this kind of stuff because sex isn't a big taboo to him. To me his attitude implies that he finds it hugely enjoyable and sometimes slightly ridiculous. Also, I wouldn't take what he said as boasting about his confidence, but as a result of it.

I think he definitely meant it in a joking way. Honestly? It probably went over a lot of the younger people's heads, and the parents just kind of awkwardly laughed along. I don't think people were offended really, just not expecting him to come out and say that.

I just try to imagine me taking my 15 year old daughter to that. I don't think she'd be listening to Adam Pascal much longer.

In the same way that we can't read into the person falling asleep, let's not turn this into some big thing. I know he was going for laughs, that was obvious, but it was an awkward moment in the sense that I don't think a majority of the people in the audience were familiar enough to know his sense of humor, and just didn't know how to process it.

One thing we've all failed to mention about the napper was that he or she was in the first few rows. Adam pointed this out to all of us, shushed us, and proceeded to continue singing "Just As I Am" to the sleeper as a soft lullaby before cracking up. It was really funny.

He cracked up a few times during the night. Several times he did this in the middle of songs, lol, and couldn't continue for a few seconds.

But it's not confidence, it's cockiness. When I first read their comments, it reminded me of the attitude/sense of humor of every guy I went to college with. When you're a middle-aged married man with kids, it's not cute or confident or whatever other euphemism you want to attach to it so it makes Adam sound better; it's just immature.


I just try to imagine me taking my 15 year old daughter to that. I don't think she'd be listening to Adam Pascal much longer.

I think the underlying motivation is honestly little more than the knowledge that his fans like to hear him talk about sex. They think it's cute, funny, whatever.

And yeah, Emcee. I think he knows what will get a rise out of his audience. Even though it sometimes borders on TMI, I did find that to be one of the funniest comments last night. I do agree with LuckyStar to a point. I doubt people who don't "know" Adam's sense of humor would find it funny, at least for the same reasons.

A biological miracle and a bit of a preschool slut.

I don't think it's necessarily wrong for him to talk about sex or penises or boobies or whatever else he saw written on the bathroom stall, but you can't make excuses for his behavior to avoid admitting that he's just being crass.

I know Adam has a potty mouth and obviously gets a kick out of making risqué comments. My reaction was specifically to those saying "poor Adam" and "ouch!" as if he were admitting to something painful, and my points were that he shouldn't be taken literally and that he was joking about being inadequate, which men don't usually do if they actually feel sexually inadequate. That's all.
