You ate a cute kangaroo?

Oh, Mussels are great.
Anyone who hasn't tried Calamari, I suggest you do so. It's so good.
And so is escargot, which is another thing most people won't eat.
Yes I did. There's 7 kangaroos to every one person in Australia. They deserve to be eaten for overpopulating.

Katt, I'm definitely not that adventurous!
Can I just take a moment to say that your avatar makes me smile? Hee.

Hee, I love it. And he's chewing gum in the picture. It makes me laugh.
I think all the weird things I have eaten are:
Raw Oysters, Crocodile, Alligator, Emu, Fried Calmari, NOT fried Calamari, Frogs Legs, Kangaroo, Octopus, Caviar (on my pizza, and by itself), Escargot, Turtle Soup (not weird for me, but maybe for some people :P) and some other things that I can't remember.

I used to be the pickiest eater ever, but lately I've started to branch out a lot more and try different ethnic foods, etc. It's fun, actually. I've found that I really like Ethiopian food.
Calamari really is good.
Okay, so I don't know if it's just me, but I have this weird psychological thing about eating things like chicken off the bone or shrimp with tails. I can't do it. I don't like any reminders that I'm eating a dead animal, thank you very much. I guess the proper solution would be to become a vegetarian, heh.
Interesting, Ashley. I just get annoyed when shrimp are served with the tails still on, especially at restaurants where I'm paying enough that they could remove the damn tails for their patrons.

I like chicken too much to be a vegetarian!
Calamari is God. Or at least a close second to Adam.

That annoys me too Jessica. Although at the same time, I do NOT like it when they serve lobster out of the shell. I prefer to do that myself.
I like veal and shrimp too much to be a vegetarian.

The thing that annoys me about veal is that it is very expensive, and the amount you get is too small to be worth the price.
I like steak, pork, and chicken. I could never be a vegetarian. Although, I'm still distraught over the kangaroo.

My friend said that eating a kangaroo was like eating a dog, and therefore not okay.
But no really, eating kangaroo is just doing Australia a favor. SEVEN kangaroos to one person! Overpopulation is no one's friend.
Guacamole from Ann Serranne's Good Food Without Meat:
1 peeled, chopped California avocado
1 peeled and minced clove of garlic
juice of 1/2 lemon
20 drops Tabasco
2 tbsps olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Mix ingredients coarsely, mixture shouldn't be too smooth
ETA: i would think that if there's a kangaroo overpopulation, it's because their natural predators have been eliminated. Unless that was the aborigines.

But it could've been Winnie the Pooh's friend.

Well, Winnie the Pooh has a few million more friends to choose from :P

Thanks, Chloe! That sounds ridiculously simple.
The only one of those unusal foods that I've eaten is calamari. I love calamari.
You're so heartless :P

Did you eat the mother or the baby?
Broadway Legend Joined: 1/22/06
The baby of course. I eat babies for breakfast.

See that BWW headline titled "Rasche, O'Keefe..."? I saw the "asc" combination of letters and at first glance immediately assumed it was Adam. Hah.
Obviously, I have a very one-track mind.
Oh my God, Sarah, that's awful!
Don't look at me Lexi, I'm not the baby eater.
