Off-topic, but pretty cool nonetheless:
April 1st or 2nd (I'm not sure), Jesse L. Martin is going to be at my brother's school (Brandeis University)! It has nothing to do with Rent, but it's still pretty cool! I'd love to go, but I can't, so I'm going to try and get my brother to go.
That is pretty cool. I have to go now because I have a physics test tomorrow that I need to study for. I'll talk to ya'll later!
Something else I really enjoy is personality typing... not necessarily those five-question quizzes where you get a little result box that you post on your LiveJournal, but Myers-Briggs typing, the Enneagram, and the like. I don't know how truly scientific any of it is -- in fact, I don't think the Enneagram is remotely scientific at all -- but I find it very interesting.
Ooh, I have a whole book of tests like that somewhere around here. I remember going through all of them and then spending hours typing up the results in my Xanga. Yes, I had a bit too much free time on my hands my senior year of high school :-P
Oh man, look at this list of "teasing nicknames" for Jessica. I've actually been called some of the milder ones, and some of the naughtier ones would never have occurred to me but are totally awesome: http://tools.oxygen.com/babynamer/Content.cfm?ContentTypeID=1005&NameID=20649&BabySiteID=14337953

Jessica, the fact that you linked to that page is cracking me up. I discovered that site in sixth grade or so and printed out that very page for my best friend named Jessica. She flipped out on me! Ah, memories.
I have a bit too much free time this year as well!... hence my nightly participation on this thread.
Nice avatar change, by the way. Is it just me or, um, does it not look like he's wearing underwear? That's the first thought I had when seeing those enlarged photos! Sorry, I'm horrible.
Heh, Jessica, I looked at that page for the drawbacks of my name and I wasn't called a single one of them. Some were just weird. Like "Aim Toothpaste" and "Amos Obadiah." HUH?!
Heh, I was wondering if anyone would notice that I changed my avatar The thumbnail of that pic was my avatar when I first started posting, and now that we have the actual pic, I figured I'd bring it back.
LEXI! Now that's all I'll be able to think about when I look at those pics :-P
Great - why is he going to be there?
ETA: Whoops, the thread moved way ahead of me. Why is Jesse going to be at Brandeis?

Aim Toothpaste?
My name doesn't have any "drawbacks," by the way. :P I get to be called names such as Sexy Lexi instead. Trust me, it's not an often occurrence.
Hee. I noticed, Jessica, albeit a bit late! And... come on. Don't tell me it didn't cross your mind!
It hadn't crossed my mind, but that would be very Adam.
Sexy Lexi and Juggsica. Sounds like a great name for a girl group, doesn't it?

Heh, Chloe. Adam... always doing things his own way!
Jessica, that sounds like a warped version of the Spice Girls. I like it.
This is a funny one that hasn't gotten posted here before, i don't think.
Having to walk around a party full of people you don't know is AWESOME. It was a party for the first birthday of Johnstown Magazine. My damn teacher told us we could go there for an hour of class and we thought it would be fun. Most of the class just sat there, but I insisted on walking around and ended up talking to a few people. The best part is... after we left the party, we went to my professor's house to have class. That was WEIRD! Ugh.
Loooooooong day, blah. I want to go to sleep.
/end rant
Carry on, sorry.
If by girl group you mean a photospread in Playboy, definitely.
Tummy!
That's a cute pic. It's a perfect fusion of the sexy (well, duh) and the dorky (the wacky arm-stretching pose and facial expression).

I thought I posted all of those when we first discovered the high-res images, but it never hurts to post them again.
Commando. I think. Hee.
Skittles, trust me, I don't have enough boobage to be in a Playboy spread even if I wanted to.

I missed the fun name stuff. Mine (Allison) is the Medieval Norman form of Alice, which is the short form of the Old French Adelais, itself a short form of Adalheidis. It tells me to see Adelaide, which says, "From the Germanic name Adalheidis which was composed of the elements adal 'noble' and heid 'kind, sort, type'."
So, um, noble type?

Tummy!
I need to know how to respond...if someone told you they've never had apple pie in their life. To me, this is odd...but perhaps I'm overreacting?
Of course, Allie! Again, I never would have guessed it went back so far.

Force-feed that person a slice right away, Amber. Hey, question: a lot of people think it's weird to eat apple pie with a big piece of cheddar cheese... what do you all think? That's the only way to eat it, as far as I'm concerned. I know ice-cream is popular, but nothing beats apple pie and cheddar cheese!
ETA: I know, Chloe! I never would have linked Allison to Adelaide! My sister's name means "rival". Ooooooh.

That was my reaction as well Allie...we were having baked apples, and I said it was just like apple pie, without crust...then she told me she'd never had pie. I was like, okay, on my list for baking next week...apple pie!
I've never had it with cheese...but I won't lie, I'd try it. I do love me some apple pie...and I also love me some cheese!
I've never tried apple pie with cheese, but read about it - I think it might be more an Engllish thing? I'm curious about Amber's friend who's never had apple pie. Maybe his/her mother didn't like pie and never served it.

It's delicious, Amber! I don't know if it's a Nova Scotia thing or not, but a lot of my school-mates from last year looked horrified when I went for the cheese at meal hall on apple pie night.
I'm going to make baked apples tomorrow! What a coincidence! What do you put in yours? Brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon for me, but I'm going to add some rolled oats this time.
I'm sure I must have had apple pie at some point in my life, even if I didn't particularly like it.

Yeah, that's what shocked me. People may not like it, but its just one of those like, staples everyone's had once....
I add those, as well as a little bit of butter and lemon juice :)
