Lexi, that's pretty much exactly how I am. I have at least 10 "volumes" of various things I've taped in the past 3 and a half years, with the dates of the first and last things on the tape written on the label.
As for the actual episode of Cold Case, I'm not even worrying about taping that because I know I can download it from Bittorent
Oops, there's a basketball game on CBS right now, when 60 Minutes should be on. That means the whole schedule will get pushed back, in which case they might not show any previews in order to make up time. Just a heads up.
To me there's no comparison between a good quality videotape or DVD with something you can find online. I just love to see as much detail as possible.
I'll just leave CBS on at all times.
Just so you know, Cold Case will probably start late tonight - there's basketball on still.

Hah, Jessica! I love our anal-retentiveness. It's weird how I can be completely anal about certain things (usually somewhat technology related, for whatever reason) and couldn't care less about everything else.
Downloading torrents seems like such a pain when I can just push the record button. :P
(POSSIBLE) glimpse of Adam in approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
ETA: Or not, apparently.

We'll see. It may be different out west too.

I'm not sure if you were referring to the actual west, but I can safely report that basketball is (unfortunately) still on for me as well here in the good ol' midwest.
We should repost the Cold Case photos in a mini-celebration. Wheee.
It's going to be a tough call for me next week. I love West Wing and we're running out of episodes because it's almost the end, but I also can't wait for Cold Case! I'm going to have a horrible time deciding what to watch and what to tape!

Heh, same here. I love how I could care less that my desk is overwhelmed with all sorts of paper and clutter, but if I go home and find that my mom has altered the seemingly haphazard arrangement of books on my bedroom floor in any way, I flip out.

[geek]But most TV-show torrents are ripped directly from a HDTV feed and are better quality than a VHS tape![/geek] Heh, I am such a (to steal a term from another fandom) quality whore
You all can stare at my avatar.
Bittorrent is great. I don't have a TV or an associate recording device. I can watch stuff in the lounge of my floor if I really want to, but if I miss out or want to watch it 30 times, it's a godsend. And much more reliable than other downloading programs.
I haven't had an Adam avatar in.... a really long while.

You're right about the quality of a lot of torrents, Jessica. I still like having the actual tape in my library, though. I'm weird!
Em, way to neglect him! :P
JL, that's a tough choice!
SD, what time does Cold Case come on for you? Here it's supposed to be 8pm.

Cold Case airs at 7 PM CST for me -- so essentially the same time as it does for you.
Here's the *other* cute cuddly picture.
I see. It probably doesn't make any difference then. Why is the game running so late?
Is the game in overtime?
Yes it is next week, but we're anticipating a possible preview at the end of this week's episode.

I think I might actually WATCH Cold Case tonight.
I'll read Pygmalion during the commericals, I suppose.
I think I'm going to read Hamlet during the commercials, Lexi.

It's just... I've said it so many times before on here, but I have absolutely zero motiviation to do anything school-related anymore. I just feel like I'm... drifting. Anyway, at least my English teacher keeps me somewhat motiviated. He's super cute and his demeanor reminds me a lot of Adam, strangely enough. It's not a case of me slapping on the "Adam" label to anyone who's remotely cute, but his voice and mannerisms are totally him. I'm guessing my teacher has a BIT more going on upstairs, though.
Hee, Mandi. I actually never had to read Hamlet. I don't know if I should be happy or sad about that, either.
Oooh, Pygmalion! I read that in my sophomore year of high school and I think I liked it.
I liked Pygmalion quite a bit. It's the basis of My Fair Lady, as I'm sure you know, but a little more tough-minded, especially at the end.

I'm trying to get past the flower girl's horrible accent in the first act! It's very petty of me, but I've always found it so difficult to read anything that's written partially in local color.
Can 60 Minutes please just end?! Argh.
