Nia will be pleased with this: I was just flipping through the anthology of drama I had to buy for class. Death of a Salesman is in there. Now I won't have to buy it! I promise I'll read it, Nia!
And Millenium Approaches is in there, too. Woo! But I did need to buy that. Because I love it.
erm, sort of, Atrias. https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?thread=867301&dt=091305035046
I love Death of a Salesman.

Well, a while ago I purchased the AIDA cast recording. I must say, Adam kicks some major ass as Radames. Ah, I love him. In general, I can't wait to see AIDA here in California!
Just thought I'd peep in with some praise.
You guys, I just spent 15 FRUSTRATING minutes on the phone trying to get in touch with a live person at SOME movie theatre near me, and you know what they tell me? "No, you won't be able to have all the RENT parapernalia(?) once the movie is over. Not even if the employees don't want it." Except much less eloquently. I think the lady thought I was a little crazy.
Maybe if I go and actually talk face to face with a person...

Sorry, Elphie. Do you know anyone who works there? Know anyone who knows anyone? There are less direct ways.

I've got my assistant manager friend on the look-out for me.
I *might* know someone who works at a movie theatre. Maybe. I can't remember. I'll check. *hopes and prays*
Lucky, Allie!

I might be able to snag something via my friend, too. Good luck.
What kind of 'paraphanalia' will there be, anyway?
I ordered a poster on eBay. I decided that battling it out with NYC movie theatre employees wasn't worth my while.
Okay...what they need is stand ups in the movie theater. And well...I shall run out like a crazed maniac with it. (It worked out nicely when my friend kidnapped a cardboard Vin Diesel.) I'm definately giving my local movie theater a call.
*pokes thread*
bumpity bump.
My RENT poster came today, and it's beautiful. I really wish they WOULD have cardboard cutouts, though... I think I'd become a bit of a thief.

Are these posters for sale everywhere yet? My university is having a huge poster fair at the end of the month, and I'm curious as to whether or not they'll have it. Are you getting a frame for it, Em?
You got one Emcee?? That's awesome!!! They better start selling those soon. I'm sure they'd make a killing selling them!
Speaking of RENT Posters, the teacher that runs my film club had a huge stack of these promotional RENT (the show) posters just laying there, and he said I could take some... I grabbed like, 15 of them. *Sigh* I'm a poster whore. I want the movie one!!!
I'm not sure. I bought mine on eBay, because the poster website I found that had it wanted $50 for it, and I really wasn't about to pay $50 for a poster. I got this one for seventeen. And it's big and shiny and lovely. It's one of the earlier ones, but I don't care. Now there are ones that have credits and cast listing and such - this one says the film is not yet rated, and then just says "In Movie Theaters This November." The actors aren't listed or anything, but it has the website, and the Columbia Pictures/Revolution Studios/1492 Productions logos, etc.
I think I'm going to frame it, but I haven't decided what color yet. Probably black. Opinions?
That's a great bargain!! $50 is WAY overpriced!!
Definitely go black. Since the posters are so many colors, you don't want the frame to clash. So black would probably look the best.

I agree. $50 is way too much to spend on any poster! And black is definitely the way to go for a frame.
I want a poster. Maybe I shall splurge...

Oh my goodness, the Adam thread almost fell off the second page into the abyss of the third! Scaaaary!
*hugs poor neglected thread* I'm sorry! I'll never abandon you again!

*pets thread* I know. Poor Adam has been neglected reacently. What are you up to, Atrias? I'm procrastinating... my laundry needs to be done tonight.
Not doing too much. I have to babysit in half an hour.
