Good morning, thread!
I've wanted a cat for years, but our landlords won't let us have pets (even though I think they have a cat).
I'm not quite sure what my grandma's cat thinks she is, but she's definitely fun to be around. She doesn't have that typical cat fear of water - I've seen her jump into sinks - and she LOVES when my family comes to visit because that means the sofa beds get opened and she can hide underneath them and smack the bedsprings. She also likes to catch lizards (my grandma lives in Florida near a lake, so there are lots of little critters roaming about).
Ugh, I love how I'm on vacation and I'm waking up earlier than I do at school (my mom woke me up before 7 today because we missed the sit-down breakfast yesterday and she wants to go shopping in port and still have time to lounge by the pool). It doesn't help that I'm not going to bed that much earlier than I normally do (dinner isn't until 8:30, and there's usually a show afterwards - they actually had Charo as a special guest entertainer last night - so I'm not getting back to my room until midnight). Not that I'm really complaining - I'm having a lot of fun.
Ha, I am such a dog person and have always despised Cats. However, when my sister got a new kitty, I fell in love w/ him. He would jump on my lap and purr for half an hour, so i got to keep him since he wasn't getting along w/ my sister's other cat. Talk about thinking he's a dog...he wags his tail, drinks from the toilet, plays w/ me like a dog, loves it when I rub his belly, etc. He's so adorable, I love him...one of the few cats I love.
So...babies...
I just think they're amazing. And I really want one. I don't want the pregnancy, though, just the baby. I think I'll ask the stork to bring me one for Chanukah. Yup, that's what I'll do!

Regis was a repeat...always good to see Adam's face in the morning though!
YAY! 1st double post!
That's cool that they re-aired the segment from when the cast was on. I know that a lot of times when a talk show is on vacation, they'll put together episodes using bits and pieces of previous shows instead of just airing re-runs.
Chloe, I'm definitely enjoying it. We're docked in St. Maarten today, so I went into town with my family for a couple of hours to do some shopping. Then we went back on the ship to lounge by the pool - since we're in port, it's not crowded (unlike yesterday, when finding an empty chair was a major struggle). Now I'm back in my room, happy to be online and far away enough from my mom that she can't spray any more sunscreen at me
The other ports the cruise is going to are Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados (normally, this particular cruise would also have gone to St. Thomas, but because it would have been there on Christmas day when everything was closed, it didn't). I'm really excited because St. Maarten is the only port of those that I've been to before (the last time my family went on a cruise).
Yep, mothers with sunscreen are a real pain. My mom gets all bent out of shape if I go outside before putting sunscreen on, and she'll spray each arm and leg 3 or 4 times - she has no problem treating me like a 5-year-old in public when it comes to stuff like this. I mean, I know wearing sunscreen is important, but I don't need to be completely drenched in it.

Billboard Girl, I was on St. Maarten quite a few years ago. We actually booked one of the shore excursions to a beach. When we arrived at the beach, there was a sign stating "clothing optional." Heh. Considering I was only nine at the time, my parents freaked a bit, but we ended up going on the beach regardless. I hope you're enjoying your time! What cruise line is your cruise with?
Also, below is a link to LiveJournal post someone made with a link to a video of "What You Own" with Adam and Daphne that I hadn't seen before. Just thought some of you might be interested. :) And yes, I was the freak who asked if Adam and Daphne were an item during the early years of Rent -- is that true? I think I read it on the IMDB boards and now I'm just curious.

what community is that link from? If you click on the link, you have to log in so then you lose the link. And yes, I believe Adam and Daphne dated at one point.

"wow, Adam and Daphne dated?"
I honestly don't know and I don't want to start a rumor if it's not true (even if the rumor is completely harmless and ten years old).
I just thought it was cool that they supposedly dated and all but still seemingly got along really well. Not that exs being on good terms is a huge aberration, but if my past relationships are of any indication... heh.
hehe that's kinda amusing. But now they both have families. Not sure how I feel about the 2 of them singing that song... maybe it's just because I'm used to the guys singing it but something feels off.
In happy news, my father was buying something on Amazon that was like 16 bucks and he came down to say "anyone need something from amazon for 10 bucks or so so I can get free shipping?" Needless to say, my Civilian CD will be here soon :)
Oh how much do I love the tight, sparkly pants and the flaming shirt? A lot. I also love the way Adam comes off through his stance and body expression. He's like "I'm the ****". Which of course, he is, so it's ok.
And yay for your Civilian to be on its way. I want to open mine tonight for Hannukah but I have 2 cds, so there's no way for me to know which is which.

Ack, again, I'm not sure if they did! I think some people on here are more anti-rumor/gossip than I am and while I don't care too much, I don't want to be responsible for starting a rumor, however harmless it may be. Fantabulous, I know you said that you think they did... can anyone else confirm/deny?
ANYWAY, heh, I think Daphne sounded horrible. I like her Mimi a lot (more than Rosario's performance), but her voice just didn't sound very pleasing. It might just be the song or it might just be that I actually am not a huge fan of her voice in and of itself -- I like it for the part of Mimi because I think it fits it well, but otherwise, I could live without her voice. JMO.
And Fantabulous, I agree about the shirt and the pants! Awww at the gay moment of the sparkly pants.
