I know. I used to compulsively check all of the different sites, just hoping for something. I've never been that excited for anything before.
Em, you always make me depressed when you talk about it being over.
I'm sorry!
I have a whole list of Chatterbox videos I really want to see, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
This is exciting. We have a new TV appearance! Hopefully it will be uploaded so we can all see it.
It's very strange that it's all over, but the DVD will include new footage and the deleted scenes so there's still new stuff to see. I can't wait for Goodbye Love. And maybe they'll be promotion around the DVD. Maybe just a little?
All the Rent threads are gone from the main board which is both relieving and sad.
Aside from RENT being one of the 20 worst movie or something. *kicks thread*
I know this is the Adam thread, but I'm hoping Anthony will do some promoting for his book. :)
I've seen people go on shows just promoting the release of DVD's though, so you never know. Maybe on like...Conan or Jimmy Kimmel or something.
Group hug!
I can't believe it's been over a year, you know?

I'm a little glad it's over. It was getting sort of monotonous for me, but I hope you all can find something to fill the void.
Yes, there is also a sense of relief, in that we no longer have to deal with the nastier reviews and reactions, or worry about missing something.
I'm also looking forward to the deleted scenes a lot. I hope they're really generous with those. The bloopers should be a lot of fun too, just to see the laughs and cameraderie.
Yea, it's really strange to think we've been following this for a whole year! A week or two ago, I looked at the pictures from your set visit (they're in your e-mail) and that made me happy. I was remembering the anticipation and then waiting to read about how it went.
Anthony is already scheduled for a singing at Barnes and Noble (possibly two). February 2something. Yay!
The sex scene, no matter how short, needs to be on that DVD.
I think it's the 21st, Alix. The one in Chelsea. But there should be a few more, I'd think.
These few days that I've been having it so rough with my family, I've had a lot of time to just spend laying around; and one of the things I'd do, letting my mind wander, was sort of replay in my head some of the moments that happened at the... sort of climax of the release drama; those were some of the things that best made me smile. It's weird how vivid those memories are; that I can remember so much about seeing it for the first time -- and that HUGE sense of relief that I felt with the passage of every scene. It's like a permanent uncurling of the toes, or something.
Yeah, I know what you all mean. to have the experience of following a movie from its announcement and cast to see the finished project...to hear the updates, blog updates, see the trailers, visit the set...it's just been an amazing journey. I don't think it's a question as no movie will be as good or perhaps even enjoyable or anything, just no other movie will mean as much to me. The fact that everyone showed such interest in the fans and listened to some of their advice...it just was a really special year.
I remember that night, waiting for Emcee to come back and post. That was pretty crazy.
Nia, I know you had a lot of mixed feelings about the movie, and one thing I'm kind of glad of is that Adam didn't end up getting a lot of attention from it. My gut feeling now is that kind of media glare would drive him crazy. His current level of fame is at a level he can deal with, but a lot more might be detrimental.
There was a quote from him somewhere about the original Rent production and its aftermath. It was something like "I F*CKing complained when I was getting all the attention, and then I F*CKing complained when I wasn't."

Wait, was the sex scene even shot?
I'll be the dumb newbie and admit that I didn't closely follow the making of the move... I was excited for it, and I did like Rent, but the movie really revitalized my love for the show and brought it to a new level. I'm sad it's "over," too, but I can't pretend I was into it as much as everyone else here was from the start.
Ahh! This is getting me so sad.

But Chloe, if people paid him a little more attention, he might actually be cast in something.
hehe ... I can't WAIT for bloopers! On one hand that seems mean, like, oh boy I can't wait to see where they screwed up, but I bet that it was just FUN.
And I want to start a campaign to get a hold of the script or video from all that Access Hollywood stuff that was NOT on in that 60 second clip.
I hope that they do a little singing for the DVD. I was thinking maybe it'd come out closer to the 10th anniv and they'd mention both.
Hmm...last year I saved for a year and spent $1000 on a all inclusive trip to Mexico. I shoulda saved it for the reunion concert! Maybe BCEFA will do a DVD or something. That'd be awesome.
Wait, what show is Anthony on tonight?
I miss the anticipation, and the excitement, but I can't say I miss wasting all that time reading stuff and watching stuff. (Not that I was "wasting" it, per se, but, you know...)

JL, a vacation would probably be better.
re: the whole magical experience thing.
I never really felt any of that, so in a selfish way, I'm sort of glad it's over so I don't have to F*CKing hear about it anymore.
I'm in a SH*Tty mood. People can be quite irksome.

Irksome is a cool word.
hah. At least he knows he's a complainer.
Siamese, a friend of mine randomly emailed Mackenzie Firgens, and she said something about a cut sex scene, but it wasn't totally clear as to whether it was shot and cut or cut from the script.
Elphie, Anthony is going to be on the "isaac" show on Style Network. The show is on right now but it's the first guest and he's not for a bit into the show from what I have heard.

Em... sorry, you told me that before! Thanks for the clarification, though.
And insomniak, cheer up! :)
Thanks, JL. *sigh* I don't get that channel. Oh, well.
I'm taping and I think a few others are too. Hopefully in a little bit it'll be up.
*hugs nia*
I wonder if Adam will start trying to promote Civilian again, if it's too late, or what.

He already tried to promote it and it honestly probably won't do any better the second time around.
I keep waiting to see what he'll do, but no dice.
