Seriously, what kind of person thinks that something like that is funny?

Wow. Some people are just too stupid/twisted to be allowed to use the Internet.

Jesus Christ, that's awful. What are people thinking? He could have friends and family looking at that board, or if they were a little older, even his kids.

I was going for death by dehydration earlier, but my tear ducts just aren't active enough. They did do some damage, though.

Wow, now I feel bad for even bringing up this one person's stupid decision. I freaked out for a second until I realized that it HAD to be a joke.

I used to frequent LJ for... footwear.

I don't go there much anymore, other than to pilfer icons on rare occasion.

I just came back - and what did I return to but the stupidity and immaturity of LJ? Seriously, I hope all the weird/depressing stuff that seems to be travelling throughout this thread ends soon.

The only thing that makes LJ worth looking at is the occasional opportunity to right-click-save-as, if you get my drift (and I think you do).

It's okay, siamese. Someone else could have seen it and spread it around as fact, which would have been far worse.

Emcee re: Wisdom teeth. Did you have braces? If so, you REALLY should have them removed, because they screw up everything and that's thousands of dollars down the toilet. I was terrified, but my dentist, orthodontist and oral surgeon all agreed that they should come out, so I took their advice even over my own severe panic. And the painkillers are tons of fun 5...4...3...Open Sesame!

Chloe, I'm so sorry about your cat. My cousins went through a similar experience with their beagle in October, where she suddenly got sick and they had to put her to sleep. I hope you're doing better.

Not only did I have the Rent New Years stuck in my head, this crazy Latvian decided we were going HAVE a Rent New Years. Four of us dressed up as the 7 main characters minus Benny, took pictures that resembled Rent-ish poses, went to the actual Life Cafe for dinner, got an equivilant of cheap champagne (the liquor store was closed) and popped open the bottles while watching the ball drop on TV. It was hilarious, mainly because we knew how ridiculous it was, but it was just tons of fun.

Thanks skittles. I am feeling better now, except every once in a while when I see her medicine or go downstairs and forget she won't be in her usual box. Your New Year's sounds like fun, actually.

Yep, I had braces for almost four years, which is why I *want* to have them removed. I mean, I don't want an operation any more than the next person, but I don't want to allow the orthodontics to mess up.

Should I be worried? I just went to the dentist this week and they never mentioned anything about my wisdom teeth.

Skittles, I hear ya on the wisdom teeth. I was told by my orthodontist when I was 16 that I would have to get them taken out because they would push my other teeth around, and no way was I going to let all those years of headgear and braces and retainers go to waste (I'd been going to the orthodontist since I was 8 ).

Em, the sooner you can get them taken out, the better. There's always the risk of them becoming infected, and the longer they're allowed to grow, the more difficult they are to remove. You should look into whether the surgeon would use general anesthesia or just novocaine for the procedure; I know that for me the fact that I was awake during it made me feel more comfortable.

Fantabulous, I don't think you should be worried. My dentist never mentioned to me that mine had to come out; it was my orthodontist who said that I needed to get them taken care of (because otherwise all the work he had done would have been for nothing).

Yup. There was a Roger/Mark (angelic1), a Mimi/Maureen, a Collins/Joanne (zippyjen) and I was Angel. And yes, there was an argument between Roger and Mark. 5...4...3...Open Sesame!

That sounds like so much fun!

Okay, wisdom teeth. I don't think I have them. Is that a problem? I had braces for five years, and I have a retainer and I'm going to need a bridge/implant/bone grafting, so I don't want any problems.
