Ooh one more quick note, I always try to get the audience more into it than they already are no matter their level...the night was a really good audience I thought, better than one I've been w/ for a while. Lots of laughs and enthusiasm. Got a teeny bit of applause going for Norbert rolling on the floor, not as much as I would have liked but what was awesome is when Greg and Joanna first appeared in the robes I heard very miniscule golf claps so again I clapped really loud and that got the whole audience to applaud that part, and knowing I got them there, after Greg's line on the balcony, started the applause again and again, huge applause, that hasn't happened for a while. Greg said to me after that was a great response he got today for that and I said of course, I spurred on applause lol. But yaay for a wonderful audience, at curtain call when I of course stood right away, there was another woman standing for me and even when the ensemble bowed, ppl cheered very loudly, I was so happy.
It weas a great night in the end, marred greatly though by Patronus' injury. He planned his whole trip on seeing DRS so I hope he goes back.
going to change my avatar. get ready for it!
like it?
I've already told Cat and Kerrie, but anyway, this is exciting! This happened to me today after Harry Potter:
Ok, so as I was leaving Harry Potter and there were two girls dressed up to see it after my showing. So I was leaving and all of a sudden some girl gasps and like hits her friend and her mom and was like "mom it's her! it's her! She was in the movie!" and they all started pointing at me and waving and seriously like bugging out and the entire time I was thinking 'er...who am i supposed to be?' So I put on my, "Yes, it is I! Applaud for me!" face and just waved and smiled and left the theater.
T'was exciting!

Wow, that is pretty amazing.
I changed my avatar. To something not Greg related! Scary, I know.. but I felt it was appropriate as the Rent countdown comes to a close.
(I made it, too! LJ icon. Made them for all the characters.)
My avatars are never Jbara related and I've yet to be eviscerated...they may all just be too scared of my santa to yell though...
And very nice avatar...hmm prob should ahve started out with that part...
It took me a while but I finally garnered the strength to change my aim icon from Gerry promoting Phantom movie to Adam promoting Rent movie. Had to. I obviously adore Adam but the strength it takes to replace Gerry...I of course cannot do that here.
Hehehehehhe my icons are all on display now..
cool.
and liz, that sounds awesome!

oh man! the three of you have all similar icons! how confusing!! i think i'll stick with my andrew one, though.
Cat, you are the one that loves Hugh Laurie right? cause there is a picture of him in the People magazine, as 2005 Sexy Doctor guy. you should check it out.

I was actually the one who made all these icons!
Pffft, Yeah right Liz, and I'm Spartacus...*adjusts gladiator belt*
Hugh Laurie!!...I believe there are a couple house fans on the thread!!...I actually have that people magazine already waiting on my nightstand for me...

What Cat, you don't dig the whole Texas thing Matt's got going? LOL
And um, I forget who posted it, but did it ever get figured out which Harry Potter you supposedly were?
Oh Amanda, we have a MAJOR problem. This was just posted today:
Jonathan Pryce, John Lithgow's castmate in Broadway's Comedians, will assume the Lithgow-created musical role of Lawrence Jameson in the Tony Award-nominated Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Jan. 17, 2006. His partner in crime will be Norbert Leo Butz, a Tony winner for his turn as rough-hewn Freddy, who spars and competes with Lawrence. Butz recently extended his contract to July 2006. Lithgow, Tony nominated for the musical, exits the Imperial Theatre Jan. 15.
What are we going to do with the Jan 8th tickets? Is there any way we can change them for the following week?
They clearly thought she was Hagrid...
In the words of Freddy: damnit damnit damnit!!
Both bway.com and playbill.com report John lithgow's last day is the 15th not the 8th. With 2 sources officially reporting it, it's gotta be the case. Did a lot of thinking and I can't give up my second row seats b/c a) the discount no longer applies for such close seats, the closest I could sit would be row P so I could only get these seats ever again for about $120, b) the discount doesn't apply at all for the 15th.
Thought about it and decided to keep those tickets, and stick to the plan of either taking my sis who never saw the show or my mom who will appreciate sitting so close and my "interactive" viewing of the show.
Finally decided to get the $41 ticket to Lithgow's last show. Dead center in the closest in the rear mezz I could get for that price. Being alone, maybe I'll keep an eye out to try to move during intermission. Would have enjoyed being close, but I suppose it's enough to be there.
But made a deal w/ myself and my mom. No DRS until the 8th, since I'm going the 8th, 15th, and 31st(perhaps Sherie's last, front row mezz regardless where I'd love to sit) of January. Nearly a month and a half w/o viewing the show. I hope I don't go into withdrawal...
Me? Crazy? Where would you get a silly idea like that?
poor Ryan and Amanda. luckily, I'll hopefully be able to buy tickets for Jan 15 when I go into the city soon and see his last performance.
Sounds like a plan. My mother and my cousin still want to go so we are keeping the tickets. However, I will indeed be buying one for the 15th. I may go for a close seat but where are you in the rear mezz? Maybe I can get a ticket next to you?
