Grasan is now in The Color Purple. Dennis Stowe replaced him in DRS.

I saw that last night. For not being huge production, it was very good. I don't know, it's like that story is one that's told over and over, and you see so many movie versions of it...well the stage version just seemed rather simple. There was so much talent in the cast, though. Had I not been so tired, I would've stayed and met Cathy. Seeing all those people pour out of the theatre, actually made me feel bad for not staying. I'm all about showing love for performers.

I was sitting between the most obnoxious men! To my right I had a guy in his 50's. He threw trash in the floor and crunched on ice. To my left was one just a tad younger, who made these annoying like gasping sounds and murmered comments everytime Cathy did a flip or something. Dude she's a frigging medal winning gymnast, chill! Not to mention him repeatedly taking off his jacket and putting it back on. ugh. speaking of the one who littered, i looked at the floor when i was walking up to go out, and i was just blown away and ashamed at all the trash people left. low class people, i tell ya.

My theater group is putting on that show this summer.

Haven't decided which part to go out for yet.

haha. i do agree with you there. that was the first time i've experienced it as a musical, and well, most of the songs made me cringe. but the dancing totally made up for it. and the indians and pirates were quite yummy, so that helped too.

and i know the whole baseball team as you all know..
so i was watching the game online (they are in myrtle beach) and they won!! and now they get to come home! lol i missed my boys.

i was supposed to play an indian but we decided to change it to "neverlander" because indian was just so racist. but then the rights were too expensive because of the tour, so we did bugsy malone, instead.

the dancing is marvelous though, i agree.

People told me horrible stuff about Seussical, but that was the funnest show I've ever done, so I've stopped doubting our director's choice of musical.

comparing seussical the musical to peter pan the musical is like comparing oranges to apples...if the apple starts off good but eventually rots and browns and has icky worms growing out of it.

peter pan is by far my favorite story of all time. i love the original book more than any book ever. i've loved it since i was two years old. i love the disney version though it's got NOTHING on the book....but the musical? uck. unless you do a lot of overhauling...

oh.
and chuck norris can win connect four in three moves.
