I loved everyone's reaction last night when Angela was named one of the project leaders. "I hope she doesn't pick me!"
There was nothing as priceless as the plainly unconcealed look of shock and near-horror on Michael's face when it was announced...and he was STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HER.
But then....cut to several scenes later...
He's picking her up in the fabric store and she's wrapping her legs around him.
Cut to the sidewalk in front of Macy's...
Oh, look. It's Angela's thighs around Michael's waist again.
Hrmm.
I actually kind of like Angela - she is kooky, and I am not sure I would ever wear her clothes - but of the team leads, she was the only one to actually listen to the recommendations of her fellow designers, and she actually picked people who would help her and provide strengths she does not have.
I don't think she will win, but she did have a good vision, and was able to work with a team to actually realize it.
Granted, I am not fashonista or anything, but I just liked the fact that she actually used the team to make her design better.
Tattoo boy needs to go - he is an absolute ass.

I just wanna say that Angela deserved that win last night. My only complain about her is that she uses those rosettes on everything. She just needs to tone those down. Last night they were fine (thank you laura and michael) but i think she needs to stop using them on every single outfit. But I am soo glad she finally won! Its about time!
With the exception of the rosettes, Angela has an eye for detail (take the linings in the jackets of the last two outfits she has made).

Exactly! I dont think ppl give her enough credit for everything that she is great at. The lining was amazing and it was a great print for it. I think that that was what the judges felt set her outfit above "Keith's" outfit. She really does pay attention to detail and everything she makes is made very well. I really think she could go far in this competition. I even think its possible that she could win if does stuff like last night, its just unlikely, ha ha.
She does have an eye for detail, but my concern is, as has been expressed, her taste level and concept of what is fashionable.
I don't know if they get Vogue magazine out there on the commune... :-P
As much as Keith's outfit excited the judges, there was no way it was going to win (too much controversy).
Tim's podcast is up (I'm listening to it now).

I don't hate Jeff at all (Tattoo Boy) I kinda like his designs. I was excited when I found out it would just be he and Alison working on Keith's design because the two of them would probably capture my exact taste, trendy and fashionable meets a little out there and funky. I was really hoping Michael would be a team leader because he REALLY deserves the screen time... If Robert goes home next week I WILL cry. There's no way Angela could've won without Laura and Michael, however. She's the Santino of this season, without the style. He liked to add fabric, that was crazy but still didn't look awful, she likes those goddam rosettes.
Jaily, I agree... we haven't seen all of Kayne's evilness yet...
Just finished listening to Tim's podcast. It was great and so informative. It filled in a lot of the blanks from last night's episode.
Do you want to share with the rest of us?
oops. Updated On: 8/3/06 at 11:55 AM
Angela's this season's Santino??? Although some people may not like Santino's style (like most don't like Angela's), the man could sew. Angela can't sew...in fact, (from the previews) it appears as though she break a machine. Isn't sewing a huge part of this competition?
Sooo glad Robert stayed...I adore him!!!
Fiction Writer, the podcast is 35 minutes long, too much to share. He went into detail about the Keith incident. He also got a chuckle out of Angela being chosen as a project lead. Just go to the Project Runway website, the podcast is available there.
I was so afraid Robert was going to be eliminated last night.
I believe Angela does sew, just not on commercial grade machines. They are very different.
Michael and Laura saved Angela from herself tonight. Rosettes?! Laura's glamour and streamlined elegance, Michael's modern, hip slant, all over the place. Angela was nowhere in that outfit. Did you buy the whole empire state building thing? Jubilee Jumbles, anyone?
Who loves Laura's foul mouth as much as I do? (re: the ROSETTES-- "Angela's in the next room making her Grandmother." HA!)
But Kayne--dead to me. If you're going to be a bitch, own it. Don't pretend like you're sad ten minutes later.
"Maybe Bonnie doesn't like me because of my beard."
Maybe Bonnie sees how dithering and brain dead you are. That was funny.
and... Michael gets some attention-- AT LAST!!!
I was very disappointed that Angela's design won... first of all, the majority of her design was re-created by Laura and Michael, and without them the piece would be very very different... if you look on the Macy's website the re-creation of that outfit is HIDEOUS... and the pants on the runway looked horrible on the model... all in all it was pretty boring (but that's what you get when you pick Laura)
personally, i thought Allison and Jeffery's work was MUCH MUCH better... definitely more stylish and definitely more designed... but as someone said earlier, there was no way that a Keith design could win this challenge...
I forget if it was Heidi or Nina who described some designs as flat and boring... but if they think that, i have no idea why they would choose the INC label at Macys... if they want creative design, that is not the label to choose (look at the colors of the winning piece, and of all the garments for that matter... neutrals)
After this episode, i defintely can't stand Kayne... what a rat! Jailyard Guy is right, we are definitely going to be seeing some EVIL from him, especially because of his pageant background
sorry this post is so long... ahahah, but i'm sad to see Keith go, i think he was very talented... my favorites of this season are still
Michael, Jeffery and Allison
Kayne might have won the evening gown challenge, but for some reason I don't see him being one of the finalists.
I have a little crush on Bradley, even though he reminds me of Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
He's got a sweetness about him.
"He's got a sweetness about him"
If by "sweetness" you mean "ever-so-slight-case of mental retardation and/or hysterically advanced marijuana burnout" then yes, he is the sweetest boy EVER.
Maybe I like that in a boy! :)
There's a difference between evening gown and the crap they put on southern pageant girls.
Wasn't Bonnie's outfit the cowl neck thing? I remember either the Macy's guy or Timmy say that it was really great in the sketching stage. hmmmm
anyway, I thought Bonnie deserved to go.
Robert was my early favorite, I hope he gets better.
I wonder if tattoo neck got those tattoos because he saw early on that his neck was wide and that black was slenderizing? LOL. No, it isn't working that way-the tattoos make his neck much more noticeable. That's all I can look at when he's on camera.
Jane2, on Tim's podcast, he said Bonnie's original sketch and final outfit were very different.
I'm having a hard time keeping these guys straight. Which one's Bradely?
I thought Robert was lookin' pretty hot in the tank top.
