And you see, those comments get Vincent air time. I just don't get him. As far as I'm concerned, he's out of his league on this show.
" have really lost faith in this show. I don't watch the show because of Vincent's "entertainment" value. I watch because I love seeing what these talented designers come up with. As much as I don't like Jeffrey, his dress should have one last night. Especially since the judges said his was the most wearable. He is somewhat bitter though. What a shame that Angela put crap out there early on, and she was saved each and every time. Alison consistently made wonderful outfits and she's auf'd for one faux pas. Give me a break!!"
And that's what's frustrating about watching any of the "reality" shows. We want them to reflect reality, but they don't. It's show business.
That's right, Jane 2, burst my bubble!! (LOL)
I know, but I still enjoy watching them, for the entertainment value. I gave up on the reality aspect!
Everything about Vincent makes me uncomfortable. Not in a fun to watch way. In an "I wouldn't leave you alone with children" way.
Vincent should have left. But I was not so attached to Alison. She knew the dress was a problem, and made a hair bow to draw away attention. Nice try. I'm only sad now because I think I was close to figuring out who it is she sounds like (I can't quite place the accent/phrasing...)
I really expected Alison to be in the top 3. That's what makes it so disappointing. I also liked Uli's dress more than Michael's.
Just goes to show you what I know. When I saw Michael's dress, I thought uh-oh, what a mess, he has really screwed up now! Then he goes and wins.

ok so i started watching last nights episode again and i remembered how much laura cracked me up!
first of all her attempt at beat boxing with michael was HALARIOUS!!!!! and then when she was talking about vincent:
"I think the guy is completely whack. He's gonna crack at any day now. He's not mentally stable. (long pause). He's wierd!"
omg, shes soo funny. shes mean but it was halarious. I love her comments!
Jane, I thought the same thing. I didn't think he'd be eliminated, but I never would have guessed that he would win the challenge!

As much as I can't stand Jeffrey, I thought his was the best last night - although, he irks me. When commenting on Laura's design "ugh another high-waisted dress..." I couldn't recall Laura having made a high waisted dress in the past. But I believe Jeffrey has! He's such an idiiot.
I liked Michael's second best, actually. Michael, Jeffrey and Laura would have been top three for me. Laura - very simple, but oh the construction and the fit! She has A LOT going for her in that realm.
I was shocked about Alison. It definitely should have been Vincent. They guy is a talentless freak. And everything he makes looks like it is straight from the 80s.
In terms of the Laura/Vincent tiff, I agree it was likely edited. What I think probably went down was that Laura seemed surprised when she found out Vincent was in, and perhaps Vincent made a comment and it started...but I say good for her for telling it like it is. She's up front, no bulls*&t, what you see is what you get. She doesn't sugarcoat things like Miss Kayne and Robert. I totally like her.
Next week - I thought perhaps Martha as well. At first I thought Oprah, but then I realized "wrong network!" It also could be Kelly Ripa - as she's on the air "every day."

Vincent just needs to leave, he really bugs me. I have not liked one thing he has designed.
I dont want to watch this show anymore after last night (of course, I'll get over it)...I am that upset by Alison's departure. She and Michael are the most exciting designers of the bunch, imo, expecially after her Farrah dress last week. Vincent is a pain in the a, who seriously needs to get back on his meds. I feel manipulated since they are keeping the crazy designer over the talented one.
I loved Laura's dress, but twice she was snarky, and I think she showed only the tip of her aholishness last nite. Who does she think she is? I didnt like Robert and Kayne's nasty comments either (notice how it was all Robert, Kayne only giggled.) but, WHO ASKED YOU, Laura? STFU indeed!
Bye, Alison...I'm sad I wont see the cool stuff you'd have designed. I'll have to root for Michael now.
Doodle, if you get a chance, listen to Tim's podcast. Apparently Laura wasn't the only person to make comments about Vincent, hers just happened to get edited into the broadcast.
I love Tim's podcasts. Even he was shocked that Alison got eliminated.
AHH Tim liked Alison's outfit. Her outfit wasn't bad, she just made one mistake.
Eh Vincent has made tons of mistakes. This is errr.
But I am loving Tim's podcast.
Is Tim's podcast up? According to iTunes it's not up yet...where did you get it?
Tim's podcast is up at the Project Runway website. For some reason, I can't get Alison's exit interview to play though
Sorry Dottie, did they only edit her telling Kayne that she "questions his choices" (or whatever) because it didnt look like it. Maybe they are trying to portray her badly with editing, but they didnt put words in her mouth. For all the speculation of Kayne being bitchiness coming out, hers has been more nasty. You're doing okay in the competition, the judges like what you're doing, so shut the f up!
Has anyone had another actor give them notes? It's just so inappropriate.
Doodle, yes you have a point about that. I thought you were referring to the argument with Vincent at the end. Yes, I agree, she's very condesending when she really doesn't have to be. She's very talented, and she should just let her work speak for itself. As talented as Michael is, it's nice that he keeps everything to himself. Alison was the same way.
That's exactly what I meant...I love the drama sometimes of the personalities, but that's just stupid gameplay or aholishness.
Kayne and Robert were just doing what just about everyone does...making fun of someone they dislike...and now I know why they dislike her.
I never saw Wendy Pepper act like that.
BTW, I think it is their moms or someone close to them that they design for next week.

Alison was also one of my choices to be possibly in the top 3. Vincent should have left during the Miss Universe challenge.
I was so sad when Alison left....but it's TV. I was glad to see Robert not be in the bottom three again. After Malan left, he's been my favorite!!!! Loving the drama though...
I think next week's shhow will feature Martha. I can't imagine what she'll make the designers do...should be fun!!!
I think it's crap that Robert puts out 2 pieces of s#@T and gets kept because the judges have faith in his talent, and Allison goes home for one mis-step. Total crap.
Oh, that, and I am in LOVE with KAYNE!!!!!!!!!
"I think it's crap that Robert puts out 2 pieces of s#@T and gets kept because the judges have faith in his talent, and Allison goes home for one mis-step. Total crap."
- I so agree with you, this is why I am so mad.
She could have won or been in the top 3.
So I am guessing they have more faith in Vincent than Alison. Which is really, really stupid.
Plus, I kept waiting for Allison to say "my dress doesn't make her look fat-SHE IS FAT AND HAS NO WAIST." One thing Allison did show is that she has class. She kept her mouth shut to spare that model. Her outfit would have looked much better if the waist did come in.
VINCENT IS MENTALLY ILL. I guess that gets ratings.
What's ironic is that sans model, Tim thought that Alison actually had a chance to win with that dress.
