While we're on the subject of Vincent's model last night, she seemed a bit portly to me. I did detect thunder thighs on the runway which is odd considering how much I complain that the models don't look healthy in person. It's just that she seemed to really standout on the runway when all designers & models were assembled, and not in the most flattering way. Vincent's dress was designed to fit Jia not that I'm making excuses for him. His design in itself lacked "umph" and the wrap looked liked it was thrown together after-the-fact. Despite my gripes this season about the judges being all over the place, they tend to pick up on the apparent strenghts & weaknesses of the designers in each challenge.
"the wrap looked liked it was thrown together after-the-fact"
It WAS thrown together after the fact. He bought WAY too much fabric (he says they "gave" him too much...please, snatch. Fabric stores do not GIVE anyone an additional half yard of fabric, you tool), so at the last minute, he decided to make a shawl out of it.
He might as well have made a noose with it...

LOL. The best, though, was Angela saying she put a little bit in the handbag, which we maybe expected her to use as a lining. But what does she do? You open the bag and find she stuffed about a half a yard INTO the purse.
Garland Grrl, I'm still chuckling over your phonetic response. Too, too funny.
Again, did you notice inconsistency with the judging. Heidi mentioned in her dialog that Kayne only completed half the challenge because the majority of his dress was black. Yet, when Keith did not design an outfit for the dog in that particular challenge, she mentioned the same thing, yet, he was kept. I really wanted Jeffrey to be eliminated last night.
I, too, am curious to see what Alison would have come up with.
heidi speak is not quite as fun as liza speak.

Has anyone listened to Tim's podcast yet? That's been my Thursday morning ritual, but for some reason that link won't open for me.

Jesus Jaily! That is horrible!
I am a little miffed with Miss Kayne myself. That "Hetero" remark was totally uncalled for. It has nothing to do with the talent needed to succeed - and he was really off base. Especially when he said what he did to Laura about worrying about her character. Now he has opened his own character up - and at the end too. Sad.
I loved Laura's, Michael was second for me - Uli's was nice - but I actually thought that her dress would have been perfect for Twiggy had she done it during the Icon challenge. Kayne's was just bad, and Jeffrey - WTF?! It was like Sluts of the Pirates of the Carribean!
By the by - if you did not know yet, Klum is on the View this morning - I am Tivoing it as I am at work.
I can't seem to update & open it either. Hopefully it has nothing to do with the fact that I haven't upgraded to the latest version of the itunes software. I hate software upgrades because the new features are usually unwieldly or unwelcome.

LOL!.
the bravo site is FERCOCKT today.
Did I miss something? What's this about Kayne saying something about being hetero? Who said something about Michael being gay? Was I watching the wrong channel?
Thanks, sounds like it's a site problem as I never had problems with the podcast before. Ironically, I was able to watch Kayne's exit interview (he came off just a little drunk on there).
JYG, where did you get the details of Gia's accident?

Kayne made a snide comment about "letting the two hetero's" back into the game. (as opposed to Robert I imagine). I was shocked when I heard it - and thought maybe I heard it wrong, then I rewound it and sure enough - it was exactly what he said.
Upon 2nd viewing, at least the only way Angela or Vincent would have been kept is if they won this challenge. Angela is an absolute mess. It gets me that Alison was elimated before she was. Talk about injustice.

Yes - but if anyone has the right to go postal, I think it's Angela. Especially after having to suffer the humiliation of getting back on the plane from Paris, and then having been called back - to get slapped down again, (although totally deserving).
My first thought when Angela got eliminated in Paris is wondering if she had to fly back in coach (as opposed to the trip out there in first class). That really would have been the icing on the cake!

The way she was dressed - I would have put her in baggage! lol.
I wonder what the real purpose was in bringing those two back. I'm convinced that they (the producers) didn't think they had a chance of winning. The cynical side of me (the large side) thinks they wanted them to crash and burn a second time. Otherwise, what was the purpose?
Also, it was a way of playing mind games with the remaining designers. Like they don't have enough to worry about!
Cheezedoodle, I like your option better.

I thought that too Jane - if they really wanted a "contender" to return, they would have brought back Allison. I think it was a stunt.
Poor Jia. And only 18!
Jia Gets Thrown Under The Bus
I think it boiled down to $$$. The producers needed a cheap challenge to offset the cost of shipping men/women & materials to Paris. Each designer had a budget of only $100 and there was no A-list celebrity judge to weigh in on last night's challenge. That Paris excursion had to be a budget-buster. Otherwise, it was stunt and a lame one at that.
Cheezedoodle, as much as she should have, I don't think Alison won any of the individual challenges though. Heidi made a point last night that both Angela and Vincent had.
