I HATED Laura's... i didn't even think that it fit... i didn't particularly like anyone's for this challenge, but I thought that Michael was the best... honestly, I though everybody failed this challenge... I actually really liked Vincent's and wish we could have seen it on Jia...i hope she is okay...

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

I supposed you liked Jeffery's Whore-A-Palooza dress tonight?

Laura hit it out of the park tonight. She took the the (pretty rough) criticism she got, and showed the judges she's listening, and wants to be there.

Michael is the most consistent designer in the competetion. Except for the couture challenge, he has shown well for every runway.

While I liked Uli's dress tonight, what the judges said about her was correct.

The Neck is on thin ice. Bitch better bring it next week cause he's slackin' (and really didn't deserve to wint he previous 2 challenges).

finally

Ding Dong the Queen is Gone. But Kayne did go out with class, which more than we will be able to say for Jeffery when his ass gets the boot next wednesday.
when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

You just know if Kayne had shown Jeffrey's so-called cocktail dress, the judges would have said that she looked like a prostitute. I thought the front of Kayne's dress was beautiful. I liked Michaels, and I'm absolutely ecstatic that Laura won this challenge!

I think the surprise sprung on the designers next week is that no one gets eliminated and they all get to show at fashion week (especially since in prior seasons 4 people have shown, so no one knows exactly who the 3 finalists were).

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

AT first it looked like Laura was going to create another matron dress by the fabric she selected, but the style was youthful so she pulled it off. That was her best creation so far, but I still don't think she should be the winner.

Sorry to see Kayne go because I like him as a person but I have to admit, he's limited in his design capacity.

The neck's creation was good but definitely not a cocktail dress. I can see him as a designer for the happening generation.

Maybe Michael will win-he seems to be the most verstatile one of the bunch.

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

Hi, Jane2. I'm happy that Laura won because of the dejection she felt from the previous week's episode. Michael's dress was stunning, especially when the model first appeared on the runway.

If we have to narrow it to three, I'm going with Laura, Michael and unfortunately Jeffrey. The judges seem to prefer him over Uli, who just seems very "one note" to me (and them as well). I did not care for her dress at all last night.

So glad to see both Angela and Vincent get the boot once again.

Jane2, you are confusing me...where have your flowers gone? re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

Yay Laura! The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the matchy-matchy bag. But they had to use all of the fabric, so it was understandable.

Good job Michael.

Zac Posen is cute.

The front of Kayne's was really nice. The back was trashy. I would still rather see him there than Jeff! Ugh. His creation was hideous. The stripes? Was he dressing the Hamburglar's wife? It was so f--king ugly.

Goodbye Angela and Vincent. Again. Your inclusion was completely pointless.

Didn't you just love Vincen't little speech? "No one does what I do. It's a gift."

"Jane2, you are confusing me...where have your flowers gone?"

I had to take a brief hiatus from the flowers to honor a person who takes my breath away!

Yeah, I noticed how cute Zac was when he first came on the scene-he looks so young.

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

As I predicted, Laura stepped up her game at the most opportune moment. Next week she'll be gunnin' for Uli's arse. The judges have clearly grown weary of Uli's constant recasting of the same-ole-tired-but-beautiful dress. Jeffrey was put on notice finally that his signature Gwen Stefaniesque knock-offs just won't cut it if he hopes to land in the winner's cirle. If Michael can deliver the goods "one-more-gain" he's onto the sudden death finale. Drawing on a tennis analogy, it's on his racquet. Sad to see Kayne go, but it was his time.

Once and for all, Angela & Vincent proved that they were totally outclassed by the other designers. They served up the absolute most dreadful garments in last night's challenge. Watching last night's episode made my blood boil just thinking of what Alison could have dreamed up for the challenge.

Way to go Laura!!! Now, get Uli to step up her game so that "the neck" will be bounced next week, please.

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

I propose that we found a religion based on the wonder that is Mrs. Bennett (Laura, if you're nasty.)

I worship this woman.

(And Jane.)

Poor, poor Kayne...I really do think he is a sweet boy, but he just simply does NOT possess the right kind of taste to truly succeed in fashion on an international level. However, he HAS secured his place as THE pageant/gala gown designer non-pareil, and where he's from, that's just about as good as being Jesus. So, good for him. He will do well in his niche.

Jeffrey...dude, seriously. Can't you just get back on the horse and OD or something? We're SO done with you. Your cocktail dress looked more like a cocks*cking dress.

Uli...*yawn* Stop. Go home. Make a mai tai, and put on one of your damn flowy muu-muus-for-the-21st-century.

Michael, two things. 1: You are not straight. 2: HOT dress...you are always (except last time) spot ON in your construction and your overall look, but that was NOT a cocktail dress, honey. That was a club dress, an event dress, a magazine-photo-shoot dress, but it was a bit too "too" for a cocktail party. Unless it's at Paris Hilton's house.

Not even going to bother with V and A...I just ate.

*I* want to wear Laura's dress. It was GORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGEOUS. Yay Mommy! 'Bout damn time she won.

(And she is SO. FREAKING. BEAUTIFUL.)

(And Jane.}

You're so diplomatic!

I just saw Kayne on tv and he's got a shoe line about to come out and also bridal gowns. Good for him! Vincent was also sitting there and claims to have big money men looking to have him design.

One last remark about Angela-you are not in preschool-take off those little bubble skirts!!!! And little boy t shirts. Is she trying to be the next Betsey Johnson?

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

I'll miss Kayne. He deserved to stay over Jeffrey, imo, but I can't disagree that he is limited.

Jeffrey needs to go, but I am more tired of Ulli. This was her moment to do something different and she wasted it.

I think that Vincent's dress would've looked so much better (tho not as good as Laura's) on his regular model (there was a note at the end of the show that she was in a biking accident and is fine and back to work.) WHY couldnt they find a model who had the same measurements?! It will be interesting to see how they eliminate the models.

The return of V and A was a stupid conceit of the producers, and drops my opinion of this show. I am starting to expect more from Bravo's series. The editing is getting more obvious in the past few weeks. Laura was set up early as the winner this week. I loved her dress, especially on the runway. I dont like her tho. Keep your opinions of the others to yourself. You are not the Mother Superior of the show. She also makes me feel old, since she's younger than me.

I disagree, BR, that Robert would've done much here. He may not have been eliminated, but he has so much less to say than the other designers. No inspiration...even when it is handed to him (Jackie O.)
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

re: The Official Project Runway summer season thread!

And what a biking accident it was. Did you notice that Tim appeared to be barely able to control himself when he said that? Here's why:

Jia Santos was biking to work when she was hit by a BUS. She was then DRAGGED underneath the bus, suffered a skull fracture, and her orbital socket was fractured. (She broke her face.) She was in critical condition for several days, and in intensive care for a month.

She has (mostly) recovered, but it was a VERY serious accident...it's not like she ran into a lamppost and cracked an ankle.

Poor thing! (And yes, it's true, the first thing she said upon regaining consciousness was "Am I still on Project Runway?")
