Austin... I can also imagine him throwing a flawless triple sowcow on the ice.

I was disappointed with Nick's skating outfit last night. He's easily my favorite, but maybe I'm giving him too much credit because I just find him appealing as a person.

It seems like they are losing focus...the stress of the competition is clouding their sensibilities.

This coming from someone who know squat about fashion...so take my comments as you will.

Oh, and have I mentioned that Santino totally disgusts me?

so who do you imagine will be in the final 3?

i think it'll be daniel v. and chloe for sure, maybe nick or zulema (god i hope not santino)!

last season i couldn't fathom wendy in the top 3, should have been austin all the way, and kara saun just bugged me the same way santino bugs me.

dontcha think, from next wks preview that jay is gonna give santino a little bit of a tongue lashing? i hope so, that freak needs to be taken down a peg or two or six.

Concerning the Banana Republic challenge....

for all of those who thought that Santino's design wasn't "Banana Republic" enough, and wasn't appropriate for the challenge...

Okay - so someone needs to tell Santino that as a designer - you NEVER wear a hat twice the size of your head! What the heck was that? Also - I am sooooo stoked that Jay is a judge next week. That will spice up some of the hum drum.

As much as we have grown to hate him, they will keep Santino on the show for a little while longer because he's an interesting character and adds a lot of drama to the show. I'm really excited for Jay next week.

I'm completely addicted.

You know - Heidi gave Santino a challenge this week when she asked "What is it going to take for you to listen to what we are saying to you?". I found that quite interesting.

I love this show, but I am just getting really mad. Its so obvious at this point that Santino is only being kept in by the producers. When Daniel Franko went everyone was like we wish you could have stayed really and it just seemed like they were trying to send him a message and tell him it was beyond their control and now Emmett messes up once and is kicked out while Santino has been over doing it for how many challenges now???? So not right

my favorite was probably Nicks... i don't understand how the color was so "original" for Chloe when basically all she uses is blue and I didn't like Zuleema's at all. I'm a little prejudiced because I can't stand Daniel V's model and she doesn't have the "proper" body type for modeling, so I couldn't judge how his would look compared to all the other designers... I thought Andrae's, Emmett's, and Kara's were all TERRIBLE.... Santino, I thought, put so many dressings on purely to annoy the judges because he knew EXACTLY what they wanted... I think he's really really talented but this 'rebel' act has got to stop.

TheHumanTorch - When they said that Chloe's dress color was original, they meant that that color wasn't used a lot in the figure skating world (which it isn't). Also, i cannot disagree with you more Daniel V.'s model. IMO, she is the best model on the show. There is not one specific body type that is the correct type for modeling. There are models of all shapes and sizes, and, in all honesty, her body type is very similar to many of the other girls.

I feel that although Santino is talentted, if he can't give the client what they want, then no matter who talented he may be, he is a bad designer. The designer's job is to create something that the client wants, and if he can't do that then maybe he is in the wrong field and should be designing dresses as pieces of contemporary art and not for people to where.

But based on performance and what the producers think the people want, i think that there area the people to make it to fashion week:
1 - Santino will make it because the producers want him there for ratings. THe only thing that may keep him out of it is if he pulls something like his excuse for a figure skating costume again
2 - Chloe, although amny people think that she is safe, her designs have been consistantly good and she deserves to make it.
3 - Nick is the other person who has been consistantly good (when he isnt working for Santino).

Other possibilities - Daniel V. and Zulema

daniel v's model isn't quite the ectomorph that many models are. she has a nice, plush behind -- for a model, and daniel likes to show it. i think she's GORGEOUS. my other fave is grace (chloe's model). although she is not the most beautiful, she is FIERCE, a great walker and she worked that reversible jacket like a diva. i think tarah, nick's model is the most lovely --but she moves her arms A LOT when she walks. danyelle, andrea's model-- has the fierce body (check out the lingerie challenge for her killer abs) santino's model, heather is also lovely, but she looks bored when she walks, or maybe she's just embarrassed to be wearing his clothes, who knows. i think zulema snatches nick's model next week. can't blame her, don't like her model much -- but she did consent to walk the bootie dress -- so she deserves some extra combat pay creds.

Mind is Mantra.

I can't say I've been paying too much attention to the models, but I'm happy Zulema's switching models next week. It's sort of boring to have them all work with the same people all the time. Additionally, it'll force them to work a bit harder to change their designs to work for their models.
To add to the guesses for fashion week, I'm hoping Daniel V, Nick, and Chloe. I think Zulema has a shot, and Santino just because of the producers. I think I want Daniel V and Nick just because I'm so in love with them.

I don't know... I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't life Santino. I like his designs... he can be cocky and downright rude but for some reason I hope he doesn't get outted. That being said, his figure skating outfit looked like he stole something from the production of HONK I was in last weekend... I love Daniel V and Nick. They're amazing. Emmett annoyed me so I'm glad he's gone. I hope it's down to Santino, Daniel V and Nick in the end.

Am I cut out to spend my time this way?

Anyway, I'm kinda glad Emmett got booted off. He's been kinda boring. I wish Santino could've got booted off weeks ago, but oh well.

As we get further into the season, the judging definitely gets more complicated--are they being judged solely on the design that's on the runway, or are their past designs and their (now better-known) strengths and weaknesses being taken into account?

In the case of Santino-vs-Emmett, I think Emmet deserved the "boot" based solely on the skating outfits--in the case of two bad designs, I think the benefit goes to the designer who was "too" creative, rather than the design that was completely un-inspired.

Based on their whole career on Runway, it's a tougher call (apart from the Producer's need to keep Santino around). Personally, looking back at Emmett's designs, I would have probably kept Emmett and sent Santino home--Emmett is certainly a safer, more timid designer, but there is, ultimately, more variety and more exploration in the work he did on the show, and--without any doubt--far more thoughtful and considered responses to the individual challenges and clients.

I just wanted to say that I loved Emmett's design. Call me simple, but it was beautiful to me. I also wanted to say that Santino should've been gone a long time ago but unfortunetly we are going to be forced to look at his ugly mug for a while because of the producers. ...I'm not bitter.
