i'm rushing on saturday night - anyone want to go??
if my friends weren't coming into town that night I would so be with you there...I may go on sunday or wednesday...or maybe both
*peeks in*
I love Raul!
Em - love your parents! Mine would have said exactly the same thing!
So far I have tickets for next Wednesday matinee and closing night. I am using a dentist appointment in the city Wednesday morning as a cover.
You're covertly seeing the show, Keen? That's awesome.
Only because my family thinks I'm nuts. And I'm the "older" generation, so even us grownups have to prevaricate.
I have tickets to closing, and I'll rush the rest of the times I go. I'm not sure when, or how many or anything. I'm still trying to process that and plan ahead in terms of financial constraints and other things going on in my life. After Tuesday night's show, I feel like I could wait a few weeks... but I keep telling people it's like stocking up on food; you may not need it right now, but you will in the future. My mom was sort of like "if you go to the last show, please do not spend $110 on it," which she knew I would do everything in my power to avoid anyway, but other than that, when I told her I needed to be there, she did understand. After all of this, I need the closure. If I weren't there, it would never TRULY be over.

Okay you guys, I'm rushing tonight lol.
see you there!
If I tell my parents I want to go at some point next week, they'll think I'm absolutely nuts, and give me one of those "it's your life, but what the hell" looks that I hate.
So, I guess I won't tell them...
how i wish i could get out of work in time!
I'm rushing on Saturday night and also buying my ticket for the final performance then. I want to see it at least two more times before closing, but I'm not sure my wallet will allow.
Reports, everyone! Please?
And do tell your parents where you are. If the worst thing you do is see a Broadway show a gazillion times, they should thank God! It may be incomprehensible but it isn't illegal, dangerous or fattening.

I'm rushing tomorrow (Friday night) with my mom (I know that's lame, but I'm poor...).
I'd give anything to flirt with Raul. He's hot and totally transfixing me with his version of Being Alive right now.
So... do?

Keen, you crack me up!
As always he was incredible tonight and it was the biggest audience I've seen there.
That's great jb! I'm glad they're getting decent sized audiences for the end of the run.
oh and my camera died right as I was going to take a picture with Raul..I was about to cry..
I was channel-surfing right now trying to find something to watch and Find Me Guilty was on. I switched and it just happened to be the beginning of Raul's testimony scene. Great timing.
It's interesting how well he comes across on film considering it was his first time. Didn't many of the reviews single him out as well? That's impressive, considering many actors' talents don't translate well across mediums.
I kind of hope he does a play next, just for a change of pace.

you guys, I'm pretty sure Mary-Mitchell was there tonight. I think I saw her come out the stagedoor with Raul, Barbara, Angel, Fred, and Amy. She fled so quickly that I couldnt catch her - but holy crap! I would have loved to say hi to her and tell her how much I love her musical revisions. oh well.
sorry about your camera, obsessed
The house was pretty full, save the rear mezz. Audience seemed enthusiastic overall - I'm always interested in how responses vary from night to night. Raul's voice sounded a little bit strained; it wasn't too noticeable - he still sang the hell out of Being Alive, Marry Me a Little, and Someone is Waiting. And Kelly is back - yay!
The cast all looked like they were going somewhere after the show tonight - they all seemed to be waiting for each other. So there might be some fun Company party going on right now
I'd love for Raul to do a play next, too.
The odd thing about Find Me Guilty is that I thought the movie was massively under-written except for Raul's scenes. Or maybe he just found something in the script that others didn't (or didn't bother to) find.
I think I'm going to rush on Wednesday, and if there are any more rear mezz seats left when I get paid next week, I'm going to buy one for the closing.

I would go a bit earlier for the rush so you can get a seat up front
