If I was going to be in the country for this I'd be asking my dad for the car right about now.
I CANN'TT GOOOOO!!!! *Pitches baby fit* I have to go out to LA that week and I REALLY WANT TO GOOOO.
Why on earth is Raul doing something now? PWAP needs a vacation, why on earth is he doing another project, as tiny as it is?
Tell me if you guys get security'd. Now that'll be a fun story...
Psh, I know *I* won't. I'm a good girl.
I don't even know if I'll Williamstown-equivalent-of-stagedoor. It's not really necessary, heh. I'll see how I feel about it then. I'd probably be fine with not.
Oh how I would love to go, but considering I'm going to NY the following week, I can't justify(or afford) spending all that money. Oh well.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the equivalent of stagedooring is either. I feel like I've just seen him in Company and met him at the stagedoor many times, so for this it might be weird. I don't know. I'd love to talk to him just to tell him how much I love this play and am so happy that he was a part of it, but even saying that little amount to him would be big for me, lol.
What a lucky Friday the 13th this has turned out to be! First, news of Raúl in a show (even if it's just one performance) and then it seems its Raúl Esparza day on TV. Spin City this morning and right now Find Me Guilty is on STARZ. I think it'll be repeated sometime in the middle of the night, if you get the channel.
Really wish I could go, but bad timing with work for me. Hope there is a large BWW contingent so we get a full report.
And what about Bounce?
I think I might like to, if it's not unusual at something like this, say a quick hello and tell him he was great -- because let's face it, he's GOING TO BE.
Ugh, I'm so. freaking. excited. I love awaiting his new projects, because there's never much idea of what to expect, I think -- it's more like "let's see what he's gonna do now..."

I didn't think anything could top Company, but this is just -- really exciting. It's only for one day, and it's a reading, but still. I honestly don't even think it's hit me yet. I can't lie, I'm disappointed that this is a one-shot deal because I wish there were a poster of Raul Esparza as Stage Manager in OUR TOWN!
We need Sarah to draw us one!
Keen, we're packing a car full of BWW ladies.

Why do I keep on thinking I read a quote from him somewhere saying he'd like to do Our Town and be the Stage Manager some day?...
Sounds like you're in for a treat. It's beautiful up there, but a long drive because it's kind of isolated. Wow, an afternoon with Raulito, and only $5 for a ticket!
I remember seeing that too -- it's out there.
It seems like it'll be a pretty simple (and scenic) drive. I don't mind car trips as long as they're of reasonable length. I'm going on vacation with my family next month and the drive is 18 hours. Each. Way. Now that's another story.
lol, misschung, we're better looking than that.

Did anyone else find Kristin's reference to Raul as a "flighty pony" really funny? I know she was using the Horse Whisperer metaphor throughout her piece, but I laughed out loud. I don't know why.
I was thinking the same thing, misschung. I love when she called him "the talented pony" - I can just see him prancing around on the stage. (And I've been reading the old thread and had kittens in my head, but now it's ponies).
Heh, that made me laugh, too! I loved that story, though. I'm not an actor at all, but I have such a deep appreciation for Doyle's process. It makes so much SENSE. His work shows through in the wonderful things he gets out of his actors. Raul's Bobby wasn't only brilliant because he's a great actor -- he was INCREDIBLY well-directed.
It is just beautiful in the Stockbridge-Lenox-Lee area. I was there last August (see, I was a whole year too early) and loved it. Try to check out The Mount, Edith Wharton's summer "palace."

Kristin's a good writer. And I love all of her scrapbook pictures. I'd love to see all of them and hear her commentary about that whole process in person
Heh, I'm still laughing that she called him flighty. I can personally attest to that.
The quote about Raul wanting to be the Stage Manager is in his Broadway.com profile under Quotable Quotes, though he was talking about being 60 when he does it.

Ehh, he's only twenty-five years early! That's nothing
What's a quarter century? Hah.
Wow, I just had three pages to catch up on!
First of all - I saw Gypsy again tonight...and for the first 20 minutes or so I giggled about the whole "PWAP" idea...but then she just gets SO good that you can't possibly think of anything else but how incredible she is.
Secondly, I'll be on vacation during that reading, so I expect to hear lots of reviews and fun stuff when I get back!
And now it's 2:40am, and I need to sleep so I can be totally awake and focused on NOT bringing a puppy home from Broadway Barks tomorrow!

...And never mind...
I hope they still have tickets available for the reading. I can't miss this.
