Even though I never thought I'd ever want to see another lip synching scene I am ready for this. I am also ready for Hader on the big screen.

Looks great, would love to see Hader in this, but I find Wiig to be a repellant.

It seems like the kind of movie that will open in 5 theaters and become an enormous word of mouth hit, like MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING.

Plus Joanna Gleason is the Mom. It doesn't get better than that.

I'm in the group that really wants to see this after watching that trailer.

I find Wiig to be on the most compelling and diverse actresses working today. I read the screenplay and I loved it. CAN'T WAIT

Anyone get a chance to see this yet? I just went last night and realy, really loved it. The plot isn't the most complex thing, but it's engaging, and the acting is really excellent- especially Hader and Wiig, who both give such wonderful performances. And their lip-sync scene is hysterical and a perfect moment.

Saw this yesterday and really, really liked it. It is very dark and sometimes uncomfortable to watch, as both Wiig and Hader's characters are spiraling downward so.

That being said, it is also very often quite funny- unsurprisingly! There's a great scene in which Hader and Wiig do nitrous in a dentist's office; not to mention Hader and Wiig's lipsync to "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now."

I knew Wiig was a great actress, but Hader was a revelation. Truly wonderful.

Luke Wilson (looking damn good) and Ty Burrell (playing against type as a smarmy, conflicted former lover of Hader's) are both excellent. And Joanna Gleason is a one-scene wonder as Wiig and Hader's self-absorbed, Sedona-dwelling, enlightenment getaway-going mother.

I saw this last week. Definitely not what I expected but still really liked it. I thought it was going to be more comedy and less extreme depressing stuff. Everyone else has mentioned the positives like Wiig and Hader's acting and the perfect lip sync performance which had me smiling the entire time.

Highly recommend it but don't expect a hilarious romp.

People are very excited and eagerly waiting to see Hader on big screen. Also to see his performance.

I just saw this and I can honestly say that this is one of the best dramas of the past ten years. Wiig and Hader have excellent chemistry and I personally related to Hader's character quite a bit. An extremely tastefully made and bittersweet movie that I can recommend to almost anybody.

Saw it last night. It was a sweet little indie. Sad and funny, mostly sad. In a year that's given us Boyhood and Obvious Child, it may get lost in the shuffle but it's definitely worth seeing.

Joanna Gleason shows the world how it's DONE.

I actually liked this movie quite a bit more than either Boyhood or Obvious Child because it had a much more compelling plot.

Speaking of Hader's performance, it's strange to me that some have found his performance too much of a stereotype of a gay man. Personally, I found the writing and performance of Milo to be very realistic- as a gay man, I found a lot of myself in facets of his personality. Then again, people based some of this critique on the fact that Hader is playing gay, which I think doesn't make the character any less realistic.

I think there are people who will not be happy until there are some barely opaque characters who do nothing or say nothing to indicate that they are contemporary gay people because EVERYTHING that might be done to signify such is "a stereotype."

I suppose that's true, but I guess that's what I liked about the character. Obviously, Hader is a charming performer, but I felt like I related a great deal to shared experiences with that character as a gay man. Like, I understood him on a fundamental level in regards to his sexuality, in that way that gay men can so often relate to each other. And if the more flamboyant aspects of the character were watered down, I don't think that connection would have existed.

I also really don't think people realize how unflamboyant his character actually was. I know a lot of gay men that are a lot more flamboyant than his character in this movie, so I don't really see what the problem is. Stereotypes exist because there are lots of people out there who exemplify them.

“I knew Wiig was a great actress, but Hader was a revelation.”

Kad, after seeing the movie last night, I texted this to a friend:

“I knew Wiig had it in her, but Hader was a revelation.”

So, you know, let’s stop being each other.
