The View Today...
The View Today...#1

Ok, there was a heated arguement, worse than ever, right after the segment, Alicia Silverstone was the guest, and literally said hi to all the co-hosts except to Elizabeth, I noticed that many of the guests ignored her lately, altho she tries to come and say hi to people, she gets ignored, people are tired of her hypocresy, yet, she acts like nothing happened during the interviews.

re: The View Today...#2
Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:33amI don't even watch the show, but I put my money on that the argument was between Rosie and Elizabeth.

The b*tch against Rosie, Sherri and Joy, as usual.
But mostly against Rosie, she wouldn't say admit that Rosie didn't call the soldiers "terrorist" like some cable channels stated.
re: The View Today...#4
Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:36amI was going to avoid the cliche "the gloves are off" between Rosie and Eliz, but it applies. For the first time, it got quite personal, when Rosie told Eliz that she had not stood up for her against the pundits of the Republican machine about the supposed "troops as terrorists" statement attributed to Rosie. It was a lively discussion beore it turned, with Joe particularly fired up in her indictment of Bush and call for his impeachmnt. The decision had been made, clearly, to let Joy carry the Bush critique, but it segued almost instantly into Rosie vs. Eliz. I think Rosie is in a last month mode. .

Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:38amIf you missed it, you missed a good one! The most heated and personal exchange between Rosie and Elisabeth yet. And they didn't make nice afterwards. (Although the show isn't over yet) Rosie has four weeks left, and I have a feeling (if she makes it) she's going out with a bang!

They are both all shaky when they talk still, and the show is about to be over, I doubt they are going to make up after this one.
It's sad to see this girl so confused, and clueless, and only interested in her own well being, it seems.

Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:46amIs it just me or does Elizabeth Mitchell look alarmingly like Ann Coulter??/

Auggie;
Who is Joe?

Elizabeth wasn't against Sherri. Sherri mostly stayed out of it, but if anything, you could tell she was kind of with Elizabeth.
I don't think Elizabeth is evil...I just think she has a hard time holding her ground against Rosie.
It's a shame, because I was supposed to go to THE VIEW today...I had tickets, but my friend bailed on me at the last minute so I didn't want to go by myself. I would have loved to see that live.
re: The View Today...#10
Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:48amHe meant "Joy"
re: The View Today...#11
Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:50amMunk you should have gone alone, or just give it to anyone, there is a 1 year wait to get tix, and they give a lot of free stuff. I can't believe you.

Thank God I recorded this one, can't wait to go home and watch all of this.
I'm sad Rosie's leaving before I'll get the chance to see the view live. I'm thinking of getting tickets when I go up to NYC this summer.
re: The View Today...#13
Posted: 5/23/07 at 11:57amYeah, Joy. I was typing fast, watching the Hindenberg ("Oh the humanity") There was clearly a strategy in place to allow Joy to carry the political rant, with Rosie only chiming in. It lasted about 2 minutes, and then Joy became the 40 yard liner. The "friendship" between Rosie and Elizabeth is clearly less than meets the eye. On the other hand ... they get to work at 9 in the morning, yet waited until airtime to unleash this degree of resentment?

Muscle: What on earth are you talking about?
1. I was not about to go to a TV taping by myself. Understandable.
2. You can't just give it to anyone. The tickets are non-transferable.
3. They don't always give you lots of free stuff. Today they didn't.
4. You can't believe me? Well, what's the problem?
5. There's not a 1 year wait period. It's about 3 months, max. Once Rosie is gone, tickets will be readily available again. I didn't even request the tickets, they just arrived in the mail. I have absolutely no idea how I got them.

" was not about to go to a TV taping by myself. Understandable. "
Why.. are you 5?
re: The View Today...#16

I believe you, I just can't believe why you didn't go for such a silly reason.
If a friend stands me up in that situation, it'd be the last time I talk to him/her.
I hate people who can't commit.

You're reading me wrong.
And I thought about going, but ultimately I didn't want to sit there by myself. I've been to THE VIEW before, and without the social aspect of being with a friend, I just didn't want to go.
Do I REALLY need to explain why I didn't feel like doing something? They overbook the shows anyway. At least I allowed for at least 3 standbys to get in.

I just didn't feel like it. Sometimes you just don't feel like doing something. I'm sure you've been there.
You wouldn't talk to your friend ever again if they didn't go to THE VIEW with them?
Oh, come on. That's laughable. It wasn't a malicious thing - it just happened that at the last minute, they weren't able to get into the city this morning. No harm done.

Munk.. it is such a sought after ticket.. that when you said you just didn't go because you didn't want to go alone...
Well.. you made me think that perhaps you were a child that can't venture somewhere on their own.
re: The View Today...#21
Posted: 5/23/07 at 12:07pm
No. It didn't have anything to do with venturing somewhere alone. I do everything alone - literally. I just had no desire to go without a friend.
It's really a sought after ticket? I can't imagine that. I don't know how I got it. I never requested them.

"It's really a sought after ticket? I can't imagine that. "
Did you just wake up after months of deep sleep?
And don't feel so bad.. I turned down going to Idol last night and tonight. I just couldn't care less and didn't feel like standing in line with a studio audience. These things arebbetter on TV anyway.
re: The View Today...#23
Posted: 5/23/07 at 12:11pm
Even if it is a sought after ticket, there are people online in standby that use the tickets. It isn't as if he kept someone else out of the show.
Munk, I'm with you 100%. If you didn't want to go, regardless of the reason, you shouldn't have gone. I don't see the problem.

My, Dame, we're snippy today, aren't we?
I didn't realize THE VIEW was a sought after ticket. I never thought about it. I didn't order the tickets, so I had no idea.
Be nice. Plus, it's not common knowledge. Don't act as if everyone on EARTH knows that THE VIEW is difficult to get tickets to. If you don't pay attention to things like that and if you don't follow it, you don't know.
