re: The View Today...

I loved it when Sherri grabbed her cards, stood up and waved 'bye' to the audience. If I were her - I would have continued on. But I know she has a contract.

re: The View Today...

I don't want to see Rosie on The Price Is Right, she won't be able to talk about what she believes in, and it will be all happy entertainment, and plain somehow.

re: The View Today...

Poor Joy. Elizabeth never lets her speak and Rosie overshadows her. I've never seen anything like what happened today. I've been saying for months that EH simply will not allow others to speak their mind. EH would not allow Behar to speak for more than ten second before she interrupted her.

Rosie is most definitely the B*ITCH.

The Question that's on my mind is ..... will Elisabeth, Rosie and the girls get an Emmy this month for their HIGH DRAMA.....

If they do, Elisabeth needs to thank Rosie

I know it's only a Daytime Emmy.....But Miss Lizzy might get a Emmy before Angela Lansbury.....Oh Dear!!!!

I want them too.

Although, Rosie is not going to the ceremony because of a child's graduation.

re: The View Today...

From what I heard, Rosie was really stopping the View because her kids told her she should...so why would she do something else?

And go Rosie. I hate Elizabeth, whoever thought to put her on TV was an idiot.

re: The View Today...

Both of them need to calm their frickin twats! Jesus.

Rosie won't be on tomorrow, that will kind of suck. I want to see how they are going to act with each other now.

And Rosie needs to thank Elizabeth.

re: The View Today...

I know I might be in the extreme minority here, but I'll risk my life in saying this.

While I most certainly do not adhere to Elisabeth's political beliefs, I do believe that Rosie and Joy use her as a human punching bag sometimes. Sure, Elisabeth isn't the most articulate person in the world, but she's certainly a smart woman. I might disagree with her stance on things 500%, but I do feel - in this instance - that she was dragged into the argument (with Rosie) and was basically attacked.

Of course, Rosie's political feelings are strong - and Rosie pointing out that Iraq didn't attack us was surely necessary - but Rosie did NOT need to re-hash last weeks fight. As soon as Rosie did that, the whole thing got petty and very personal.

I do feel bad for Elisabeth sometimes, because it can be impossible to argue with Rosie and maintain a level of cool.

But today, I think all parties crossed the line, though I do believe that Rosie did it first.

re: The View Today...

Munk, I agree. She's the only one on the show with her point of view. And she's pretty gutsy to speak her mind knowing what's to follow. I give her a lot of credit. And you're right, she's not stupid, nor a b*tch.

I'm not a fan of Elisabeth, but she's pretty gutsy. Good for her.

re: The View Today...

^ Amen, Munk. Perfectly put. It's easy for people to hate Liz because they see her as the "republican bitch." But contending with Rosie is not easy. Rosie still seems a bit shocked from the fight, on her blog she answered some questions & comments with her one word answers - and kept writing she's shocked. Rosie is DEFINITELY playing the victim here. But I think Elizabeth is the usual victim daily on that show.

And not to mention she's pregnant, so she's probably moody as it is lol.

re: The View Today...

Will Rosie return to THE VIEW? As per her blog:

"tomorrow kelli turns 40
i will not be at work"

Is she taking off for Kelli's birthday? Does she need time to cool off? Did she walk away?

Interesting....

re: The View Today...

She probably requested the day off in advance for Kell's birthday. Doubt it's related to today.

re: The View Today...

I don't think it's gutsy to never shut up and allow anyone else to talk. Behar asked her to let her read the list. EH could not even shut up for a few seconds. She had to interrupt immediately. That's what started everything. What was brought up happened on Monday. EH refused to defend Rosie and admit that Fox News had distorted what Rosie said. All EH had to say was "Rosie, they got it wrong. You did not say that." EH chose to backpedal and say NOTHING. She said NOTHING in defense of someone she claims is a friend. Rosie had every right to be hurt. Having seen the show, I was angry that EH did not defend her.

Why does disliking EH have to be about her being a Republican? I find her to be an idiot just like Debbie M. I was glad when Debbie was fired, and I'd feel the same way if EH gets fired. An idiot is an idiot regardless of their political beliefs.

re: The View Today...

-That's not what started everything. The fight started when Rosie challenged something Elisabeth said. Of course, Elisabeth was being obnoxious when Joy was trying to read her list, but it was innocent. Nothing got ugly UNTIL Rosie re-hashed an old fight that had NOTHING to do with the current discussion.

-Rosie didn't ask Elisabeth to defend her, nor did she ask her to admit that Fox News distorted what she said. Rosie simply asked Elisabeth, "Do you believe that I believe that the American troops are terrorists?" That's what she asked. She asked her whether or not Elisabeth believed that Rosie believed that. She never asked her to defend her.

-Elisabeth didn't jump to Rosie's defense because, well, as Elisabeth put it, Rosie's a big girl. She can defend herself.

"I don't think it's gutsy to never shut up and allow anyone else to talk."

That isn't what I was calling her gutsy for.

And yeah, I think it also takes guts to never shut up.

re: The View Today...

I give Elisabeth a LOT of credit.

Of course, she CAN be a bitch, she CAN be cranky, and I do think her political stance is a bit ignorant, but she holds her own on the show. Dealing with Rosie isn't easy.

re: The View Today...

It's going to be weird when Rosie is gone and Liz is on maternity leave. It'll be Joy and Barbara and random guest hosts. While I don't agree with Rosie's behavior - I don't know how the show will keep its ratings up without her. People who do and don't like her tune in just to see what she'll do and say next.
