re: The View Today...

I honestly think that Rosie will not return to THE VIEW, or she'll return once more to say her goodbyes on the air.

One of her "fans" asked her:

"Rosie! Will you be back on The View? When?"

She replied:

"no idea"

In other questions, people said things like "It's not worth it." And she replied with "I agree."

I think she's done.

re: The View Today...

I, too, think people should cut Elisabeth some slack sometimes. I don't agree with 90% of her beliefs, but I really don't see her as the mindless dipsh*t others seem to. I don't think I'd really want to hang with her, but I think it's good she is there to temper the others. Rosie, who I do like a lot and agree with 90% of the time, is still something of a blowhard. And I think she condescends to Elisabeth a lot, even if she doesn't intend to.

Munk, will you post a review thread tomorrow to tell us about your experience in the audience?

Oh, don't be a sourpuss. You should get some rest! You'll want to get there early. I hope they give you prizes, especially since you've gone two days in a row.

re: The View Today...

I just want to say that I have lost all my respect and admiration toward Sherri Shepperd, whom I said would be a good guest co-host. She was very immature today on The View. Also EW was wearing a blanket! Really bad dress, like some said earlier.
So my pick for Rosie's replacement is Whoopi.

What on earth with Sherri do? She sat there and twice tried to break the tension to make the audience laugh. What's your problem?

re: The View Today...

Sherri stuck up for Bush saying that he didn't have sex with an intern, which I found very inappropiate, because no one died when Clinton cheated on his wife.
Also the fact that she was saying she doesn't care about politics and that she just wants to watch "Dancing with the Stars", just seemed sad to me, not saying that you shouldn't watch tv, or Broadway shows, but you somehow need to be informed about what's happening in order to vote for the right candidate. People don't always vote for the good guys, and we know it.

Didn't Sheri say towards the end of the show that her religion does not allow her to get involved with politics (or something like that)?

re: The View Today...

From Rosie's blog today

photographers again waited yesterday
by the ramp at abc
extra extra
the line between fake and real

did u hear
a squirrel attacked a woman
its true
it was in the paper

Is she actually talking about a squirrel attacking a woman? Or is Elizabeth the squirrel and Rosie the woman?

And I wish I could see if Elizabeth is saying anything today, but George Bush is on.

re: The View Today...

She is talking about fake news, that people seem to believe, not about EH.

re: The View Today...

I didn't see or tape the show, but I did see an online clip. From the clip, it looked like EH held her own, and Rosie came across as an overbearing blowhard (I must admit that I already think of her as an overbearing blowhard, but she did come across that way in the clip...really). For the record, I am not a fan of Rosie's (used to be, not anymore). While I do agree with her on some topics, I disagree with her on many more, and her personality has alienated me.

re: The View Today...

The lying son-of-a-bitch, murdering war-criminal of a "president" has once again postponed The View in NY with one of his bulls#!t press conferences. (He's making a complete ass of himself, as usual. Oh... and of course trying to instill as much fear in the American public as possible.) I know that Rosie wasn't scheduled to be on the show today but I was still curious if any statements were going to be made about yesterday's altercation. For those in other cities and time zones who will have the opportunity to see the show, please keep those of us who have been blacked-out posted. Thanks!

re: The View Today...

I'm sick of this exact same thing going on almost daily when everyday, Rosie proves her points very well, and Elizabeth comes up with stupid comebacks and can never answer a question. Personally, I'm more concerned with the fact that I'm missing Kathy Griffin right now because of the President than I am that I'm missing another political argument on the show.

Holding your own against Rosie O'Donnell is damn near impossible. Just keep that in mind. She's a terribly overbearing woman, though I do love her.

re: The View Today...

Oh yeah, I'm well aware that that's damn near impossible, haha, but Elizabeth can't hold her own against anyone who knows what they're talking about. What the show needs is another republican who can back up their points and take a valid stand for what they believe in.

I love how EH made herself available for comments to Extra yesterday. I think she is a little Eve Harrington.

re: The View Today...

Rosie simply asked Elisabeth, "Do you believe that I believe that the American troops are terrorists?" That's what she asked. She asked her whether or not Elisabeth believed that Rosie believed that. She never asked her to defend her.

-Elisabeth didn't jump to Rosie's defense because, well, as Elisabeth put it, Rosie's a big girl. She can defend herself.

I don't think it was all about whether or not Elisabeth defended Rosie. She wanted EH to say she doesn't believe that Rosie thinks the troops are terrorists, but EH didn't say that which implies she *does* believe that statement. Rosie kept going back to the point that Elisabeth is (was) her friend and she knows how much Rosie loves and supports the troops. I think she was more hurt to find out that Elisabeth really doesn't know her as well as she thought she did than she was mad that Elisabeth didn't defend her. It seemed to me to be more about their friendship than anything else.

re: The View Today...

I'm sorry I wasn't able to see the show today, but as far as Kathy Griffin goes, she really didn't contribute much to the show the last time she guest hosted. I really don't think she would be a very good choice to replace Rosie. And Roseanne Barr isn't articulate (or lucid) enough. So, my vote at this point goes to Whoopi.

re: The View Today...

For those who did get to see The View today, did they make any reference to yesterday's argument? Did Kathy Griffin comment about the Rosie and Elisabeth fued?

I was so disappointed when I rewound my videotape to see an hour of President Bush.

Barbara said something about how everything was peaceful. Rosie wasn't on the show.

re: The View Today...

Im with Luscious, althought I have been a big fan of Griffin since her Suddenly Susan days, she didn't impress me as a co-host, actually I can't believe that Walters asked her back again!? I think it was a last minute kinda thing, that Rosie decided not to show up to celebrate Kelli's birthday.

Whoopi is my pick as well, they need a strong woman like her, plus she is a bigger "name", since she won an Oscar(plus another nomination for The Color Purple if Im not mistaken, and she hosted the event as well)

mateo, can you tell us more about The View, there are rumors about her not coming back to the show. That'd be silly of her, she can't give up, and she has a contract.
