EverythingIsRENT: Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't France oppose going into Iraq?

EverythingIsRENT, this is not against you, but why are all these pro-war people here in this country?
I say, you want war, go fight the war.

1. We weren’t the only country who thought there were WMD's EVERYONE thought that.
That is not true. France, Germany, Canada and Russia didn't to name a few. The UN said Iraq did not have WMDs. Congressmen Dennis Kucinnich, Barney Frank, and Ron Paul voted against the war (same info Hillary and Edwards had). Some celebrities who knew... Seymor Hersh, Rosie O'donnell, Randi Rhodes,
2. Terrorists don't stay in one country, Al Queida is everywhere and you have to go to wherever they are. Terrorists started war the second the first plane flew into a building. why does NOBODY remember being attacked? Stop with the short term memory!
This isn't a short term memory that is your rhetoric. You are the one without a memory or an accurate recollection of the events. Sadam Hussein hated Saudis, why would he do business with Bin Laden?
You probably have no clue that Sadaam, Iran/Hezbollah, and the Taliban have nothing to do with one another. You see my friend there are battles to be fought, but we are fighting the WRONG ONE!

EverythingisRENT, you've obviously bought the Bush WMD propaganda hook line and sinker...the President was desperate to go into Iraq to topple Saddam and finish the job his father started, if he had waited for the UN to verify that there were no WMD's then he would have had no excuse for the invasion...so a little manufactured intelligence was just what the doctor ordered to rally the public for an invasion. Unfortunately, he had no long range plans, didn't understand the centuries old conflict in Iraq and has now gotten this country into a quagmire that is going to take years to extricate ourselves from.
There were no Al Qaeda in Iraq before the invasion...Saddam had no liking for Bin Laden. But now that all security has broken down in that country Al Qaeda has taken advantage of it and is now part of the insurgency.
Since Bin Laden and his band of merry men were basically holed up in Afghanistan, why didn't Bush finish the job that was started there and root them and Bin Laden out? If he had really wanted to stop the terrorist, this would have been a good beginning. Instead he decided to invade a country with no connections to Al Qaeda, he put Afghanistan on the back burner...and now 5 years later...we have no Bin Laden, we've opened up a breeding ground and training camp for terrorist in Iraq and have generated even more hatred for the west. All in all I'd say Bush has done a heck of a job in promoting terrorism.

Al Qaeda in Iraq is minimal at best. Probably under 500 people and that is being generous. The Sunnis groups forming Iraqi Al Qaeda are just band wagon jumpers, and I would not be surprised if they were just insurgents labeled that by the GOP.
There were more Al Qaeda operatives in the USA than in Iraq if that means anything to you.

EverythingisRent:
Develop some critical reasoning skills and examine the facts, not what has been put out by the Bush Administration.
If we really wanted to go after the terrorists, we would not have abandoned Afghanistan to move against Iraq - a country that had been contained by over 10 years of UN Sanctions, monitoring, and military threat. You are right that people thought that Saddam had WMDs, but he was not a clear and present danger to the US.
The Bush Administration created the fiction that Iraq was linked to 9/11 in order to justify a pre-emptive war. The NeoCons had been planning to invade Iraq for years before 9/11.
We did not go after those who attacked us, but instead, got distracted by the desire of the NeoCons to remake the Middle East. In the process, we have done far more damage to our own security and credibility, and have done the recruiting work for Bin Laden.
I fully supported going into Afghanistan, because that is where our enemy was rooted (along with Saudi Arabia). There are now terrorists in Iraq, thanks to the misguided and mismanaged policies of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld...
Visit some other resources, and start to look at all of the facts.

Everything- If you want an instant replay, just look for news on Iran. It's the same bullsh!t that happen pre-Iraq. It's only a few years later, I'm glad Bush is looking out for us. I'm sure we'd be SOL about now if Sadaam and Osama were alive.

So I listen to a radio talk show host named Lionel, on Air America. Anyway, he just reported that Rosie's "writer" was escorted from the View studios yesterday for drawing moustaches on pictures of Elisabeth which hang there!

Is this a "re-run" or a "usual previously recorded Friday show"?

Speaking of short term memory:
Do you recall that initial discussion of the WMD threat from Hussein/Iraq began during the Clinton era?
Hussein killed hundreds of thousands in a single spree, many times over?
According to iraqbodycount.org, the current civilian death toll is somewhere between 65,000 to 70,000.
Before you jump down my throat, I'm not saying that it's Clinton's fault, but Bush didn't invent the tale. He certainly took us to war based on that info, though.

It is not a "re-run", it was previously recorded.
Apparantly, Donald Trump is with Rosie this time and now against Elisabeth. He said something about her being "stupid."

The clip I saw with Trump was all against Elizabeth, nothing for Rosie. Not sure if it was more about the way it was edited though. He said everyone regarded Elizabeth as one of the dumbest personalities on TV.

And, if I recall, many of those were killed during Bush I's term as President.
By the time Clinton came into power, the first Gulf War was over, and Hussein was contained.

Not quite. Although 1988 alone saw the deaths of over 100,000 Kurds, most scholars believe the bloodshed, torture and killing happened consistently from 1980 until he was deposed. Hussein wasn't "contained" until he was overthrown.
