so i guess this will be the last new episode for december, right?
What is the big deal with Marcel? Everybody hates him for no good reason. Yeah, he's arrogant and a complete dork, but isn't that normal for a chef?
Borstal, I agree - I never understood the hatred for him. I think his personality in the first few episodes likened him to Stephen, and people were looking for a villain. I think Betty is the evil one, and if you watch closely, Marcel's actually pretty sweet and sensitive - opening up to Elia about not understanding why everyone hates him.
i agree... i really like Marcel! I think that he is adorable... Betty and Sam are the two villains for me...
Too bad Cliff had immunity. Tonight's show was so heartbreaking.

I am so bummed to see Mia go, I had a feeling they were goingto send Michael packing.
I also thought Michael was being sent home and that Mia sacrificed herself for nothing.

I actually thought they were going to send Elia home. I wonder what they had decided before Mia threw herself "under the bus" as they love to say on Top Chef! I haven't seen a hissyfit like that on TV in a long time.
I like Marcel. Always have. He's just so entertaining and well - odd. When he started yammering away at the judges' table last night, it was so funny when Ilan chuckled and explained to the judges "oh, that's just Marcel."
I was quite impressed with Betty the past two episodes. She was starting to get on my nerves, but redeemed herself when she loaned Michael the eggs (and the other chefs followed suit) during the surfer challenge, and with her catering skills last night. The winning team last night was so obvious from the get go.
Note to self - do NOT wait until event time to make hors d'oeuvres for 200 people!

i can't stand Sam, i think out of all the chefs HE is the one who has tried to create the most drama... i love Marcel...and am so glad that Elia is staying... i really thought they were going to send Mike home...
They didn't do a very good job of beeping Mia's obscenities last night.
I absolutely hated Top Chef's having the audience vote for the sexiest chef. Who cares about a chef's sex appeal? If sex appeal for a chef is so important, how did Tom become successful?
Ugh Marcel has got to go, he's not NEARLY as good as he thinks he is.
and Micahel is ****ing dead weight, he has not done **** all season.
Mia was right to be pissed, Cliff ****ing through her ass under the bus then go in the drivers seat and rolled over her 5 or 6 times.
I've watched both seasons straight through up till now, and I guess I'll share my opinions.
Betty needs to go, but they'll keep both her and Marcel on for as long as possible. I don't really see why some people think Sam is a villain; I believe that he, Cliff, Elia and Ilan are the ones to beat. My prediction is that Ilan will win with Sam and Cliff following shortly behind.
Here's my big issue: I think Mia needs to calm herself down. I understand how she could be frustrated because her voice wasn't heard (it's a wonder it wasn't; she was screaming so loudly), but how can her being homeless at one point have ANYTHING to do with Top Chef?
Agreed about Mike. He's due to go home any day now.
Oh boy! The drama's heating up.
Tonight's show was really entertaining. I think "Lust" should have had some heat in the dish. I would have made steak au poivre. Michael had a winning episode but I think it was a fluke.

Looking at Ted Allen and Ilan back and forth is so weird! They are ONE. lol.
Ilan goads Marcel, but I still think he's hot.

P.S. I LOVE Debi Mazar! And it was great to see Katharine Narducci. I kept picturing her as Charmaine Bucco on The Sopranos. "Arthuh, stop squeezin' the quail!"
i still don't understand what Marcel did to deserve all of that hate... i'm soo happy that Betty is gone... and it is great that Mike won!
I sort of agree with the judges about Marcel and his foams and gels...mostly because I'd never want to eat them...and I think a lot of the hate he gets is from doing things like what he did in the last episode when the team won and he didn't want to give Sam props for being the leader. I mean, that was IRRITATING.
It was time for Betty to go, I mean, that soup thing was just stupid.
I'm a Sam fan, not that I have ANY idea what any of it tastes like, but it usually looks and sounds good, HAHA...but Elia seems to be the most consistent and least annoying if we're going to include personality traits (that's of course, if we forget the one episode where she flipped out, HA).
