Okay...Dottie has officially come to the Reality Show Darkside (RSD).

BR, I dated some guy and had to break up with him because I couldnt get over the ridiculousness of his wearing two swatches.
Still, come on! 5?

The swatches with the white bands were the worst. The bands would turn greenish after a while. I thought it was me, perhaps stinky or something, but it happened to my friends' swatches too! White band - turned green. Always. I had to replace my white plastic swatch bands with blue ones and whatnot.

On Top Chef - Ilan's saffron pasta with clams looked kind of yummy.

come to think of it, in the 80's, everyone had oily skin, due to all that Tenax and Jericurl...Perhaps Ilan is a time traveller like Scott Bakula in that show.

^^Perhaps. After all, if I recall correctly, at one point, he (ilan) was wearing a seersucker blazer and a polo shirt. Very 80s preppy.

Oh and I must say that guest judge was gorgeous. Even my husband had to agree.

I liked when Cliff was grocery shopping and they panned to the Clifford (the big red dog) cereal box display! I wondered if they had him walk down that aisle on purpose.

Guest judge was handsome, yet unsexy for me...

Seriously, roses...your memory is sick! I hope you dont remember all the stupid things I've posted.

Doodle, if Blueroses doesn't, I most certainly will.

Yes, I have crossed to the reality show darkside. Is there any hope for me?

You are a short step from "Bad Girls Club", "Celeb Reality Games", "I Love New York" and "Hogan Knows Best", Dottie!

You're gonna need a TiVo!

lol. I thought Tom should've been harder on Cliff. Correct me if you think I am wrong, but it seemed to me like he was almost apologetic. "These are the rules, I'm sorry. You have to go" instead of "What in the world is WRONG with you, @sshole?!" He goes all Soup Nazi on their @sses for the slightest infraction in the kitchen, but he seemed sort of tame to me in response to someone being assaulted. I don't know. He (and Gail and Padma) did seem angrier about it at the judges table. I'll have to rewatch it. I was half asleep.

I agree with you. Tom was way too soft with Cliff. That's the point when I felt like they were thinking "little whiny Marcel had to ruin everyone's fun." I always feel really uncomfortable in those situations.

I loved how Padme, when they were at the judge's table, was like "Yes, let's talk about the food because, yo idiots, the food was actulaly really good!" I was glad to see a bit of a sense of humor, a spark of actual humanity in her. It's a bit of a surprise, but it was there!

Tom was angrier when they didn't have wine in the Italian restaurant last week!

Well, that is a bigger sin in my book, too, roses!

I agree, it was a nice surprise to see Padma get pissed.

And an even nicer surprise that she wore actual clothing. She's getting better and better. For the past two or three weeks we haven't had to see cameltoe.

Doodle, don't laugh, I caught a "Bad Girls Club" episode just the other night (the one that featured the pool boy). Looking back now though, I can't believe I watched most of it!!

Sam and Cliff were my favorites so I guess it's just Sam now. I think that Cliff did get a little out of hand though.

blueroses... read Tom's blog... he was really really pissed... he wanted to send all of the chefs home and have Marcel win by default...

i think that they were trying to go for a nice-guy Tim Gunn thing with him asking Cliff to leave...

Well I missed the show last night and it took every ounce of restraint to avoid this thread all day, but I finally watched it thanks to the wonder that is TV shows on iTunes.

My take:
-Elia looks AMAZING with a shaved head.
-I guess we finally understand Ilan's ridiculous outfit during interviews.
-If it were up to Marcel, Cliff wouldn't have gone home for what he did. I bet you Betty is mumbling somewhere blaming Marcel for Cliff going home.
-They really had to stretch to find too many negatives once the contestants were reduced to four. I would have been extremely disappointed if they had sent someone else home, though I knew they wouldn't.
-I've never been a fan of Sam as a person, but I was impressed by him in this episode (and have to admit that in the previews, he looked great with short hair).

Can't wait for the finale!

Doodle you were right about the video. The following is from Tom's blog:

"...Cliff jumped him, abruptly waking him [Marcel] up, and hauled him into a half-nelson, while the others laughingly captured the incident on a crew member's camcorder and debated shaving his head. Marcel was bruised and understandably freaked out, and the video footage had found its way back to the Producers...."

I just find it funny that this is episode ended exactly like the last season of Project Runway before the final.

"We love you all! You're all going!"

Any predictions, anyone?

As much as I want Elia to win, I think Sam will take it all. The judges seem to love his food...it seems he's won a lot of the challenges.

I thought he was a jerk on the "Seven Sins" episode...along with Ilan and Betty...but overall, I think the judges are most consistantly impressed with him.

Even though Marcel is brat, I almost hope he wins just to piss the others off.

But all in all, I'm an Elia fan. A funny, classy lady that stayed out of the drama and made good food...

i'm rooting for Marcel to take it... Sam and Ilan seem like brats, and i lost a lot of respect for Elia when she didn't stand up for Marcel...

GO ELIA! The woman has class and has avoided drama. She needs to win. I think her food always looks simple and delicious. Sam is a conceited narcissist and a big baby. Ilan is immature. He may have skills, but he is a baby too. Marcel is really very talented, but almost too intelligent which makes people respond to him in odd ways. I feel terrible about the nonsense he put up with.

If Betty were still in the competition, you know she would have been egging it on and shaving Marcel bald.

ELIA is #1 in my book.
