Congratulations, we've all once again allowed qolbinau to derail a thread with his bizarre rantings. It's best to just ignore him when he goes off like this. He's like the crazy Trump supporting uncle we all have to listen to at holiday gatherings.

Kdogg, if they are suffering from dementia, and severe dementia at that, doesn't that make qolbinau's lectures all the more redundant? Serious disease of the brain is not so easy to wish away, and I'm not sure a "cultural revolution" would be of much help.

I'm not even going to entertain the cray of qolbinau. It's clearly just not worth it in the grand scheme of things that 8 innocent people lost their lives and there's a 14 year old autistic child with a punctured kidney, collapsed lung, broken hip and a brain bleed fighting for her life.

Just fascinating. The mob has made me sound ‘crazy’ yet - I am one of only few here with the rational sense to criticise holding of beliefs about mythical beings floating in the sky. Hilarious.

We just had a religious motivated attack and almost no one here has been able to name and criticise the cause of this.

It’s funny to be described like a ‘trump supporting Uncle’ because I think you might be confused - my anti-religious sentiment is by far the most progressive thoughts on this topic on this forum. It’s not a right-wing idea at all. In fact, the right-wing of your country is most of the problem. Where do you think Republicans base many of their social policy ideas from? You’d be naive and silly if you thought it was because they were simply ‘bad people’. It’s the religious systems they’ve been involved in - not bad apples.

I am so disappointed in how conservative and unscientific this forum is. I bet you would see much more criticism of religion on a science or technology forum - and perhaps one with less USA demographic because it’s a very very religious and religious sympathetic country.

Also, the only blanket statements I’d make about religious people are that they’re all intellectually wrong about their beliefs - which any sane and scientific person would agree is true. I mean by pure logic we know most people have got it wrong because they hold contradictory views between and sometimes within religions! I wouldn’t and haven’t made a single blanket statement about the moral values of all religious people.

As I made explicitly clear to you in the past, qolbinau, it's less what you say than how (and when) you choose to say it. You have an uncanny knack for making even good ideas and sound arguments sound terrible. You just poison your own well with your pseudo-intellectual grandstanding and insistence on your own enlightened nature over everyone that deigns to disagree or hold a different viewpoint... and then you complain when no one wants to drink. You've got the emotional intelligence of a fern and until you work on that, you're going to be a lousy communicator.

It may not be too late for you to bring a glimpse of that to the boards.
