Thanks, Tiff - I'll monitor those tickets closely!
And when I see them, I really really want to hear 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me'...unlikely, I know. But I want what I want. Also - Desire, Pride, ISHFWILF...ock, play them all, Bono, THEM ALL!!
If they played only everything on their Best of 1980-1990 album, I'll die a happy gal. (What can I say, I'm an '80s junkie.)

"I could go onstage, unzip my pants, and hang my dick out, and people would think it was a statement about something." - Bono
I'd settle for that, either.
If there's a guarantee that he'll rise to the occasion, I'll make it my mission to camp out 3 days in advance to ensure front row spots on the floor.
Oh, by the way - dilemma. Because of unfortunately Europe planning, my London visit will be cut from 5 nights to ONE AFTERNOON, unless I decide to sacrifice U2 in Vancouver and go to London one day early. What do I do? (I'm already seeing them in Seattle, but still...)

So that would give you just one extra day in London? Most of which would be taken up with travelling/settling in? The rest of which you'll be too tired to do anything but drink booze and take snuff?
Which show do you have GA for, Tiff? Because I wouldn't want to miss that one. If you have GA for Seattle, then missing Vancouver doesn't sound like such a big deal.

Oh yeah, my heart bleeds...hmmm,which U2 concert will I skip? What a tough life.
yeah, Elphie, Seattle is GA. Vancouver is the one for first-row balcony, looking straight at the stage. Ellie, yeah it would be a travel day, but I figure that would at least give me one full day in London for the day after.
What do you think?
Oh, shut up, pretty person.

Ok, ugly obeso.
But...what about Ewan? And Les Mis? And Brooke in Chicago? And Billy Elliot?
I won't get to see Ewan no matter what, meaning I've lost $220 on primo tickets that I won't get to use.

Is that definite? Doesn't your aunt appreciate how badly you want to see these shows?? And didn't you tell her you already had tickets?
Yup, I told her. She doesn't care.

Insist. She must have some sort of reasonabilty in her.
Nope, she won't listen. She claims she would, but when I tried to persist about going back to London after the tours, she told me that if I find that only 3 weeks in Europe without London is a waste, then she should just cancel the trip altogether.

What has she got against London?? Gee, sounds like you're going to have a swell time with her.
hm, I don't know the details of your London/Europe trip, so I really don't know! Tough call. Sounds like you might have more fun at the U2 concert, though.
Congrats to Bono, who was nominated for the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize! (He probably won't win, and he's been nominated before, but its still pretty cool that he's being recognized for his activism).

Yeah, he's on a list with about 111 others, right? I hope he at least makes the shortlist this time.
I think the online joke about it was when someone said "Just because his CD is called How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb doesn't mean he did."
Okay, well, after GA seats, nothing can get any better, right? So it's a matter of it I want to see them twice.
Awww Tiff, I'm sorry you've got to make that decision! Tough call. Will you be able to sell the tix to at least get your money back...Wow, that was a stupid question. "Please, is there no one out there who will buy these U2 tix? Anyone? Hello?"
I saw that about Bono getting a Nobel Peace Prize nod. Kind of cool, even though I'm sure someone else will be awarded.
Hmmm, anything else U2 related since I'm here?? Oh, I got my credit card bill that had the tix on it (along w/ all of my books from the spring semester!) That made for a depressing day!
Tell me about it Mabel!! I got my MC and Visa bills, and I'm like "And HOW MUCH were those 3 pairs??"
oh, what did you do with your extra pair? And you went for the ones directly facing the stage? (I recommended keeping those!)
I don't even want to look at that bill again! Damn books! Damn U2!!! Damn my lazy ass for not bothering to do work study last semester to replenish my funds!!!
On a side note, I picked up the Slane Castle concert DVD from the Elevation Tour over the weekend (it was $10 used from FYE!) and it was thoroughly enjoyable! I wish I'd caught the Elevation Tour. Oh well, I could always buy the Boston DVD and pretend I was there, since that's where I would have seen them. The Slane DVD also has a rather humorous documentary about the recording of Unforgettable Fire...Bono w/ a mullet! Wooohooo!!! Good times!

I want to see the Slane DVD! That was literally the day after his Dad died, wasn't it?
Elphie, yeah I still have both pairs with me, but if I went, I'd keep the ones looking directly at the stage and get rid of the ones right next to it. What do you think?
I would LOVE to see the Slane DVD. What's FYE?
