Geez, how did I miss this thread? I didn't realize you guys updated it. It turns out I'm screwed too if the public sale is next weekend - I'll be in San Fran on the 19th (Saturday) and I don't know if my hotel is equipped with high speed internet. *le deep sigh*

Mabel, have you been keeping up with Interference? I go on once or twice a day to see what's up, but the sheer volume of new and redundant threads is starting to make it awfully tedious. Most people were saying that all North American public sales would be on the 19th, but one of the threads said MSG would be released on the 14th. Am I going crazy here? I really want to get those tix!

ETA: Just checked ticketbastard. Turns out not ALL seats go on sale on the 19th. In fact, most tickets seem to be going on sale on the 12th, 13th and 14th at either 9am or 10am - good call, so there isn't a system crash once EVERYONE from the east coast clammers for different cities at one time! MSG is on the 14th at 9am, so I'll be setting my alarm clock! Be sure to check to confirm. Oy. I'm going to have 6 windows open - 1 for .com for each NYC date, and 1 for .ca for each date too. I believe I bought my Seattle tickets through .ca because there was less traffic, and it sure helped! (Mabel, don't pass that onto anyone else, but I'd suggest you do the same!)

Thanks for the update Tiff! I did see yesterday that MSG is supposed to go on sale Monday at 9...CRAZY! I guess that's when Elton John tix are going on sale for MSG too. I'm predicting major system overload! Thanks for the heads up on .ca too! I'll have to man a couple of computers w/ .ca too! Good lord! At least it's quasi-early in the morning, so there shouldn't be too many people in the lab. I'm thinking right now, I'm going to be keeping an eye out for added dates. I'm convinced they've got to add at least a couple for that entire free weekend. W/ all the success stories coming in from former Prop members, I'm thinking by the time the u2.com members dig out their chunk, there likely won't be much of anything for GA w/ those 3 dates. Oh my god, this is going to be a mess!!! I'm just hoping that this turns out to a magical U2 day, where I get GAs and catch the boys at the Waldorf sometime later in the day...NOT a total disappointment (which I'm know is SO much more likely) where I come up empty handed and piss away hours waiting out there for nothing...sigh...

I'm scared I won't get tickets. Because if I don't, then there really is no hope and I would have to end my life. At least with the last time I knew that more MSG dates were very likely, but this time...

Awww, Ellie!!! I dreading Monday morning too!!! I know, I know...at least I have tix for Boston. BUT, it's MSG! How could I NOT see them there?!?!? I was so optimistic last week, but that's quickly dwindling away. I think seeing all the Prop members getting GAs so easily kind of freaked me out. I'm having serious doubts that there'll be many GAs left. I mean, good for them and everything, but what about us?!?!?! I still totally believe that they'll add dates on Monday. I don't know how many of what days, but I can't believe that they'll leave that week open, and I see them adding MSG dates before adding Philly dates (the next city after NYC). It'd just suck to get say Wed. the 12, because that'd kind of throw off our little shindig...then I'm also wondering if I should just try for some nosebleeds right off and then play around trying to get GAs (hell, nosebleeds are better than nothing!)

I'm almost tempted to try for GAs for Boston or some other city on Saturday just to see if it's going to be totally impossible to get them (I'm not going to buy them...just test out the waters, if you will...No, that's a bad idea! I won't want to give them up if I happen to score some, and it'll just be depressing and freak me out even more for Monday if I come up empty handed!) DAMN YOU U2 for being so friggin popular!!! Biggest band in the world, my ass!!!

Gotta go to class...I'm sure there'll be much more venting and bitching over the next few days from our little group of ticket seekers!!!

And let my weekend of stalking of U2 begin!!! According to u2log.com Bono and his wife, Ali, are launching Edun, Ali's new fair trade/organic clothing line @ Saks Fifth Avenue tomorrow! I think I'll have to at least make an attempt to swing by. I'm throroughly anticipating it being a closed off affair/them to not even let me in the store (a "be gone you scrub"/Pretty Woman sort of deal...As you can tell, I've never been to Saks!) but I suppose it'd at least be worth popping by. It's not like I have anything else to do...well, other than read a few hundred pages/write 3 papers, but what's that!?!?! I have all weekend to get to that! I feel like such a looser, but I want my album signed, dammit!!! Anyway, that's all...just felt the need to share my pathetic stalker plans!

Yeah...I'm thinking of scratching the LP idea now in favor of something smaller/more concealable...sigh...if only I had something quasi-high-end (or even something that *looks* quasi-high-end!!!) We shall see...And yeah, I'm guessing after they'd likely be off to your neck of the woods after the Hall of Fame induction on Monday. Hopefully one of us'll luck out!

No, I didn't...As I was getting ready to head out the door w/ my HTDAAB book thing (from the CD/DVD/book combo thing...I figured it was small and less conspicuous) I was already feeling kind of blase' about going. Something about asking for an autograph at a department store was really starting to make me feel like a total ass (even if it was for a launch... there was just something about it just seemed really tacky, like I couldn't imagine asking for a picture standing next to the lingerie department!) Anyway, I was just putting my phone in my bag and a friend stopped by wanting to get something for dinner, so I opted to pass on Saks...Just as well, because I read this morning that the people that were there were booted out anyway! I will definitely be swinging by the Waldorf Astoria on Monday though. I think I'll pop by before my class and see if there are any rumors floating around as to when/where they're expected to show up, and then go back again after class. I don't have very high expectations for that either, but what the hell?!?!? Speaking of not having very high expectations for success...I'm pretty convinced that tix (at least GAs) for MSG are going to be near impossible to get. I played around trying for tix during the general sale this morning, w/o much luck. I did come up w/ one GA for Tampa (which I didn't buy), but that was pretty much it. They added two December dates in Boston (it looks like that was it for added dates; I was shocked!) I tried for GAs (doing Best Available $50) as soon as they went on sale and got nothing. Nothing really for Chicago either, which I also tried just out of curiosity...though there were actually still some nosebleeds left a half an hour or so ago...I was surprised it they didn't sell out right away, like the Boston shows. Anyway, that's about it for now. Best of luck to everyone on Monday. I don't know what I'm going to be shooting for...I'm also wondering if I'd be better off just searching for a single rather than a pair (which I don't want to do, but that's how I ended up w/ the GA for Tampa). Or if I should hop right on nosebleeds and start looking for those right from the get go too??? God, this got loooooong!!! Sorry!

Mabel, stick with the Waldorf. I think that would be better anyway. And I want a FULL report! (Does that mean they'll be arriving in Vancouver on Monday/Tuesday? That's not much time at all if they have to be outta there by Saturday!)
Ladies, what are we doing with this ticket situation? I'm going to try buying a pair - Mabel? Ellie? What about you? I'm about 80% sure I'll be able to come to NYC if I get U2 tickets for any of those October dates (ideally the 7th or 8th) and I want to go with you! (Of course try getting seats for yourself anyway. And for me too, if you think you'll have a friend who'll want to go or you can resell it if I can't make it!)

I'm not picky about dates, I'll take anything, thankyouverymuch. But I'm going to try to get four tickets, and three of my friends are also going to be trying for four. So that'll either leave us with O/4/8/12/16 tickets. So we're going to be working out our plans after that. Yay.

Hey gals! Just got back from Shockheaded Peter (what a fun, odd little show!) Anyway, I'll probably try for a pair for any and all dates. I'm hoping they add a SH*Tload of dates and the tri-state area gets oversaturated w/ tix like Chicago seemed to be today (a girl can dream, right?!?!?) Seriously, Chicago tix were still available (in groups of 8 even!!) as late as 6 EST!!! That's CRAZY! Are you ladies game for nosebleeds as well as GAs (I have serious doubts about getting GAs after playing around this morning). I really can't afford much more than the $50 seats...Well, I suppose I could swing the $100 ones, but I'd rather go see two shows (if AT ALL possible) in nosebleeds/behind the stage than once w/ slightly better seats.

Yeah, Ellie...I didn't want to rain on your parade, but I think it'll probably be a bit of a stretch trying for 4 tix (though, I guess you never know...you might be able to get 4 nosebleeds if that's what you went for right when tix went on sale). I think (especially if you've got a slew of people trying for tix) you'd be a bit better off having everyone go for pairs. Yeah, it'll suck not being able to sit together as one big group, but...better to be seperate and meet up before/after than to walk away empty handed...Sorry!

Mabel, ignore Ellie. We're only back-ups to her, in case her other 3 friends can't provide like we can. It's just you and me, babe. I'm game for nosebleeds, sure. I don't care. It's Madison Square! I have to say I'm getting nervous as HELL. With 3 shows going on sale at once, I don't know what I should focus all my attention on. I think the 7th or the 10th will be the best performance-wise, I'm just thinking that with 6 screens refreshing all at once, I'm going to F*CK something up. What are you thinking? Typing in "$50 Best Available" furiously and crossing your fingers? I'd also rather see the show twice from crap seats than once from better seats.

Yeah, as of right now, I'm going pairs at Best Available/$50 all the way. I'm planning on manning a corner of the computer lab...they're kind of blocked off in little sets of 4, which'll give me one for each date and one to refresh looking for added dates...AAHHHHHH!!!!! As much as I'd kick ass seats, I'm focusing on getting nosebleeds (that way if some miracle happens and GAs pop up, I'll/we'll be pleasantly suprised!) SH*T...The bottle of flavored water that I opened just exploded all over the place...I think I need to go towel off!!!

I'm sure I can find someone to take them (shhh, Ellie, if you come up empty handed w/ your crazy 4 tix idea, I may have one to spare!) I wish the tix had just gone on sale this morning. I hate waiting! Not to mention the fact that they're the only tix going on sale Monday, so every U2 fan, scalper, ticket broker, and their brothers are probably all going to be trying for MSG. I read on one thread on interference that they were expecting some added dates in NJ too. I don't know if I want to venture out to NJ...I hope it doesn't come to that! Just stay in NY boys! PLEASE!!!

Yeah I'm sort of dreading Monday. So many other closer cities have already gone on sale, so now everyone who didn't get tickets is going to be trying to MSG. I'm getting worried. Two tickets for each of us it is, right? (I'll have to get your AIM sn from you again so we can converse quickly while buying them.)
