I'm surfing Interference again (which I tend to do now as a nervous habit) and it's about 60/40 for choosing GA instead of choose Best Available for floor seats. However there are many people who said TM specifically says it tries for GA first and they were able to get floor by choosing Best Available.
Mabel baby, if you get 2 floor seats, I'm still, still, still going with you and you won't sell me out to make a quick buck, riiiiight?
Tiff, you, Ellie, my bud from NH, and even any of the gals from the Bitches of Eastwick thread will certainly have first dibs before I resort to selling any potential extra tix for a fast buck. Promise! (I would have put Elphie in there too, but she'll be off in Australia, so...)
Yeah, I'd read that about the GAs being the first section under Best Available. My only thing is that if the GAs are sold out by the time I get through the queue, and it pops up w/ $165 tix, I'd be afraid that the nosebleeds might possibly be all gone by the time I get back in there and try for nosebleeds (sounds like the hot markets are selling out in 3 minutes or so, so I'm thinking it'll probably be first hit, that's it). So, I'm thinking $50 BA is the way to go (for me at least, since $100+/ticket is just not an option).
Oops, sorry, that's what I meant. Selecting $50 BA instead of just GA. Okay, I'm thinking I'll try for $50 GA for October 8, then $50 BA for October 7, because by the time I get back onto my October 7 window, chances are all the GA will be gone (those first 15 seconds are critical, right?), and then rush over for best available for October 10. Some people were saying U2 might have a few roll overs extending until Oct. 13 or 14, so assuming all of the roll-overs go on sale at the same time (do they?), I'll try for the 14th first and work my way back.
Yeah, I've been reading (though I'm taking it w/ a grain of salt after only seeing the two Boston dates and one Atlanta date added yesterday and today) that there are supposed to be 7 NYC dates (not sure if that's 7 on this leg, or 7 including the spring date...or even 7, counting the 2 NJ spring dates, you know, 7 in the tri-state area?)
With that being said, I would totally expect dates to be added for the week of the 10th...there's a whole week there before Philly (and Philly seemed to sell kind of slow-ish, so I wouldn't expect them to add more there). Though, I guess there's a week open before/after/around LA and no dates were added there, even though it sold out in a couple minutes, so who knows?!?!?!
I'd guess that Oct. 8th would probably be the hardest to get tix to, since it was available on pre-sale, and most people (particularly out of staters) probably jumped on that, since it's on a weekend. As for the added dates, they seem to pop up w/in 15-20 minutes after the tix go on sale (at least that's what it seemed to be for Boston, both spring and fall). I guess just keep refreshing and look at the top of the page for that little block of "newly added dates"...though I think I read that they don't separate them like that on .ca (they just pop up on the regular list of dates??)
Good call. I forgot thast the 8th was the only one on pre-sale. Okay, then I'm going to go for GA for the 10th and $50 BA for the 7th. (Which one do you think more people will be rushing to?)
Actually, I think all three dates went on sale for the presale. I just figured more people would have been going for the Saturday show rather than the Monday show, since those who easily got GA (which seemed to be the general consensus on this presale) wouldn't have to take a day off work to camp out all day. It seemed like a lot of the people on those "I got tix during the presale" seemed to be saying 7th/8th as the dates they picked. I'm sure all three of those dates had a good chunck of the GAs picked over.
I would say that the (theoretical) added dates would be the "easier" shows to get GAs for (since they wouldn't already have been available to Prop members for presale) but I tried for both Boston shows as soon as they went on sale, and didn't get anything. I would think you'd have to get in there w/in the first seconds they go on sale, but then I hear about people getting seated tix (when they picked best avail.), throwing them back and trying again and getting GAs...I don't know??? I've got super fast connection at school, and it still queues for 5-10 minutes...It seems if you wait for tix to show up, throw them back, and try again, there wouldn't be any left at all, let alone GAs!!! *deep breath*

So the plan with my friends is to divide our plans right in half - that is to say that two of us will be trying for 4 tickets and two of us will be trying for two tickets. And also two of us will be trying for Best Available and two of us will be trying for GAs...that's a good plan, right?? Right??
Mabel, I figured all 3 dates would be on sale, except when I went on TM, only the 8th had a pre-sale date in the margin, unless I'm looking at the wrong place.
Ellie, I'm confused.
I think that makes sense, Ellie. It'd kick some serious ass if one of your friends that's trying for 4 can score tix (BTW, make sure the ones trying for 4 aren't specifically trying for GAs, because you can only buy GAs in singles and pairs...it'd suck to "waste" their initial stab at tix, getting totally rejected for trying for too many). I think I've heard of a couple of people sort of slipping under the radar, getting more than 2 GAs, but it says on TM that you're only allowed 2, so I don't think it's worth risking it and coming out empty handed (or even worse, getting them and then having the order cancelled after getting all excited about having them!).

Four of us are trying for tickets, in total.
Of that four, two of us will be trying for two tickets.
Two of us will be trying for four tickets.
Two will be trying for GAs.
Two will be tring for BAs.
Mabel understands, dontcha Mabel?
It sounds like one of your logic questions, doesn't it, Tiff?
*sigh*
Yeah, it does, except then you have to figure out who's sitting next to whom and what color sweater everyone's wearing.
I get it now. So are the "four ticket" people the ones trying for BA?
Yep Ellie, I got it...Just wanted to double check that one of the folks going for 4 wasn't also one of the ones trying for GA, but since that's not the case, it sounds like you've got the bases pretty well covered!
Tiff, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure that all three dates (7,8, and 10) all went on the presale. *shrug*

The only thing is...what if we end up with only two tickets??
Who'll be the ones left out? *sweats profusely*
Mabel, you're probably right. I'll be trying for the 10th, then the 7th then. (I think more people will be going for a Friday than a Monday, right?)
Ellie, ha! Good question. That's why I hoped I'd be the one to buy the tickets - that way I'm not the one left out!
Sigh...I've thought of that myself, Ellie. What to do?!?!? It's gonna be a good ol' fashioned cat fight!!!
I say Thumb War.

I say we leave Tiff at home, whatever happens.
I say Tiff managed to score pretty good seats for several shows and seems to have good luck with getting U2 tickets, so ungrateful little bottle blond(e)s should start sucking up to said obsessive-compulsive charming Asian. Like, now.

Maybe tomorow...you gorgeous thing, you.
God, I hope we all get tix and don't resort to having to duke this thing out for a single pair between all of us (could get ugly!!!!)...Eh, even if we all score tix, chances are they'll all be for different dates too, which'll be a pain in the ass, since we'll have to deal w/ trading, etc. (Not that I'm complaining...I'd rather have to deal w/ that extra hassle than be left empty handed!!!)
I think I have to get a ticket for BST too, since she'll be letting me stay with her in NYC, and is the only reason why this trip might be slightly feasible.
3 tickets? 3?? *breaks into a sweat*
So again ladies, aside from roll-over dates, which shows are you going for? Mainly Mabel, because I don't care too much about SmEllie. (And Mabel, gimme your AIM again so I can get ahold of you stat tomorrow morning!)
This is causing so much trauma!
When I was complaining to my dad, he just rolled his eyes and said that there wouldn't be such competition for tickets if they went on tour more often and played more shows. I wouldn't mind that. But I told him Bono's too busy trying to eliminate world hunger and find a cure for AIDS. Good luck tomorrow, girls! I might try for MSG tickets just for fun, so I'll pass them on to you all if I get lucky!
Do it #1! Pweeze? Are you sure you have to go to that silly little ex-con island instead? I'm more than happy to try and pick you up some tickets as well!
PS. Mabel, are you still trying for the Waldorf tomorrow?

This thread is causing me to have a panic attack. Still...there's always Hartford, if the worst happens. Which it won't.
*gets down on knees and prays to our Lord Bono*
Yep, I'll still be swinging by tomorrow. I've got to go buy some batteries for my digital camera though...SH*T, tomorrow's going to be a busy day!
I wonder if the boys sign after the concert if I don't get lucky tomorrow?!?!? I've read that they do sometimes...hmmmm....
