I got 2 pairs for crap seats for 28th but it's something!! YAY!
(Still trying for better seats - brb )
That's great that you got tickets, Tiff!
Hang on. Still trying for floor seats. Will fangirl momentarily.
This is one of those, "I know I shouldn't tell you" situations, BUT...I cannot help it. So be warned, Tiff, that it's pretty sucky and only read on if you think you can handle it...If not, skip this post and move on down the thread and be super psyched about seeing U2 LIVE and in person...
Preface: To make up for it (because I do feel really bad...mostly for being such a jerk and telling you), I will send you a bunch of U2 boots once I convert them to CD...
I HAD a pair of GA's for Vancouver II, but lost them taking too long to type the payment info! I had NO expectations whatsoever of being able to actually get them, and didn't have any of my CC info handy! I'm SO SORRY! I know I probably shouldn't have said anything, but...--I think I actually wasted half of the time going "OH MY GOD!!! GA'S!!! GA'S!!! NO WAY!!!" It was one of those you see a glass falling of a table, but you can't even process the fact that you have to move to catch it type situations. It seems like it's just sitting there in slow mo, but down it falls anyway! Again, I'm SO SORRY!!! Though I'm thrilled that you got tix at all!!! YAY!!! Try for something better! Best of luck...so sorry...
Haha! Aww, mabel. Don't feel badly. If it makes you (and, well, me) feel better, I'll be on a plane to Europe on the 29th, so the 28th was my only hope anyway. However I suppose I shouldn't have told you that, because now I miss out on those extra U2 boots!
Now, SEATTLE on the other hand, I can make it to any show that they put up, so if you get GA for those and lose the transaction, I WILL light my hair on fire.
Wow, I'm surprised by how pumped my adrenaline was! Of course, I was so excited that I mis-typed the code the first time.
*flops into chair exhausted*
Only 35 minutes till Seattle!
Oh good, I don't feel so bad! Hell, I don't feel bad at all! You're going to Europe, you lucky little wench!!! The offer still stands w/ the other boots though...but I must say, I have NO idea how long it'll actually take me to copy them over to CD! Best of luck w/ Seattle...I think you'll be on your own on that one, because I've got to run some errands. Keep us posted! Just be prepared for an adrenaline kick like no other if GAs pop up! Even though I couldn't use them, I was so excited by those two little letters that I was momentarily at a loss as to what to do next with that crazy little screen!!!
Hey Tiff, how'd you end up making out w/ Seattle? I saw that they added a second show.
*screams*
I GOT F*CKING FLOOR SEATS TO THE SECOND SEATTLE SHOW WITHIN THE FIRST MINUTE THEY WENT ON SALE!!!//
I so excited and fangirlish I think I may faint. Now I know how you felt, Mabel! I was in so much shock when the window actually opened that I started to yell!!
I would have posted earlier but I'm at the Kaplan centre to write my practice LSAT and I had to bust outta the house eright after I got the tickets!
This is a great day. Now I've got 2 pairs of Vancouver seats (nosebleed for $95!) and a pair of Seattle GA and I have to decide what to do with the Vancouver ones!
HOOOOOORRRRAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!! That's so great!!!! I'm sure you won't have much of a problem getting rid of the other Vancouver tix. There'll be pleanty of people looking for them (either on interference, U2tours.com, or even eBay...you could always post them w/ a Buy it Now for the Face Value of the tix). That's so great! I know it's early and goes w/o saying, but I expect a full report! I'm hoping to be able to get a pair of GAs for one of the 3rd leg show in NYC (going right on out there and assuming that the rumors that they'll be back in October are true!). I hope you get a great spot, because let me tell you, being up close was unreal!!! It was electric! And you'll have fun in line. The 6 hours or so I waited for the Brooklyn gig went by relatively quickly. There'll be tons of people to chat w/...Now we all need to send decent weather vibes!!! Hope your practice LSAT went okay. I'm sure you were all hyped up! Wooohoo!!

CONGRATULATIONS TIFF, YOU LUCKY LITTLE BITCH!!!
I'm so glad you got tickets, because as you know, I plan on living the U2 experience vicariously through you. And I am not jealous in the slightest. Not at all.
*slaps Tiff hard in the face, because nobody deserves a day that great*
I'm so goddamn happy right now, I'm not even going to retaliate with cyber-punching or ugly avatars!
In fact, I think this warrants an avatar change! *scurrying off, skipping and singing Uno, dos, tres, catorce! HELLO! HELLO!
*BTW, Ellie, I'm still sad for you. *
Tiff, that's awesome!!! I'm only like 10% jealous and 90% ecstatic for you. Yay! I know you'll have an amazing time.
Thank you #1!
I'm still holding out hope for you and Ellie! Seriously, keep on checkin' the ticketbastard site once in a while! They'll keep releasing tix, esp. now that eBay and U2.com are apparently cancelling the transactions from people scalping at outrageous prices!
(BTW, Mabel - I'm in the same boat as you - I could have nosebleeds at the other end of the area but in the dead centre, or I could have nosebleeds next to the stage. In the case that I get greedy and go to BOTH concerts, I've gotta choose! Which ones did you go for?)

But...but...they will be playing MSG in the fall, won't they? Seriously, it is quite likely isn't it? 'Cos it's the only reason I haven't yet slid into madness/depression...
Yeah, they definitely will be (of course I'll be abroad then).
Now, Ellie, tell Auntie #1Elphie what you said about Bono with relation to Billy Armstrong, and see how she takes it.

Now, now Ellie---surely we can link Auntie #1 to that thread if need be, but better you be upfront about it...

I said Bono rocks - what more do you want from me!?! At least allow me to wallow in denial...*weeps softly*
Billy Joe DOES rock...so there.
Ellie, Auntie #1 is very disappointed in you. *glares disapprovingly at a seemingly non-loyal Bono fan*

Isn't he? Oh, sorry...67.
And why 2 shows in stinky Vancouver, yet only one in glorious NYC?? Pah - who wants to go to the smelly ol' Zimmerframe//2005 tour, anyway? Not I!!!!!! *breaks down on floor and convulses wildly*
He is 44, and I have absolutely no sympathy for you (but you know I agree about the whole crappy deal of only 1 MSG show).
