This is our new favorite, right mabel?

It took me a while to figure them out too, Jezebel! I still can't do the tricky ones like a smiley face playing a violin, or humping a sheep.
In other news, I've heard Speed of Sound a good few times now, and I still don't think it's as good as their earlier songs...I was hoping it would grow on me, but alas...no.

Indeed, Elphie!
Oooh, if only there really was one humping a sheep!!! What fun!
Yeah, Speed of Sound isn't a favorite. I like several of the other tracks better (and I still think this'll come in #3 album wise), but it did play well live (the SNL performances were pretty lackluster in comparison to ours though, IMHO)

Does yellow snot mean my cold's improving or worsening?
Yes, we had a bond over it...remember the verbal lashing we gave you when you mysteriously disappeared last week?!?! If there were a sheep being humped, it could be ours...alas, there isn't.

My granny always used to say dousing your head in gasoline and setting it alight was a reliable cure for the flu - why don't you give it a go?
Hi, by the way!
Figures that Mabs and #1 would turn to beastiality with a four-legged creature during Ellie's absence.
Ugh. Hi.
*headdesk* WHY AM I HOOOOME?
I've got a fever. I need to get some drugs and lie down for a bit. Oy. My head.
What can I say, she's a bad influence on me!
I think yellow's a bad thing...sorry.

Go lie down! We'll pretend we care about your return later.
And does anyone else get a faint musk of cod?
Oooh, Ellie! They're playing HMTMKMKM on the radio now!!! I know that's a fav of yours!
*tries to think up witty reply while forehead burns up*
Fine. You win. Just for tonight. Evildoer, picking on a poor dying girl. DYING, I tell you. (And it's day 3 of my rag. Could it BE any worse?) DYING. So you've won the battle but not the war. Poopiehead.
Oy, yellow snot and a fever. This blows.

I love that song. The first time I heard U2...ah, memories. *wipes away tear*
Oh Tiff...That's rough. I think you should go veg somewhere (totally not trying to get rid of you, but you sound like a wreck!)
I made the mistake of blasting Seattle 2 when I was in the car today, and then that mother F*CKing whistling guy popped my eardrum. It didn't seem like such an unclear recording when I heard teh KOL/Vedder sample. Perhaps it's because the audience was quiet then.

Yes, go veg out somewhere - honey and lemon might help. Or perhaps cyanide?
*goes to find HMTMKMKM*
Oooohh, ladies!!! Wanna hear my totally irrational, unfounded (though still slightly, marginally, quasi-plausible) theory on NYC October??? Ok, I'll just lay it out and elaborate after: Coldplay opening for U2 at MSG in October.
*pauses, waiting for the laughing to stop*
Ok, so Coldplay's totally obsessed w/ all things U2. That's been pretty well established. Also noteworthy is the fact that Coldplay's US tour ends on September 30th in VA. Unless they add another leg right after it, couldn't there be some marginal chance that this MIGHT be an outside possibility??? You heard this bold prediction here first!
Oh, if only! Toronto gets Keane - aka. Coldplay Lite - and we get the real thing? Nice. Even though Coldplay isn't really up-tempo jazz-you-up type of music, it's a welcome change from Chalkboard Nails KoL!
Now I lie down. I'll talk to you folks later on tonight or tomorrow. I'm DYING.
That would be pretty cool, mabel! Only if they'd open in November too, though. It *is* possible, though we've learned to always think like pessimists here so I'm not getting my hopes up.
And it took me a few minutes of pondering to remember what HMTMKMKM stands for.

Aah, Toronto. The best Canadian city.
Have I expressed my hatred of Keane before? I don't think so, but yes, I despise them. I reeaaally hope it's not Keane in October. Coldplay would be amazing. *gazes into distance*
Was it you who suggested Oasis, Mabel?
'Night Tiff!
Well, I don't have my hopes up by any means! I wouldn't start doing that until I heard serious rumblings of it on U2 sites. I was just browsing over their concert dates, and I thought "huh...that'd be interesting!" I wish they'd just announce the opening acts for the 3rd leg already! Though if the long wait means they're getting better acts, they can take all the time in the world!!! KOL once is enough for me!
Ooh, I just watched a video of CoBL from my show. It's a pretty bad video, but it's really interesting to see the view from the front. It really makes me want to go again to get a different perspective!
Yeah, I'm pretty psyched to see it from the front tomorrow and progressively get closer in October. Even though we'll be behind the stage, I'll already know what the rest of the show looks like, so it's all good!!! Woohoo!
Side note, I haven't heard from my friend in two days. She tends to be on the flighty side...hope she calls me back tomorrow morning! Oh well, I'll feel bad for her if she doesn't end up going, but at least I have both of the tix, so I can use them both if she ends up bailing.
She'd be crazy to pass up on U2!
