Well, that sounds like it could have been rather amusing, C-Q-Taboo! I've seen some older pictures, and they're hilarious!

CQ, did you bring back a lock of Colin Farrell's pubic hair like Tiff asked?

And Tiff, did you see Mabel's suggestion of letting the thread die??? Blasphemy, right?

*screeeeches*

Whaaaat? Mabel? Did you say what I thought you did???

You got tickets to the Oct. 14 MSG show??? Lucky bitch!! On the bright side, if I miss picking anything up on the other two dates, I can give you the dough to get it for me!

Oh yeah, as for letting the thread die, I'm okay with it. Just post when there's something worth posting. No need to bump just for the sake of bumping. It's not too hard to search it when there's something worth talking about.

Hey now, my priorities are in a row. Simmering in my jealousy over Mabel's newfound Oct. 14 tickets. THEN simmering in my sadness over this thread dying. But really, there's no need to come on here if there isn't anything to say. Has anyone even noticed my absence (on BWW) over the last two days? *cries*

Hey, I made note of your being "among the missing" yesterday!

And what was up w/ your post about picking something up for the other two dates? Do you want me to be on the lookout for the 7th?

Oh, and I was primed to go into uncharted territories, buying yet another pair of tix. I didn't end up getting them, but just after I finalized the 14th tix, I saw a post about some tix for 11/21. They were 100-level on Edge's side for $50! I probably would have just sold the 14th ones had I gotten those (100 ON EDGE'S SIDE!!!!...$50!!!) Bah!

And I figured it was just worth tossing out if the random bumps were becoming more and more futile...especially if the general consensus for us 3rd leggers seems to be that avoiding setlists is the way to go. I certainly don't WANT it to die!!! re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!

Dude, could you be on the lookout for the 7th? I would love you forever. (3 U2 concerts in 4 days...holy cow.) Where are you looking for them?

WHY DIDN'T YOU GET THE 100-LEVEL SEATS, CRAZY WOMAN?? There must have been a catch - $50 for lower bowl seats...too good to be true?

Wait, wait, wait - we're ALL avoiding the third leg set lists? *eyes dart* We are? What about just a little peek? Are we avoiding the 2nd leg lists as well? How did Brussels go? Did Jez get tickets for Ireland?

Ellie, sweetie, funny you should say "snatch", because I was just about to take a bite of your juicy, rosy red, fleshy......apple.

The Nov tix were slightly to the side (must have been the last section for $50). I just wasn't quick enough to get them (they were on interference, and it said only a dozen people had looked at it...they must have been VERY quick!) Dammit taking a long lunch break! I'll keep an eye out for Friday the 7th for you though. I don't know when you're heading back to Vancouver, but I think Elphie still has that one Tuesday ticket left. And IF I could wrangle up McCartney for Wed. would you be up for it??

I checked out Brussels and the gig today in Germany. I contemplated avoiding the setlists, but I don't think it's going to happen. They've been pretty much the same as Leg I. I guess they've been rehearsing Crumbs though, so I think that'll be making an appearance soon.

I'm back!
Sorry Tiff, I'm avoiding setlists until November after my concert. Mabel, it seems like you're the resident ticket broker. If you see any tickets for Nov. 22nd, let me know! And yes, I have an extra ticket for Tuesday, Oct. 11th, so if anyone wants that, it's up for grabs (I should go bump my Interference thread).

Thanks Mabs. Richmond was great! Aside from capsizing(sp?) while kayaking (wearing sneakers, jean shorts, a tank top, and no bathing suit). I missed y'all, though! BTW, I'll be sad if our thread dies!

Elphie, was your tank top white? re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates! (BTW, I'm in the process of downloading the links you sent me - I think YSI or my pooter only lets me download a certain number in a small amount of time, so sometimes it says the link is stale, but I try again later and it works, so this may take a while.)

Mabs, has this all been on Interference? I'll be keeping my eyes open for MSG in October (and 11/22 for #1) as well. 10/11 is tempting, but I don't know if I want to go by myself. Will you take it if #1 can't get rid of it? (Are you selling it at face value? Why hasn't anyone bought it already???)

You just reminded me that I have two singles for Vegas that I need to get rid of. :-/

Oh yeah, I'm up for Paul McCartney still!

Oh Elphie!!! That sucks that you dumped! Did you have to meander around in soaked clothes all day? And I hope whatever body of water you were kayaking in wasn't too funky!

Yep, both the pair of tix I got and the pair I missed out on were on interference. I was checking it compulsively at work this week...along w/ several other websites, in my excessive down time. I have class on Tuesday nights, so I can't take it off your hands, Elph...not that I'd need to go to another concert that week anyway!

I don't think my four concerts is necessarily something to be proud of. But then again, I also go see plays over and over again, so really, what's the difference??? At least I'm not as bad as some of those nuts who've gone up into the double digits. I was reading some post about someone who saw 70...seven-zero...Elevation shows. That was Elevation alone, not total by Elevation. That's just staight up caziness!

A craziness that you can only aspire to, Mabel!

Some questions to keep the thread going, as I'm slightly bored:

What's your favorite U2 album cover?

What's your favorite song from HTDAAB?

What's your favorite song from 1980s?

What's your favorite song from 1990s?

Pineapples - yay or nay?

Hey!! Has anyone noticed the One Campaign ad with Brad Pitt at the top of BWW???

Ellie, how are the travel plans going for NYC and Europe?

What's your favorite U2 album cover?
I like Achtung Baby. Don't know why - the pretty colors? Oh, and my favorite U2 cover is Bono's "Unchained Melody" on the '80s-'90s B-sides.

What's your favorite song from HTDAAB?
LAPOE is such a damn sexy song. I can't explain it, but the opening, and then "Laaaay down..." just get me squiffy. And STYCMIO...I grew a new appreciation for it after seeing it live. Oh, and Vertigo is just a fun bop-along song. But LAPOE is my favorite.

What's your favorite song from 1980s?
Just one??? Hmm...I'll maintain that "Unchained Melody" made me teary, but it's not at the top of my list, plus I guess it's not really "their" song. So I'd have to say...*stumped at the difficulty* Probably something from Joshua Tree.

What's your favorite song from 1990s?
Why do you make life so tough for me, Ellie?? I really like the first 3 songs from Achtung Baby. And "One" is good. And after listening to the Best Of CD again, I like "Numb".

Pineapples - yay or nay?
Yay! Only if they're fresh and not too tart. But they give me sores in my mouth if I have too many. Or maybe that's the herpes...

Ok, I'm game...

What's your favorite U2 album cover? Hmmm...maybe The Unforgettable Fire. I think HTDAAB is up there in the least favorite category (considering some of the other promo shots I saw somewhere from before the album came out, I think they could have picked a better one).

What's your favorite song from HTDAAB? I'm quite partial to Fast Cars, despite the fact that it's not on the actual general release.

What's your favorite song from 1980s? One song? I think not! So, here are a few: Running to Stand Still, Bad, One Tree Hill, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Seconds, Out of Control, All I Want Is You, etc, etc.

What's your favorite song from 1990s? Cliche', but I think One is pretty far up there. Gone and Ultraviolet are up there too. I don't know.

Pineapples - yay or nay? That'd be a big fat YAY!
