I went to the Eiffel three times (once at night and twice during the day, just because both tours had a sightseeing bit that included that). Twinkly was very pretty. During the day is nice too, but it was raining when we were there. Oh, and a pickpocket tried to scam me. I have a photo of her too!

A few things...Ellie, yes, the harpsichord music was playing out loud on the computer. I don't know if he'd downloaded it, or maybe he has a stash of harpsichord CDs in his desk?!?!?

Tiff, I think you missed the poll on what was the best/worst era for hair/attire...nothing major.

That article on the One bracelets was sad, but sadly not very surprising.

Hmmm...what else?!?!? I don't know....Elphie, I still haven't heard back from that chick yet. I'll let you know.

The third of the sellers e-mailed me to say that I could have one single ticket for US$500. That's just way too expensive, right? He says he has a number of parties interested so I'd better act fast. Whaddyathink?

I think that's crazy!!! Of course it's totally up to you, Jez, but the college student in me (aka: the very, very poor part!) cringes at that...Are you sure you can't finangle one of the other dates? There's a Sat. up on 4throck for $90. What a pisser, Jezebel! While it's totally your call, I think I'd have to hold out for something else.

Holy F*CK! $500?? Where's this seat located? If it's anything short of having a primo seat near the stage with a full view, I would tell that guy to go f*ck himself!

(When's the show there again? I would say go linger by the doors an hour before the show - as the scalpers by then will have less time to sell of their load, they'll drop the prices before the show starts!)

Oh, and Mabel, if you're still thinking of getting a better Seattle 2 copy to finish your trade, I'm about to start downloading the third one that's been released. It's on the torrents, but I'm DLing the YSI version right now.

(And #1, if you're still around, I finished DLing the rest of the MSG YSI links last night so I'm done! Thank you. Oh, and you should know that your first e-mail sending the songs for the second time wound up in my Spam box, so you should double check that, eh?)

Yeah, I think you're right. $500 (about Euro420) is a whole heap of cash - but the memory of seeing U2 will last a lifetime.
I think I will hold out. I'm not sure if I believe he has other interested parties, anyway.

Off to bed now...maybe he'll lower his price tomorrow!

And oh, I forgot to tell you - your stuff is finally in the mail!

Jez, I just saw on interference that tix were available for Croke earlier today. I just tried looking for tix, but it said the site was down for maintenence. Keep looking!!! I haven't even bothered looking at TM, but I guess w/ it getting closer, that may be the place to look afterall! They usually do release some as the events get closer.

I forgot about Ticketmaster! And was it you Tiff who suggested mugging the crowd as they go in? That's always another option.

The seat the guy was selling was in the Hogan Stand, which probably means nothing to you, but it's fairly decent. He said I could have a pair for $850. I'll pass.

Don't encourage Jezebel, Tiff. You know if you buy it for $500, the next day something'll show up at face. Tell him/her, you'd only entertain the notion if you can buy it the day of. It'd drive me BEYOND crazy to pay that much and find out that they release a bunch on TM or something. But, it's easy for me to say that. I've got tix up on the fridge for October. *sigh*

In all seriousness, Jez, don't spend that much money on one ticket. Save it for Live 8! (Oh, I gest.) There will almost definitely be tickets release online on the day of the show on TM, and you can buy tickets from scalpers at face value (or under) right before the show starts. It's a much better option. And you've always got a picnic by the canal if that fails!

And I mean, you've got 3 chances, right? So why not scope the scene on the first night, and then try for scalped tickets at a cheap price on the next two days?

Yeah groupie, he's a peach. Luckily it's not really a cubicle (even that's what I'd said earlier)...we kind of share an extended desk on one wall of our office-room-thingy. Thank god it's not an actual little closed in cubicle. I think I'd really be going nuts!

No, I haven't. I'm download phobic, so I only get what my generous fellow crazies care to pass along! I'm glad you got a good copy of your show though!!! That other one wasn't so bad, but the whistler did get annoying.
