I wanted to know if any of you have used the Crest 3D white strips? If you had success in whitening your teeth or just a waste of time and money. I'm using the one that you do for thirty minutes a day for 20 days. Some reviews I have read that some people experienced pain from it. I have only completed two days, so have not experienced that yet. And hope not to.
After a few minutes of having them on, I can't even begin to express the amount of pain I was in. I tore them off, scratching up my gums in the process. I honestly don't ever remember anything being as painful as that was.
I didn't get any pain, but saw no difference whatsoever.

Jordan, did you apply the strip over your gums? From what I read, that is where the pain originates. Some people have stated to make sure you avoid covering the gum area.

Hopefully I will see a difference. They are not that bad, just from drinking cola. My nephew had to make a comment to me. I was just too cheap to pay the $200 the dentist wanted. Updated On: 7/10/13 at 07:37 PM
I tried them once but I felt like they weren't easily staying in place so I couldn't move my mouth the whole time they were on. Not painful, but very uncomfortable.
They're ridiculously expensive and don't do much. At least nothing worth the price you pay for them.

I purchased them at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Regular price was $44 plus tax. I used a $7 Crest coupon and 20% off BB&B coupon. In addition, they have a $10 rebate. So when everything is said and done, it will have cost me about $20. If they don't work it won't be the first $20 I pissed away.
They have never worked for me, they taste like s@#t, make my gums tingle and my teeth sensitive. I dont have the patience for them honestly. They slide around.
If anything I might do the zoom whitening.
Betty, I sort of feel the same way. I will just go for the pro job.
I use white out.
A few months ago I used the strips for sensitive teeth and saw enough of a difference that I didn't feel I wasted money. You do have to upkeep though, as my teeth now have basically gone back to where I started.

I used the Aquafresh White Trays a few years back and saw some improvement, though I'm sure not as much as if I had had it done professionally. I haven't used the Crest White Strips to compare, but it seems like the trays were a bit easier to use than the strips, as you simply had to bite down to get the gel to smear on your teeth, rather than trying to wrap them with the strips.
A word of warning, don't sneeze while wearing them. That was a bit of a mess to clean up.
I saw a huge difference when I used them but you have to accept that they're only going to remove stain build up and bring your teeth back to their natural colour.
I've used a pack a year for the last three years and I'm happy with the results. If you want an Omo smile this product isn't for you.
I'm knocking sixty years and you young un's shouldn't even need this sort of product yet.
Quick edit: If you have sensitive teeth this product is the last thing you should consider using.

I tried them a while back and was pleased with the results. I never experenced the pain some are describing. However, if you have had any type of laminates or fixes for a chipped tooth. The White Strips will NOT change the color of that fixed tooth repair. Your own tooth will lighten and the part the dentist applied (and color matched to your natural tooth color) will remain "discolored" looking.
I didnt see any change when I tried them. They also never stayed on the teeth that well.

I've had the zoom treatment a few times but noticed that my teeth returned to their natural color about 2 months later. I'm now looking into a permanent solution including Lumineers.
pay the $200....you get what you pay for. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Didn't say there was. But there's no guarantee that after paying $200, the teeth don't go back to how they were, a few months later. I'd much rather piss away $20, than $200.
I think the strips are a joke but the mouth wash is legit. I get compliments on my teeth now.
Wow, ucjrdude, nice teeth!
Oh thanks SNAFU, I use the Crest mouthwash
. Haha.
Really though, I've had people comment they've noticed my teeth are whiter. You do it for a minute at a time, twice a day, etc.
