Very happily listening to the Original London Cast Recording of MARRY POPPINS.
This is a gift to me from a very sweet BWW member.
I thank you with a huge smile for making this a very jolly evening.

Was it, by chance, delivered by floating pink umbrella?
It's a mystery. :)
And how!
I heard about that package! Happiness is a smiling Glebb!
Undi and K you wouldn't believe how many times I've gone into Virgin, Tower and Borders in the past two weeks. They know me by name. Finally last Friday Tower said they have one on the way and would hold it for me. I need to tell them thanks but no thanks tomorrow.
The sweet sender has a keen sense of timing and a huge capacity for giving.
I concur Glebb! ALways giving and thinking of others!
So you like the CD? I hated the show. Wondered how the CD stood on its own. Nobody talks about this show. I seem to recall seeing some post about it when I first joined that had, basically, the same opinion of it as I do.
I already adore it and want to see the show in London badly.
I might have to wait for it here and I think Erin Dilly would be perfect.
Glebb: Is that a possibility? Is it scheduled to come over next season?
Anyone remember someone posting a negative review or thoughts on Mary Poppins? I just did a search, but can't find it. Not that it really matters, but I remember reading something that I thought the person felt just as I did about the show. Just wondering is anyone remembers who posted that review so I can look it up by username.
I have no information.
CM2 - I remember that as well - what did you not like about the show? I've heard it was kind of like Wicked, where the critics weren't too crazy about it, but the audiences loved it...
I think the whole cast of Chitty should be transferred for the US run of Poppins
Cookie, you and I agree one hundred per cent.
the show will require a big house....many of them looked locked for some time...maybe the Broadway (depending on how Mambo does)
Actually, I just found that post. This guy hasn't posted in some time. Anyway, I felt pretty much the exact same way.

I for one can't wait to see Mary Poppins.
Never really a fan of Chitty...
not to mention, a stage with a prominent arch that can be viewed under the overhang of the mezzanine
I loved this Chitty.
I know I'll adore this Mary.
Chitty was fun and bright, Poppins somber and dull.
A lot of my fantasies come true but Poppins in London has eluded me so far. I would love to see it.
lol - the closest I came was seeing "Mary" in EPCOT... not in any way the same thing, but it was still impressive!
oh, Glebby... Mary in London is still a dream I hope to make happen.
And, a number of us are in agreement that the current Chitty cast would make a marvelous Mary cast!
It is now Cookie and who has something to do with that?
