Now that Deep Throat has been revealed - what are some other mysteries you'd like to see uncovered...

To get the ball rolling...

Area 51
Where the heck is Al Capone
JFK

I kind of like the mysteries. Speculation can be fun. Area 51 would be interesting to know the whole story about it, but if we knew then movies like Independence Day and Conspiracy Theory would loose their fun a little bit.

Parmalat, I want to know how the hell they make milk that doesn't spoil. JK!

JFK is probably the one I'm most curious about, but then there's also that whole Bermuda Triangle thing.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Who wrote the book of love? Who put the Bomp in the Bomp-shu-Bomp? Why do fools fall in love? Is the Hokey Pokey really what's it all about?

Douglas Adams gave us the answer, but I'd really like to know the question to Life, the Universe and Everything.

sorry, I think globally, so I look at all mysteries, so.....

Who REALLY fired the "shot heard round the world" to start the American Revolution?.

Who was Jack the Ripper?

Did any of the children of Nicholas II survive Ekaterinburg?

Who REALLY fathered Czar Paul I?

What REALLY happened at Mayerling
(and since most here will not know what I mean, here's a link)

Is there a mystery surrounding JFK, anymore? There really never was one. Haven't all the facts and current forensics substantiated the Warren Report? I think that one's been put to bed. I'd like to know who killed JonBenet Ramsey.

There hasn't been a single bit of forensic evidence to prove it wrong. Not one thing. And, all of the current forensic evidence proves it right. There were about a billion shows on the subject in 2003 for the 40th anniversay. They all came to the same conclusion. No conspiracy. Single bullet. The film JFK was fiction.

what film? I don't need to see a film...I LIVED through this

sorry, those of us that lived through it, have seen so much crap about this for the last 42 years.
the Warren report is crap, it is not believable.....it is what the US Gov't wanted the public to believe.......

anyway, I am not going to get into a major disagreement on this.....you're entitled to your opinion, as am I

Even if you accept that Oswald fired the bullet (and discount most of Oliver Stone's movie), that doesn't necessarily preclude a conspiracy. There's still evidence of Oswald's connections to the Mafia, the FBI, Cuba, Russia.

Just who can solve its mystery? Why does it make a fool of me?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? How many roads must a man walk down before he is called a man? Why do we pronounce these words differently - tough, cough, plough, dough? Why did anyone vote for Bush, not once (everyone makes mistakes), but TWICE?

Hmmm. Mysteries. I'm partial to Maine's Oak Island. Legend says Captain Kidd buried treasure there, then booby-trapped the whole place. There's a very interesting article about this on the Smithsonian site.
About Ripper speculation, I read a fascinating book by Patricia Cornwell which uses forensic examination of admittedly limited and sometimes degraded samples that still exist. Can't recall the title, though, but it's something like "The Ripper Case Solved." Regardless, Cornwell makes some interesting points.
I wish they'd find Jimmy Hoffa's body simply because virtually every square foot of New Jersey is under suspicion!
But my favorite mystery? The human brain! What is imagination, for instance? Where does it all come from?

that's a questions for the Ages, Matt........why did anyone vote for Bush.....

as to the Ripper, Griz, there was speculation that Prince Albert Victor, Prince of Wales, and son of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra (the Diana of her day) was Jack the Ripper, due to many varying reasons.
In the end, proof was never that great, and most discount this.....but the thought always remains......
