We like the cooking shows and the Gordon Ramsey shows. We stay away from any of the others.

Don't watch any, haven't after the first few episodes of Big Brother. Have never watched a single America's Got Talent either. It is amazing how even if you don't watch this crap it seeps into your world.

I tend to watch shows where people DO something other than just win $ and conspire against others.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I do watch reality shows. Mostly the ones that require talent. Project Runway, Master Chef,and there actually was one about creating visual art. Didn't last more than two seasons, though. American Idol, the Voice.
I admit to watching some trashy ones like the Bachelor and Dance Moms. But I have never and will not ever watch the ones like Real Housewives, or Kardashians, or the marriage ones.
I believe that there is room for everything in moderation. I watch trashy tv as well as educational tv. I'm well rounded! (in more ways than one!)

Pretty much limit it to Project Runway these days. Previously watched the first few seasons of MTV's Real World, America Idol, The Simple Life, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and Celebrity Rehab w/ Dr. Drew.

The Simple Life was amazing. I have every season on DVD. Currently, I watch Drag Race and Couples/Family Therapy.

I'm a CBS reality guy: Survivor, Amazing Race and Big Brother.
Amazing Race has been rough to watch the past few seasons, but the other two are still entertaining. Love me some Julie Chen and look forward to having her back on my tv screen in a few weeks!

Your little brain can't grasp that someone like me exists, maybe you need to grow up. I love Drag Race because I like watching men pretend they're women, is there something wrong with that? It makes me laugh out loud and I don't get that from other stuff.

That's good you care enough to dig up or remember ancient posts, a little creepy but whatever. I also had the same question about many other gay icons but someone once explained it to me. What is up with you Jay? You seem a little uptight. There's no point in hating me I'm too innocuous.

I usta watch the |Amazing Race till it became all about the DRAA MMA! and less about the experience of travelling around the world and reacting to the different cultures. I still watch the Canadian version cos a) much less forced drama and b) it features my beautiful country . ( OK it also features international locations too, usually an Air Canada destination, but never the USA)

The Great British Baking Show (or Great British Bake Off) on PBS is real comfort TV. Lots of mouth-watering cakes in the sunny English countryside, baked by likeable and cheerful contestants. Just watching releases lots of endorphins, and the two hosts are pretty funny too.
There was even a charity version with Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley and Dame Edna once.
The US version was not very good.

I used to enjoy watching the shows on both the Food Network and HGTV. Then both went down the tubes and became unwatchable: competitions everywhere, real estate deals, fabricated "drama." Please, spare us the drama and just show us how to make cherries jubilee or how to choose an accent rug.
I used to enjoy the Food Network show, Unwrapped. It was fun seeing candy canes or lemon drops jiggling along a conveyor belt.

RuPaul's Drag Race, for sure. Including all the Untucked and bonus material.
For years Project Runway was must-see TV. The latest iterations have been horrifyingly bad, but sometimes, yeah, I still watch out of loyalty.
Amazing Race. There was a great season a while back where the Speed bump challenge in Russia hinged on spelling Chekhov's name right. That was a highpoint that the show has seldom reached since, but I still have to root for the gay guys every season, no matter how ill-equipped they are to play the game. (This most recent season, the two gay best friends were actually adorable and fun and the nicest two in the cast, so yay! They came in 3rd.)
