Thanks, Tink and Liotte!
Shira: OK, I always thought of myself as relatively well-read, and yet I don't know this book, classic though it may be. Why are you reading it? And thanks!
Erika -- I'm reading it for class. It's theoretical yet applicable ways to manage cities and make them more efficient to not only attract people but maintian a steady population. Frankly however, for two of my classes, I had read so many other things, I feel that if I read any more on city planning, I'll explode!
However, I did decide to base a research paper of mine on the revitalization of downtown Culver City, because they really did a phenomenal job with it.

Didn't they? It's kind of gorgeous, isn't it?
It really is. I grew up with the image of Culver City as the "wannabe Marina". It's really gorgeous what they did.
Erika, I'm so sorry for being this forgetful...please tell me what you're appearing in that is getting you all these rave reviews! (And "YAY!" by the way.)

Hi, Miss P! It's called "Sleeping Beauty Wakes," and there's a thread about it here, if you feel like reading a bit about it.

I remember reading about this now. (Getting old really does suck, Erika. Take it from me!)
It sounded great before and now that you've opened, it sounds even better. (You look so fabulous in all your roles, Erika. I wish I lived nearby. But next year, we're coming to SoCal for a visit, so look out!)
Congrats on the marvelous reviews!!!!
Miss P? You're SO not old.
Shira, you're SO not right!!!
Oh hush.
I got through half of my book. It's ridiculously intense.
I also have to quit smoking. It's the last of the non-caloric indulgences.
You quit this minute, shira!
I refuse to have another of my friends with a nasty, cigarette-originated disease.
Yeah, Hep's right. Plus, don't forget "Kissing a smoker is like licking a dirty ashtray."
Guess what? I have to. So wish me luck, y'all.
Luck, shira!
Thanks! Well, I'm off to bed. So g'night!
Night, night. Sleep well.
Congrats Erika! That's wonderful.

Oh, Erika, how wonderful! I'm just sick that we've had to bow out of the little BWW get-together/viewing (which we have, in case you haven't heard )
I know I shouldn't complain about having an involved and exciting life - but what about when life gets in the way of your life?!?
Have a FABULOUS run - you've worked hard for this success!

Thanks, DD!
No, I hadn't heard, DG. That's a bummer; I think you would have really enjoyed it. What's up???

The TinMan is in negotiations for the lead in two short films, and we have had to cancel EVERYTHING to make sure of his availability. As I said, it's hard to complain when you get what you ask for - but dammit, I want it ALL!
As you should, dear.
Sleep is the best thing ever!
How is everyone today?
I'm not quite awake. My alarm doesn't go off for another hour.
I hear that. I got up so I could go to the gym, but then opted not to go. I'm too lazy.
