I don't know how I feel about the PC-bashing, though. I've been working and designing on PCs from the start, except for a brief stint at an ad agency.
Just kidding... I keep on hoping they'll let me have a mac at work instead of a PC. Now that they have the intel chip and the programs are cross-platform...

Sorry to butt in, but brd mentioned Norton, and that's why I ultimately switched to a Mac. My Norton subscription had run out. I re subscribed and when I downloaded the new version, my Dell did everything but explode. I couldn't even use it .
I love my iMac. I make the analogy of the difference between driving a stick shift and an automatic is like trying to figure out a PC and letting a Mac drive itself!

OMG - brd is papa.
I don't know ONE professional musician who works on a PC - it's ALL MAC. And designers and architects forgot that PCs existed ages ago.

I may as broach the topic here. In all fairness, I must admit that my Mac came down with something in the Mac World known as "Random Shutdown Syndrome." (I'm not kidding.) You can probably figure out what THAT is!
It was horrible. But it IS fixed now.
It just bothered me because Apple has never produced anything so shoddy before.
