Who The #@#k Is Saul Alinsky? — Page 2

Can I give you one little word of advice? "Brevity is the soul of wit."

However, you go on and on and on and on about ME and even add some interesting facts about Alinsky and the Tea Party, but I am not sure what all of that has to do with my initial post. Bill Maher KNEW that there were morons out there who had never HEARD of Alinsky, and so he gave a rant that only mentioned that which HE (Maher) wanted his ignorant audience to know about Alinsky. The main idea of that rant was "Saul ALinsky: Who the HELL has ever heard of him??"
Well, my post response was to do TWO things:
1. Fill in the blanks that Maher CONVENIENTLY left out (how could someone try to sum up Alinsky without mentioning Rules For Radicals??).
2. Prove that Alinsky is a LOT more well known than Maher wanted his audience to believe.
You have (nor anyone else in this thread) have done NOTHING to disprove my claims!

Could you please indicate which part of my post was "ignorant" (meaning I obviously posted facts that were WRONG or not true. Well, please specify.)

2. Which of part of my post was "hateful and disgusting"? (I asked that one before, but you never answered it.)
3. Who had more facts about Saul Alinsky, me or Bill Maher? (Again, I asked that one before, you did not answer.)

I don't think anyone in this thread said Alinsky IS more frightening than any of these other folks. I was simply pointing out that Maher intentionally left out some very important things about Alinsky in an effort to diminish him and make him seem unimportant. His audience, many of whom have probably never heard of Alinsky, ate it up. Look at the first few posts on this thread. These folks actually thought they LEARNED something about Alinsky from Maher's rant. Yet, when most people think of Alinsky they don't think of him as a "Civil Rights" advocate, which is basically what Maher said. My post was simply educate those original posters a little bit better than Maher did.

I think the main point in Bill Maher's clip is that the right's attempt to link Obama to Saul Alinsky is yet another part of their smear campaign, full of lies, distortion, paranoia and open bigotry. And that, dear Mikey, is a fact !

My point was that the philosophy of R.J. Rushdoony is far more influential on current GOP leadership than Alinsky is within the Obama administration. And even fewer know anything about the former than they do about the latter.

Absolutely. I had to read stuff by Bork in college (just essays, not Slouching Towards Gomorrah, fortunately) and that certainly didn't inspire me to be more like him.

Alinsky wrote "Reveille for Radicals" in 1946. It was updated in 1969. "Rules for Radicals" was published in 1969.
BTW, all of the above are just my OPINIONS!
