Hey, I figure that if the heterosexual question can be asked, this should be fair game....

I'm not asking for mailing addresses here, folks, just trying to get a general sense of the numbers....

I lived in New Jersey all my life. I am proud of it!!!!!!! I live in a beautiful town in the suburbs. I am only 10 minutes from New York!!!!!!!

*jumps up and down, waves hand in the air* Ooh! I'm a Jersey native! And I'm still residing in the Garden State. ^^

I live in NJ too! But I really look forward to moving to Manhattan one day! Just for personal experience. And the fact that I'm young. Being young and living in NYC...I can't imagine anything better! I also love Staten Island. I have relatives there so I go often. I really like the suburban feel of S.I. Not too far from the city life when you want company, and just enough space for when you want privacy! Though it is getting crowded nowadays. NJ is TOO boring for me! Just married couples and their children...I'm not in that frame of mind yet!

BroadwayNYC, how can you say N.J. is boring? I get bored easily and do not find it boring. There are millions of things to do, they have clubs, stables, tons of malls, the Papermill Playhouse, great cinemas and restaurants, the shore and Atlantic City. Don't you watch the Sopranos? Gee Whiz.........re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Who's from Jersey? (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

Broadwalady: I don't like the NJ club scene. But I'm not much of a club goer. I prefer the intimate european cafe style bars. And I love the arts: museums, shows, reading, concerts, photography. I live in a nice suburban area, and people don't really talk to you much. They just rush from their cars to their doors and v/v. The malls are nice but what, go to the mall everyday? AC is 3 hours away...I guess I'm more of a city girl. I'd like to know things are just walking distances away - that's how it is in Athens Greece. I love being around people and meeting people. I love to talk about the arts and philosophy. Actually I don't watch the sopranos...it insults my intelligence. I'm sorry, I don't mean for this to sound as a personal ad!!

That thing you do

Dollypop, keep up the good work. Some of us enjoy and appreciate that thing you do. I have found you to be many things, but never annoying.

Here's one of life's lessons: You can take the English teacher out of the preposition, but you can't take proper use of a preposition out of the English teacher. Deal with it.

re: That thing you do

i was born in nyc but when I was 6, the family moved us to Manalapan,NJ and I HATED it...then we moved back to Manhattan 2 years ago..then last jan we moved to Hoboken and I love it..it's the closest thing to the village (as far as looks) and it's only 10 minutes by path train to nyc... 5 minutes by car... If it wasnt so far away I'd definately move to Redbank NJ.

I was born in Little Rock Arkansas but when I was 2 days old I cam to Jersey and still live in the same house. In central jersey - Sayreville. It's not so bad I'm not to far form the city. I do hope to some day live in the City but up untill now It's been a place I don't mind calling home.
