Exactly. Elisabeth doesn't challenge Rosie or Joy. She is so lightweight and so often misinformed, but she never shuts up. Her interviewing skills are deplorable. She only has this job because she's conservative. If she were a liberal, they'd fire her the way they fired Debbie M.

Aisha Tyler was fantastic.
She was on GHOST WHISPERER on CBS with Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Elisabeth gets on my nerves for the reasons may have stated already. I don't know, I ignore her and focus on my daily dose of Rosie.

while i don't like Elizabeth, i don't really think her interview skills are "deplorable". often times she's the only who had the nerve to read up on people who guest host on the show. all the others seem shocked when she mentions some tidbit about a guest on the show and they often roll with her punches.
maybe she doesn't know how to segue very well, but she DOES know how to google.

She does know how to google (or someone with access to her earpiece does), but she also does not know how to process that information most times. She's usually wrong about the simplest of facts, and even when she's not wrong, she can't incorporate those facts or questions into the conversation without bringing the discussion to a halt because of her ineptitude. I've lost count of how many times she's interrupted a conversation to ask a trivial question that had nothing to do with what the guest was just talking about. I don't dislike her because she's a conservative. I dislike her because she's Debbie Matenopoulos all over again.

See the way we're all talking about her? Network executives know what they're doing. As bad as she is, that's what they want. They have their noses to the ratings, and if they were going down, they'd be making changes.
I know there must be plenty of intelligent conservatives they could give the job to, but they have more people talking because of how bad she is.
At least that's what I think!

The View has now a much higher profile because Rosie, who is a big star. EH is the least known and talked about co-host of the show. I think she is like a brainwashed puppet. So you could HER or any other conservative, and it'd be the same kind of attention.

Ok, the community that visits BWW is very limited.
Rosie and Barbara are famous internationally. Joy is known in this country, as well as Elizabeth, but honestly I didn't even know who she was. Joy has been on TV for 10 years on The View. Elizabeth, to me(and I've never watched Survivor) was a complete unknown until Rosie joined the show and I started watching.
But anyways, I get your point. And I hope that you don't think that BWW represents America(I wish it did, I'd like to live in a world of mostly liberals, bitter queens, closeted teens and theatre people)
Still it's your opinion like you said, and you have a point.

Posted: 4/20/07 at 9:47pmElisabeth H. may be talked about, but it's not in the way that makes you want to watch. I have fast forwarded segments because I can not stomach her. She ruins the show for me.

OK! Lets just have a table of loud mouth liberals! Will that make you guys happy?
No matter what woman is in the conservative spot on the show, she will always be bashed. I don't care what any of you say.

WORD. They would never find ANY conservative that would be considered informed enough for this crowed. ANY conservative opninion is immediately wrong and dismissed no matter who the person is. Oh well.

Posted: 4/20/07 at 10:25pmmuscle-no worries, I'm just saying that I really believe that the network bigwigs know what they're doing. they know more about their numbers and demographics than we do. I believe they're enjoying a ratings level right now that's quite high. I don't think they'll change anything until they need to. So- no matter how much we hate watching some of the hostesses (I can't watch Barbara), the show is in good shape business-wise.

Posted: 4/20/07 at 10:32pmI agree with you Jane. Why don't you like Babs though? She founded the show after all, and hired Rosie and Joy!

Sounds good to me! But then I'm just another one of those loud mouth liberals.
Actually, I think it's important for the show to have a conservative voice. I just wish it was someone who could form an intelligent, coherent sentence and keep up with the conversation. Rosie may be a loud mouth (and thank God for it!), but Elisabeth is inept and inane.

Bill Maher's show as well as TO THE CONTRARY work so well because they bring on guests who are evenly matched in debating skills and knowledge so that all points of view are brought to the table in an interesting, enlightening and entertaining way. This does not happen on The View because elisabeth is inept and inane. Barbara Walters has to correct and chastise her most episodes. She brings nothing to that show even when she's doing the interview or cleaning segments. The show would be so much livelier and controversial if they had someone who could hold their own in an intelligent and provocative way. Some people want to make this into a conservative thing. It's not. I will repeat that I find Elisabeth as annoying as Debbie--annoying in a turn off televsion or fast forward kind of way.
As an aside, Barbara Walters is also annoying during the Hot Topics segments because she has to remain neutral so she rarely says anything of any importance She's too busy trying not to offend anyone.

Now, everytime I watch, I laugh when Barbara talks because of these 2 comments by Jane2 and Cmleidi. You guys R funny!
