Who said anything about apathy? That's your assumption. And it's wrong.

Don't you think it's hard to argue that when we have the highest incarceration rate in the world? How does the fact I'm not ok with that make me apathetic?

I can not look at the poverty rates in this country or at how they disproportionately affect communities of color and puff up about how the freedoms here are so great.

Folks who believe that tend to continually vote against their own best interest. Our country has been spiraling toward becoming a plutocracy for over 30 years now, and many who are negatively impacted vote to perpetuate the trend, for reasons that I cannot comprehend,

All american government is plutocracy. Liberals, "independents," Republicans. They're all a bunch of hypocritical greedy Asswipes who only care about their ego, their money, and their power. Millions of dollars in benefits and perks every year for congress. There should be a term limit for all

It's funny to see the mythical "centrist" put independents in quotes. What a surprise the "centrist" invited US citizens who are honest enough to be critical of the country to move somewhere else.
