All of New York City and Long Island are under a blizzard warning from 6 a.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday, along with parts of New Jersey and southern Westchester County, the National Weather Service said. That serves as an alert for residents to expect heavy snow and high winds -- possibly dangerous conditions.

New York City and the Hudson Valley are forecast to get 12 to 16 inches, while interior New Jersey is likely to see slightly less, anywhere from 6 to 12 inches. New Jersey's I-95 corridor may get the biggest break, with 3 to 6 inches forecast by the latest models.

Facebook is prepared. There is an issue with Facebook connect on other sites now, so you keep getting sucked into it to an error message. I don't know if it's just on Google Chrome that this is happening or other browsers. But, I can't even get on weather.com right now. Bastards.

Today was sunny, calm and cold where I'm from. Starting tomorrow afternoon through Saturday afternoon, we are supposed to get 2-3 feet of snow.
