I just thought I would bring this topic up after seeing Miami Vice yesterday. Wow, such boring crap. Did not like the movie at all. Same goes for Lady In The Water.
But anyways, any other movies that you would suggest to not go to?
I haven't been keeping up with summer movies at the rate I usually do, but I'd say The Lake House would have to be pretty darn high on this list!

My Super Ex-Girlfriend. I actually wanted to walkout halfway through. Boring. Predictable. A complete waste of a premise and the talents of Uma Thurman, Anna Faris, and Raiin Wilson. As for Luke Wilson...meh...

How's You, Me, and Dupree?? It looks like it'd be pretty awful.

Oh, I second The Lake House. One of the most ass-tastic things I've seen in ages.
And...no Keane song! The damn commercial was such a tease.

You, Me and Dupree is another eye-roller, been there-done that summer comedy. If you think you can guess the story line...you probably did. It's that obvious. All the points of conflict and the obvious resolutions are laid right out from square one.
Another waste of talent. Can't believe the studios greenlit this as one of the better choices. It was marketed because of the talent not the story. They sucked us in and then failed to deliver anything worth our time.

I think I laughed once throughout all of You, Me and Dupree. Was not funny at all. If you've seen the trailer, those are all of the almost funny jokes in the entire movie. So if you've seen the trailer, don't waste your $9 just to see the jokes in their horrible context.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend looks pretty bad. Probably because I don't like Uma Thurman and Anna Faris.
It looks like Little Man relies on titty jokes to attract audiences.
I've only seen Superman, Devil Wears Prada, and Pirates of the Caribbean....and of those, I hated Pirates, liked Superman, and loved Prada.
Just about anything that plays on 5 screens at a multi-plex is crap-tastic. I have always been about indie film and rarely do I find a summer blockbuster that isn't a steaming pile of dung wrapped in good marketing and an excellent trailer. So few films put out in wide release are worth anything nowadays. All the talented writers are found in independant cinema. Movies for the masses are usually poorly written junk with a few good scenes or effects that they usually show in the trailer.

Pirates!! Worst movie ever. I didnt like the first one either tho
If you didn't like the first (which I did not), why did you see the second one?
I liked Prada, and thought Lady in the Water was okay.
And I'm with Betty - I'd rather see an indie flick.
Speaking of which, did you see BUBBLE?
Give me a break with Pirates -- it wasn't the worst movie of the summer let alone ever- not by a long shot.
My Super Ex was original and very fun!! Dupree was the absolute worst, it was a snoozefest.
You, Me, and Dupree was the same old same old.

I haven't seen it yet.
How much money do you spend on movie tickets per month, 86?
I personally loved Pirates. Has anyone seen John Tucker Must Die? It looks cheesy but I sort of want to see it!
Hated THe Devil Wears Prada (I finished reading the book the day I saw it and by comparison it was just painful) and I wasn't a fan of The Break-Up either. THe Lake House was surprisingly not so bad, and The Da Vinci Code wasn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I refuse to see either of the movies out from the WIlson brothers. But I would like to see John Tucker Must Die (because I'm really lame) and I also Can't wait for Talladega Nights: THe Ballad Of Ricky Bobby, because I LOVED Anchorman.

I loved it. Unlike Ebert, Roeper's criticisms rarely make sense to me, and he seems to shy away from defending his opinions.

lol I try my best to see the major movies of a given year, either on DVD of in the theatres. Luckily, my local theatres have great deals ($3-6 tickets), so I'm able to afford it with the money that I earn during the summer. Plus, I always ask for movie passes for my birthday and Christmas. Also, my library gets new releases.

I only saw The Devil Wears Prada so far, and it wasn't very good.

OMG X-Men 3 pissed me off SOOOOOOOOOO much.
Like seriously, How do you take a movie, that has had 2 great previous parts of a series, and ruin it with, especially when the premise had such great potential. Damn you Singer, DAMN YOU for jumping ship to Superlameman
