I personally think the idea is pointless, but that is coming from a 17 year old who has always prefered to hang out with the adults at parties, weddings, etc. What is the adult board going to have that the current two boards don't? Porn? You will still get the immaturity on the adult board.

Oh, I can guarantee it. The last editor of Drummer, before it went out of business, was a leather dyke who's very appearance almost made my military man friend crap his pants, but she was the biggest cream puff ever.

I think it would be a better and more managable option to have a Kiddie Pool. That would be a board that would just collect all the Hot or Not, Official, and I hate my Parents/Brother/Teacher threads regardless of how old the person was who started them. I would look at it as the Broadway World Recycle Bin!

If one doesn't like a certain member's opinions or grammar deficiency or WHATEVER, isn't that what the "block" feature is for? Isn't this also why threads show the poster who started them?

I don't think it is "Dehumanizing." You don't have to empty the recycle bin, the trash can just build up in there until the day you may want to rummage through it to see if you discarded something of importance by mistake. However, if you tend to have a hoarding disorder, it is best just to empty it without too much thought. As the "Clutter Buster" suggests, "When in doubt, throw it out!"

Can I ask a very stupid question (but then: I am a minor, so I guess I don't really have anything valid to contribute, anyway)? If I may, then: why do the "Adults" need a separate board? I understand that maybe they don't want to weed through a hundred threads on subjects that don't relate to them, but who says all of the kids can relate to a post detailing how horrible someone's parents are, or how much they love Shoshana Bean? There's nothing stopping you from creating new threads that deal with things that are relevent to you, and provoke intellectual discussions.
I don't know... I guess I'm just a little upset because it seems really discriminatory to create a message board designed for JUST a certain group of people, and it bothers me that so many people seem to classify all people under the age of 18 as the same.

I would think the purpose is to allow the kinds of conversations that one should not engage in with people under 18 around.

Other than to be able to use explicit language, I don't understand why there would be a need for an adult board. But, if there is one, I'll join and use explicit language.

I agree - with not understanding the need for an adult board. I guess since I'm a mature teen, I feel like it's a slap in the face for members like me.
Seriously - do adult members need a board so they can curse and post porn? This site is for Broadway, yes having an off topic board is great - why do we need an adult board, just for cursing and porn which will most likely be the content of the board.
