This is amusing- Politifact rates 26 recent Bachmann statements and 25 of them are "half true" or worse. She's giving Newt Gingrich stiff competition for biggest liar!
Lies, half truths abd Bachmanns
Joe, I love how they turn this: "I think one of the most impressive things that people find in your background is the fact that you and your husband have helped raise 23 foster children and I know you want to shield them but are they prepared and are you prepared for the loss of privacy that comes with the president campaign? And is that something you are concerned about for them?"
into this:
"ABC News' George Stephanopoulos said the media plans on investigating all 23 of Michele Bachmann's foster children"

With all the claiming that God told her this and God told her that, is it safe to assume that it's God who is telling her to lie?

Tom Petty is telling her to knock it off:
The management for rock and roll star Tom Petty didn't waste any time after Bachmann's campaign launch yesterday to send a cease-and-desist letter, demanding that she never use his song "American Girl" at campaign events again.
Cease AND desist, at once!
Now she thinks John Quincy Adams was one of the founding fathers, and then declined to correct herself.
John Quicny Adams a founding father?

She's right.
Wikipedia says so.

I just don't get this celebration of willful ignorance, no matter how long it remains a conservative American favorite.
“But even as an embryo, John Quincy Adams could feel pain and was a Founding Father." made me literally laugh out loud, though. I wish I could take credit for it.
I am dying for someone to ask her what newspapers she reads.I bet her response will be epic!
So, she points out being in the same town as John Wayne Gacey, serial killer, and chooses to use a song about a girl who committed suicide that is often associated for how it was used when Brooke Smith's character gets kidnapped by Buffalo Bill, serial killer based on real-life serial killer Ed Gein, in Silence of the Lambs. What's the next serial killer association? My money is on Dahmer!
Also,I am pretty certain JQA was somewhere in St. Petersburg having a nice liberal education when that whole foundation to our nation thingy went down.
I'm sure this is highly un-American, but to be honest I am SO over the founding fathers...the constitution too. Not everything that was appropriate 235 years ago holds true today.
Some people act as if it was handed down by Moses himself.
The constitution CAN be changed, y'know.
What can you expect, when it was written, according to Ms. Bachmann, by children?
Oh, I feel bad now. Gold star.
I am dying for someone to ask her what newspapers she reads.I bet her response will be epic!
If by "epic" you mean her answer would be The Schoolastic Monthly and Highlights (pre-K edition) then I concur!

......and that's how it REALLY happened!
"What's the next serial killer association? My money is on Dahmer!"
She always looks like she's feeling a little peckish!

We need to sit this broad down and show her 1776.
If we show her 1776, we MUST include the number that was edited out, because Richard Nixon disapproved of it:

That Rolling Stone article is a must-read. He is dead on when he said every gaffe makes her followers love her more- her popularity took a huge jump in Iowa in response to the John Wayne Gacy remark.
I actually thought that was one of Taibbi's weaker reporting efforts. I'm not a fan of his in general, as I find his extremely strident writing style so abrasive that I often find myself sympathizing with the loathsome people he's profiling, but that wasn't the problem here. It just seemed very cut-and-paste from several other Bachmann profile pieces that have already been coming out. Perhaps I've just read more about her myself than his usual subjects.
Maybe the scariest thing about her is all the evidence about how ridiculous and off-the-spectrum extreme she is and she still has a sizeable support base that could carry her disturbingly far in this process.
More and More Americans are laughing at this idiot each day!

Katrina doesn't want anyone to think she supports Bachmann- and she said NOTHING when they named that hurricane after her.

Even Republicans don't want her using a Katy Perry song.
I think Cat Scratch Fever is available.
No Fireworks, either
Patsy Cline's long dead, so I don't think anyone would mind if she adopted one of her signature numbers. Maybe mash it up with a Kim Carnes classic.

Crazy sure fits- but Willie Nelson wrote it and he's a Democrat.
I Fall to Pieces, then?
