Oh, come on, people. Get over the marriage thing. Hillary lied when she said she wasn't in favor of marriage equality, just like Obama did because they're both politicians and know how to play the game. No one "evolved". We all know it. It could have been political suicide to be in support of marriage equality in 2000-08 if you had any real national ambitions. They did what they thought they had to get elected. And, no, it didn't show courage, but there's gotta be some pragmatism in there.

Sanders...who has national ambitions...has been pro gay marriage since the 90's when he voted against DOMA.

That's the perfect meme to describe the state of American politics in 2015, artscallion. THANK YOU.

His policies aside, which undoubtedly contribute to this remarkable gain in the polls, this most recent surge is a clear indication that America is done with accepting the status quo of corrupt campaign politics and dark money from shadow corporations & lobbyists. Special interests have no place in our government and the people are finally standing up on support of that. No other candidate running, from Malloy and Clinton to Bush and Trump, can tout the same credibility.
i am not going to go back and see if this joke has already been made, so just burn me On the cross with a pile confederate flags, you vicious intolerant queens, but i didn't even know col. sanders was running.
personally, i will be writing in my own name - papa efrem loves zimbalist mambo, ix - on the ballot. because i don't trust any of these chicken f*ckers.
This Sanders boils chickens.

Jesus Christ. PalJoey is completely insane and delusional if he thinks that response was "magnificent." Keep those blinders on, buddy.
"The top lobbyist bundling for Clinton was Jackson Dunn, who represents Mastercard, Dow Chemical, Pepsico, and Noble Energy, a Houston-based oil and gas company. Dunn bundled more than $231,000 for the campaign. He wasn't the only lobbyist with ties to the oil and gas sector who went to work fundraising for Clinton. Lobbyist Ankit Desai, who works for natural gas company Cheniere, raised $82,000. Theresa Fariello, of ExxonMobil, raised $21,200 for the campaign."
With friends like these, how can you really "act on climate"?
Jeeeeeeezis!
You people are getting downright wacky with your 100% reality-deprived reading of those polls!
I think some of you actually BELIEVE the media reality-show hype that the November 2016 election is going to be between Bernie and Donald Trump!
This Washington Post analysis is from YESTERDAY:
Overall, 82 percent of Democrats have a favorable view of Clinton, while 15 percent are unfavorable (a scant 3 percent have no opinion).
Sanders's favorable rating is 36 percent among Democrats, with even more offering no opinion of him. Nearly a quarter -- 23 percent -- give Sanders negative marks. That's notable because, despite being less well-known than Clinton, his negatives are eight percentage points higher than Clinton.
WASHINGTON POST: Bernie Sanders’s limited appeal — even to Democrats
Don't take it from me and the Washington Post. Take it from Nate Silver:
NATE SILVER: The Bernie Sanders Surge Is About Bernie, Not Hillary
Hillary Clinton is beloved by voters in her party. In national polls, her favorability ratings among Democrats usually exceed 80 percent.
Nor do Sanders’s gains in Iowa and New Hampshire say much about Clinton’s vulnerability. This is easy enough to test. When a candidate gains relative to another, it could be because he is growing more popular, or because his opponent is becoming less popular. Horse-race polls, in which voters reveal only their first preference, won’t always be able to distinguish between these causes.
Favorability ratings allow us to say more. If Allen’s assertion is right — that Sanders’s gains represent an “anybody but Hillary” vote that could go to Biden — we should have seen a significant deterioration in Clinton’s favorability ratings. That’s not what we see, however. In the charts below, I’ve compiled all the favorability rating polls I could find among Iowa and New Hampshire Democrats since the start of the year. In Iowa, there’s been no change at all in Clinton’s ratings. Her favorability rating is about 85 percent, and her unfavorable rating is around 10 percent, right where it was in January.
Well, you think Hillary Clinton is progressive, so I guess we're both delusional. Welcome to the club!
Meanwhile Bernie Sanders is even catching on in Texas!
And how did Nate Silver do predicting the recent UK election?
"WASHINGTON -- Nearly all of the lobbyists bundling contributions for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign have at one time or another worked for the fossil fuel industry.
A list of 40 registered lobbyists that the Clinton camp disclosed to the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday revealed a number of Democratic Party lobbyists who have worked against regulations to curb climate change, advocated for offshore drilling, or sought government approval for natural gas exports."
Hillary Clinton's Biggest Campaign Bundlers are Fossil Fuel Lobbyists
Other Democrats running in the primary, including Bernie Sanders, have pledged to not accept donations from the fossil fuel industry.
